After getting in contact with the firm she works in, I have found out my solicitor has been charged with perverting the course of justice. I'm facing a fraud charge and they haven't given me any information whether she can represent me or not. Also, why don't solicitors ever respond to emails or phone calls?
They said that only my solicitor, who is meant to be representing me, has access to the case file to maintain confidentiality. Should I get another solicitor?
Being a superhero is more stressful and dangerous than being a professional athlete, and we hear stories all the time about athletes who die early because of CTE, or who can't support themselves financially after they blow out their knees.
Are there any superheroes whose lives were ruined simply by being a superhero? Not necessarily by being killed by a villain or retconned out of existence by the latest universal crisis, but rather just mundane life ruined by something like being disabled and unable to work, or having dropped out of high school to become a sidekick and lacking education?
It seems like the kind of job that would have a few winners who get to sit at the big conference table, and a lot of losers who wind up unable to write their own names or eat solid foods by age forty.
