So a team trains a team of osprey so that when a ball is going to be a homerun they swoop in catching the ball midair and dropping it to a fielder thus making it an out. This is foolproof because ospreys are wild animals and other MLB teams would be oblivious to the fact that they are trained. I would not be surprised to see a team use this in the near future. It can also be undetectable for people rewatching the games on YouTube like they did for the Astros because MLB can edit the ospreys out in post production. I think this is completely foolproof and the ultimate cheat.

This 18L REI Rucksack is awesome. Its definatlely a "one bag" because I've been looking for something versatile to take traveling; versatile meaning able to carry in the city and on the trail. I used to have 2 separate bags and decided to consolidate.
This rucksack is the perfect size for a day trip, and is minimal. the highlights include
- lots of hidden anchor points (14 actually)
- secure water bottle pockets (cannot stress this enough)
- comfortable padded straps ( wide enough so it doesn't chafe my neck....I'm looking at you Deuter!)
-laptop carry/hydration pack with false bottom
- And its $65 , very affordable
Now, I've owned a few REI bags before, but I'm honestly blown away with this bag and the Rucksack series in general. No knock on REI, but in my mind they're jsut a more generic/budget bagmaker. But damn this one came out of nowhere to become the best daypack I've used.

Saw three Ospreys flying at a pretty low altitude just now (2:15pm) out my window, anyone know what that's about? Looked like they were flying over Harlem east-to-west.
It normally runs around $340 but I was able to get it for 200, otherwise I wouldn't have considered it. Everything I've seen point to it being a high quality pack that I would use for some 2-4 night trips. Thoughts?
I'm a pretty upbeat guy, especially when it comes to rugby. But after the Ospreys got demolished at the hands of Glasgow and our upcoming tuning by Finn and Co. there really isn't much to cheer about.

Hi all,
I just wanted to warn people about an interesting experience I just had with Osprey. I had ordered the Osprey Daylite Travel Tote Pack because it appeared to be just the right size. The specs on the website put it at 16.93H X 14.96W X 8.27D IN. This seemed pretty perfect for me, and the weight seemed right for the size.
Except there was a problem. When I received the bag it was only 16 H X 10 W X 8 D IN. It was “missing” almost 5 inches off the width! In fact, it was smaller than my old Patagonia Ultralight Travel Tote Pack! I called customer service to see what was going on.
According to customer service, the width of the bag was measured when the bag was smashed flat. This included part of the side panels. I kid you not. Worse, they did not use the depth of the bag when smashed flat (about 1-1/2 in). Instead they used the depth of the bag when the bag was filled. In short, they used the side panels for both the width and the depth of the bag. They mixed and matched measuring techniques to make the bag size appear larger than it was.
This makes it impossible to estimate bag sizing. And we already know that the volume estimates are never accurate.
Needless to say, I was pretty frustrated. I expect bag sizing to be some approximation of the bag dimensions when filled.
Either measure it flat, or measure it full, but don’t mix and match!
Obviously the people doing the measuring aren’t the bag designers or the engineers.
