Is it just me or there a lot of people in the Bay Area with a gold rush mindset?

There seem to be alot of people with the attitude I’m here to make as much money as I can and don’t care about the future of this place. I meet a lot of people who don’t seem super interested in settling down or have any interest in the community. I’m not sure If this is caused by the insane cost of living so people can’t see a future here or the gold rush mindset has caused the insane cost of living and social problems. For context I’m a transplant but I always dreamed of living here as a kid but I may end up needing to leave due to the cost of trying to raise kids here. It’s so weird to me so many people who made it big In tech and can easily buy a house and live comfortably also seem to hate being here.

STOP LISTENING TO CONTENT CREATORS. They are selling you hopium and making a lot of money doing it. They are the pickaxe sellers of the Gold Rush.

During the Gold Rush, the people who made out the best were the companies selling pickaxes to people looking to mine gold and get rich. Most gold miners failed and earned very little and/or nothing while the pickaxe companies made millions.

STOP BLINDLY LISTENING TO CONTENT CREATORS SELLING YOU HOPIUM, NO ONE KNOWS WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN. Posts that have "hopium" or positive outlooks garner way more views and interactions than bearish ones, thus making more money. While it's nice to have a positive outlook, these guys will be telling you everything is OK and to buy the dip all the way down to 0 because they will still be making TONS OF MONEY by saying that. If the market truly collapses and goes into a multiyear bear market, they will still be making money off hopium while everyone else loses a lot of money. They are in a win/win situation with their content and they do not care about you. They care about selling their hopium as views which makes them money. If the market tanks, goes sideways, or moons, they will be making money. You have ZERO evidence they believe in crypto as much as they say and you have ZERO evidence they even have their money where their mouth is.

Everyone is a genius in a bull market and hopium is selling at an absolute premium right now. Always be careful listening to people who literally get paid to say certain things by people looking to hear those certain things. When things change, they will not change with the times.

If YOU believe in Crypto, that's all that matters. Don't believe in Crypto because someone is making money telling you to believe in it. Form your own opinions. Crypto content is massive right now and people make A LOT more money posting hopium than they ever will telling you to be careful and pointing out the risks.

White Gold Rush: Lithium America’s Corp (LAC)

Currently those commies in China control 80% of the worlds Lithium supply. Well, Uncle Sam wants to take this back and there is one business with the American flag at their back which will be doing this $LAC.

LAC have exclusive mining rights to Nevada Thacker’s Pass, the second largest Lithium reserve in the world & the largest in North America.

As a base start for your intro to LAC there is a great interview recently with the CEO Jonathan Edwards here: The market for lithium: A metal miner with an out of this world valuation (https://www.cnbc.com/video/2022/01/06/the-market-for-lithium-a-metal-miner-with-an-out-of-this-world-valuation.html) don’t let the alarmist headline throw you, the CEO handles the value question straight out of the gate.

Okay, so you haven’t watched the video and instead just googled LAC seen it’s up a bunch and think, meh this isn’t for me, well, let’s look at the catalysts that are coming up:

Catalysts:

Thacker Pass approval, the judge just denied the appeal to stop construction. Ground is being broken people! Whilst this isn’t the final judgement, it is a great step in the right direction; two of the attorney’s for those trying to stop the mine just quit. Final judgement is in March and I expect the price to keep climbing ahead of the inevitable approval.

USA USA USA! It has political desire to take back lithium production from the measly 1% it currently gets itself and is subsiding hugely lithium production at home - see BBB, or whatever they replace it with & other legislation. The USA won’t allow a major ingredient in industry to be at the hands of the CCP and potential tariffs. LAC is going to be the key USA based supplier of this & all other based innovations/products that come from lithium. This will be reflected in legislation, if they can every agree to write and vote on any.

Lithium prices are rising exponentially - Google Lithium prices - and are much needed in the clean tech revolution; EV, battery etc.

LAC has just received multiple price upgrades and has a 80-90% buy rating by analysts.

Recently approved acquisition to a further mine, taking total to 3.

Potential partners including Ford, GM and TSLA - the CEO JE states, we are in numerous talks with people regarding potential partners and are under NDA. TSLA ain’t far away from this mine… just saying.

Elsewhere:

Look, we all have picked a sports, I mean Car team, whether you are Ford or TSLA or GM or Lucid or are a GME ap

XPDI - The bitcoin miner that sells shovels during a gold rush, the AWS for crypto with $200M profit in 2021 and $44.9M revenue last month

I know that the SPAC landscape isn’t doing very well right now, I am trading SPACs since FMCI and I see a lot of good and bad companies going public. I believe Core Scientific/XPDI is the most attractive investment you can make at the current price, and I will explain to you why I think so.

In their investor presentation they mention their Q3 2021 results with 1,588 Bitcoins mined which at the current price of $43k per Bitcoin is a whopping $68.2M. That's right, this is a SPAC with actual revenue. But that isn’t the only revenue-stream, Core Scientific also rents out hardware to 3rd party mining operations, it is like an Amazon AWS for crypto-currency mining. Their estimated revenue for the whole year of 2021 was $493M, that's half a billion USD.

