With Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl releasing soon, I thought I would pay homage to one of the most intense and exciting battle themes originating from the Sinnoh region: the Frontier Brain battle music.

For me, it's weird to think it's been so long. Feels like only yesterday I walked up to GameStop and picked up my copy, Pokéwalker included. And though I personally didn't play the original GSC until much later, it still feels nostalgic in my heart.

To be completely honest, this game and Gen 7 are probably the ones I know the least about, but purely based on what I've heard and seen, these games seem to be the golden standard for Pokémon remakes (and another reason Gen 4 is so loved).
Thoughts: This game gave Kanto and Johto quite a few layout tweaks (within locations) and had everything from Crystal added in as well. The game also added some things like two extra routes (with amazing music), a Safari Zone, the Battle Frontier (admittedly copy-pasted from Platinum, but the Battle Frontier is the Battle Frontier), and gym leader rematches. Also, I can't think of anything off the top of my head that they removed (I'd be interested to hear if they did). They really went all in on this game and it shows (I heard they didn't fix Johto's level curve, though). Also, Johto should be due for another remake soon (after DP)...
