A list of puns related to "Oxygen Delivery"
I've tried over the past week, calling every number I can find. I've exhausted all of my options and now I'm trying Reddit as my last resort. Backstory for context: I have episodic cluster headaches. They are very rare and described as one of, if not the most painful conditions in existence. Women who go through childbirth often say that they would rather go through that experience again than have a cluster headache. They are also dubbed as suicide headaches, as the rate of suicide is much higher in people who get cluster headaches. I'm currently in a cycle of getting cluster headaches. It's 10am right now and already since going to sleep I have had 4 debilitating, stabbing headaches. They wake me from my sleep, cause me to pace around the room and generally look like a lunatic from doing anything I can to distract myself from the pain. And I'll be getting more of them throughout the day. It's like every headache I get is the worse pain I've ever felt in my entire life. And it's happening over and over like groundhog day. Medical oxygen is the best treatment for cluster headaches. When I breathe in pure oxygen for 15 minutes, the pain completely goes away and I can get on with my life as normal until the next headache kicks in. I used to live in Toronto and got oxygen delivered to my house. It was a lifesaver.
I now live in Whistler and can't find anywhere that delivers medical oxygen up here. There is one company that will deliver, but only very rarely like when a couple of the hospitals in the sea to sky need oxygen as well. They'll also only deliver me one weeks worth of oxygen. They didn't say how often exactly they come up, but it sounded like once every couple of months.
I would be able to get it delivered through Vancouver coastal health's home oxygen program but I don't qualify. The program is only for people with low blood oxygen levels (usually the elderly). They don't accept cluster headache patients.
If anyone knows of any way I can get access to oxygen up here I would be so grateful. I can go to the hospital, but as soon as I get a headache I'm unable to drive/think/communicate so it isn't really an option most of the time.
Thanks for making it this far through this massive wall of text. Hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving weekend!
UNAM is assisting medical experts in the fight against COVID-19 by 3-D printing innovative oxygen delivery device components designed by Namibian medical experts. Prototypes were completed today at our Engineering campus in Ongwediva and with the help of our Oshakati and Hage Geingob campuses we will test these devices.

Thanks to Anicia for bringing this to my attention.
As far as I understand, SpO2 (pulse oximetry) can be falsely high or low in methemoglobinemia. The higher MetHb is, the closer your pulse ox will read to 85%.
What is the best indicator to see if oxygen is being carried and delivered by hemoglobin? Is SaO2 on an ABG relevant? Why or why not? If not, would pO2 be the next best indicator? Any other measures to determine oxygenation?

This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 54%. (I'm a bot)
> Coronavirus patients in home isolation can ask for home delivery.
> Oxygen concentrator banks have been set up in every district in Delhi to give a boost to the fight against coronavirus, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said today.
> Coronavirus patients in home isolation can ask for home delivery of these oxygen concentrators at their doorstep.
> "From today, we are starting a very important service - we're setting up oxygen concentrator banks. In every district, there will be a bank with 200 oxygen concentrators. It has been seen that Covid patients often need to get admitted to ICUs when they're not given medical oxygen when needed. Sometimes patients even die. We have set up these banks to fulfill these gaps," Arvind Kejriwal said this afternoon in a televised briefing.
> "If any patient - in home isolation - needs medical oxygen, our teams will be at their doorstep within two hours. One person - aware of the technical know-how- will be a part of the team to help the patient and their families," he added.
> "Our doctors will be in touch with the patients till they recover so that if they need to be hospitalised, timely action can be taken," Mr Kejriwal said, underlining that any patient can dial up the helpline number - 1031- to get added to the list of patients isolated at their homes.