Their projected revenue for 2022 is 1.14B USD. I know people are skeptical when it comes to revenue projections of SPACs, and that is the only sane thing to do. But given this projection is just a single year ahead, and that they already generated a substantial amount of revenue in the last year, I would like to make an exception here and believe them for a second. The best thing is, all of their projections are based on Bitcoin being at $30k, or 40% lower than it is now at $43k, which means in reality revenue and profit would be much higher if Bitcoin stays at the current price. If it goes back to $60k they would be 100% higher.

Source: Investor Presentation of Core Scientific

Their adjusted EBITDA for 2021 is $203M, and for 2022 they expect to make $572M. Just read the last sentence again, this company made over $200M profit last year, and is going to make $572M in this year. This is not some 2028 evtol revenue projection of a company that has a 3D rendering of an ugly looking helicopter, this is cold hard cash in a bank account.

Running a bitcoin mining operation and calculating your expected revenue for the future is basically dependent on a few variables. 1. Electricity cost, 2. Hardware, 3. Mining difficulty and of course the 4. Bitcoin price. The first 3. variables are pretty easy to project and I don’t think that there is much uncertainty in them. The mining difficulty for Bitcoin should have even developed positively, as many mining operations in China had to shut down.

So the revenue and profit projections of Core Scientific for 2022 really only depend on a single unk

How would you run a gold rush-type race for resources?

My players are currently in search of a rare and elusive ore called starmetal, which is harvested from meteors. In my world, starmetal miners keep a close watch on the skies for signs of meteorfall, and it then becomes basically a huge race to see which mining guild can get there first and lay claim to the meteor's precious resources. My players will have a bit of a leg up on the competition, as they know that a meteor will be landing on a specific night, but the mining guilds will also be old pros at this and should be tough competitors.

The trouble I'm running into is how exactly I should handle this mechanic? I know that the players will be running into some otherworldly being that has latched onto the meteor, but I'm sort of stumped for the actual race to the meteor itself. Any insights would be super appreciated!

Edit: I'm planning for this quest to take 1, maybe 2 sessions at most!

How Black People Are Being Shut Down Of The Weed Gold Rush by Greedy Corporations

Did you know how much the hemp industry is estimated to be worth in 2028?

$70.6 Billion. Yup, that’s billion with a β€œB”

Essentially, it’s the 21st century’s biggest gold rush.

But unfortunately, black people and the communities who need this money the most, can’t join it.

Instead, thanks to the Farm Bill and legal loopholes, the big greedy corporations are swooping in and making enormous profits.

What loopholes and laws?

Let's take a look at getting a cultivation license.

For example in Illinois, you have to pay $100K. That's insane!

Or in the same state, there is a law that bans people charged with drug possession from getting a job in the hemp industry.

This means they can’t even get a job at a place where they sell smoothies with hemp seeds in them.

They can’t even sell a smoothie for crying out loud?!

And that’s not right. And It needs to change.

And that’s why my friends and I decided to create a petition.

In this petition, we’re asking the Illinois officials to introduce the bill that gives those affected by the war on drugs a fair chance at rebuilding their lives.

If you’d like to support this petition, I’ll add the link in the first comment to this post.

If there is a monetary crisis why would people rush to Gold and silver?

Why would people start buying Gold and silver? They absolutely dobt understand what it is and its value. Why wouldnt they start buying copper or nickel? Or why would they go into Bitcoin and other cryptos? Or real estate? Why if there is a monetary crisis, people will choose Gold and silver and after the monetary crisis and reset is done, why would Gold and silver has value and how much that value would be in new monetary system after this one collapse? My friend asked my yesterday ,,if i buy Gold and silver now to protect my self in this monetary collapse, how i know Gold and silver will have value in the collapse and in the new monetary system and if it will have value, how big that value would be compared to other thing like houses or food?” He simply asked why he should buy Gold and silver and not for example House or anything else, he asked why Gold and silver would have value, how can anybody be sure that Gold and silver will have value in collapse and after it and how big that value would be compared to other things. He cant understand why would value of Gold and silver go up in this event and after it. Why especially Gold and silver? Why this stuff? Why not real estate or other real things? Can apes help find the answer to that?

The RUSSELL 2000 is on the verge of a major breakdown from it's sideways topping formation. This could be the first major US index to commence a downtrend since the COVID Boom. If this breakdown occurs, I expect it would be followed by the S&P, NASDAQ & Dow Jones.

RUSSELL 2000

I think the market is starting to recognise this risk and looking for some hedges as the HUI (Gold Bugs Index) rose around 7.8% which is the biggest single day rise in a long time.

HUI

Is this the start of a sector rotation out of stocks and digital currencies and into Gold and Gold Stocks? If so, it may just be the beginning of a new GOLD RUSH.
