MISSION

Rebels have had a firsm grasp of the Sanginakt valley for years. This rebel stronghold has had a deep destabilising effect in this vulnerable region. The local government has had little success in trying to recapture the valley. The international coalition forces in the region have decided to launch an offensive to clear the valley and allow the government to regain to control.

The enemy is spread throughout the valley, mainly concentrated near the towns. They are known to have placed at least some IEDs. They have in the past employed VBEDs as well. Most of the combatant use the barely controlled border to enter and exit the area as they please. Therefore, at the end of your mission, you will set up a checkpoint at the end of the valley.

OBJECTIVES:

1. Clear the valley (from Bastam to Jilavur)

2. Investigate and destroy the reported BM-21 site

3. Secure the Feruz Abad Mine

4. Set up a checkpoint at the end of the valley (CP Juliet)

.

Map of the AO

The Manara Airbase is friendly.

.

FRIENDLY FORCES:

  • M1025 (M2) - 1Γ— per squad
  • Open-Top Humvee - 1Γ— per squad (I've chosen these because then you'll have excess capacity in case one of the other humvees gets destroyed)
  • 1Γ— UH-1Y (recon, transport and CAS)
  • Support vehicles at base

ENEMY FORCES:

  • Trained infantry
  • Untrained combatants
  • Trucks
  • Small number of captured BTRs
  • Explosive Specialists

CIVILIANS:

Most of the civilian populace has left the area, some still remaining.

CBB Saturday Minishindig Mission: Operation Democratic Anaconda

##OPERATION DEMOCRATIC ANACONDA

by Rage
TIME: Saturday, September 5th, 2015, 2100UTC

First - A Welcome! If you're one of those who came here via our post on /r/Findaunit or in the event thread on /r/Arma, allow us to introduce ourselves more formally. We are Clear Backblast! A somewhat-serious-for-three-hours-once-a-week-but-otherwise-cannot-take-ourselves-seriously group that primarily plays Arma 3. Hopefully you already knew some of that, because you're here. As a bit of an introduction to ourselves, we've got a few relatively short videos that we share to give an idea of what our lives are like on Saturday afternoons, evenings, and Sunday mornings (which of those depends solely on where you live). They are, in no particular order:

That part’s now out of the way. If you're still interested in joining us on Saturday, and we assume you are because the tab is still open and you're still reading, you'll need our modpack. This is done with Play withSix, and we've got a guide on the sidebar that will walk you through that whole process. If you encounter any problems, we encourage you to join us in IRC on Freenode where we'll be happy to help to the best of our ability. Similarly, we invite you to join our Teamspeak, the address is just clearbackblast.com.

The mod pack is large, yes. The good news is, if you've downloaded any mods before, you probably have the biggest ones already: RHS Escalation and the AllinArma Terrain Pack. Other mods we use that you may have heard of are ACRE2 and ACE3, the specific setup for each is in the guide.

I mentioned it above as a troubleshooting tool, but you are welcome to join our #clearbackblast channel on Freenode IRC to get to know people, not just troubleshooting. There are always folks to chat with in there and plenty of people willing to introduce themselves or help you out.

Lastly, we cannot stress the importance of getting these mods set up and trying them ou

CBB Minidig AAR: Operation Democratic Anaconda

Wowee was this one a doozy. As the mission creator I'd like to apologize for performance. I had hoped it would be better, but our turnout was way larger than I expected (39 was our previous record) and in this mission basically 1/2 of Chernarus was populated with bads, so I kinda expected it.

Aside from that, I hope everyone had a great time and that they're looking forward to playing with us again real soon. With all the pleasantries and that aside aside, down to the business of the AAR:

Any comments or stories you have from the op are welcome here. If you recorded footage, please post it here! Thanks for all of our old vets and all of the newer fellas for showing up. I had a ball leading the mission, and I hope everyone else felt similarly.

CBB Saturday Operation: A Longer Democratic Anaconda

Mission: Operation: Democratic Anaconda by Thendash

Map: Chernarus

Time: 6/29 2100 UTC/GMT

Modset: Clear Backblast! Primary Server Preset

Teamspeak: clearbackblast.com

Game Server: Clear Backblast! Primary Server: arma.clearbackblast.com

This weekend is Canadian "Independence" Day. To celebrate, we're going to invade Chernarus in another mission from our slightly devious Canadian Thendash. We felt this op didn't get the player count it deserved first time around, so it's about time we went back and did it properly (plus most of you have no clue what it's about, so it's like new!).

SITUATION: Russian Army 1st Motorized Infantry Division is in control of Krasnostav and the surrounding area, including FOB Klen and Airbase Krasnostav.

MISSION: USMC Alpha Company 1st Platoon performs a mounted assault on North Eastern Chernarus at 0920 11 OCT 2008 in order to facilitate the capture of North Eastern Chernarus.

Notes

  • We may or may not play a warmup for the first half hour of the session. Regardless, the formal start of the session will be at 2130 hours.

  • Same deal with the reserves as always, ladies and gents. If you're not sure if you can make it, sign up for the reserves. The rest of us won't make fun of you, we swear (not).

  • Saturday Operations usually last for around a minimum of three hours, but have been known to last longer. Past those first three hours, we do not expect anyone to continue playing; it is completely your own prerogative.

  • Clear Backblast! guidelines will be enforced for Saturday Operations. Don't be an idiot.

  • You must have filled out the survey (located in the sidebar) to participate in Saturday Operations.

  • Any questions, feel free to comment or send me a PM.
