A list of puns related to "Notarise"
Dear r/Singapore,
I'm an Italian SPass-holder a after finishing my past trimester exams, I was supposed to fly to South Korea to visit a hometown friend of mine.
I've booked the VTL-flight on Tuesday the 16th of November, but was blocked from boarding the plane without having to pay and serve a 10-day quarantine, as my inoculation was not administered in Singapore, but in my home country and my data has not been migrated onto the novel "Notarise"-app.
To look into this I've already visited the Singpass-offices, as Notarise reads out Singpass to ask if it was possible to migrate the data, however, I was forwarded to the clinic, where I've taken a Serology test (which proved that I have taken the inoculation), however, my clinic had never heard previously from Notarise at all.
I was still able to reschedule my flight to early December, however, my question hereby is, will I even be able to board the plane, or is all hope lost?
It's a bit frustrating, as I have multiple documents proving that I've taken the inoculation (e.g. also within the TraceTogether-app), but I still have no possibility to get my documents to be accepted.
Does anyone know how I could do extra tests to be able to migrate my data onto Notarise, or anything at all to not have to cancel the trip..?
Kindest regards and thanks in advance for the help!
Sorry, I know it's awfully specific but I didn't know where else to ask, and there isn't any information online about it. I have a flight booked to Germany (Lufthansa) and have no idea what I have to do to prove my vaccination status. We have a thingy called Notarise that is supposed to do exactly this, but I don't know if it will be accepted by Lufthansa/Germany.
Weird situation. Distant relative in Poland died leaving a big government loan, now family is getting mail asking about my parents and me if want to take on the βinheritanceβ - obviously not. We need to write a letter refusing and get it notarised. Can I get it notarised here?? Where? Town Hall?
Thanks!
Does anyone know to notarise a dolphin emulator in the U.K. so I can play a ROM on my MacBook? Completely new to this and wanted to play Pokemon Colosseum after so many years.
Downloaded something called handbrake but donβt know how to use it
My friend's a solicitor and neither of us are sure what to write on the documents (PgCE and Degree). It just needs notarising to be sent to the London foreign affairs office to be then sent to Vietnam.
Its good they found some bad people but still we need to figure out what exactly they did to bust them! We have the brightest minds in all of tech I know we can figure it out! I hope it had less to do with tor exploits than I think it did.
I 'm planning to have degrees legalised (UK). Notary advised I consult the embassy on whether to have degree copies or originals processed, told me different countries have different requirements. Embassy was not helpful.
Anyone can advise as to what Chinese embassies want?
Hello everyone! I need to notarise my Bachelor and Masterβs degrees with apostille and everything, and I am currently looking for notaries in Edinburgh.
Any recommendations on who to go to or avoid? Any people in the sub who have been through this process before?
THANK YOU!
I have a master's degree that I've authenticated at the Chinese embassy in my area. However to get in via the points system they might need my bachelor's as well (because my bachelor's came from a higher-ranked institution and I can get 5 points for it). Do I need to get that notarised and authenticated for my WPN application, or will the most recent degree (my master's) suffice?
My last WPN a few months back was approved with my master's alone under cat C, and I'm trying to go for B instead with points.
While I'm at this, has anyone gotten a WPN using points? Did you need to provide a lot of documents? (HSK certificate, undergrad certs etc.)
My child needs their US passport renewed and both parents are required to attend in person. This requirement can be waived if a notarised form is provided. https://eforms.state.gov/Forms/ds3053.PDF
I suspect that a notary in the US is slightly different than a Notary Public here but Iβm not sure.
Do I need a Notary Public to witness the document or can I use a regular solicitor? I would have to travel further for the former and Iβm assuming itβs more expensive.
Any advice appreciated thanks.
"Mac software distributed outside the Mac App Store must be notarized by Apple in order to run on macOS Catalina."
I've been told I need to send a document 'signed and notarised', and have no idea where to do that for, preferably, free. Any tips?
Can I pop into the bank and ask someone to do it?
I am receiving local notaries quotes to have my degree and DBS notarised/certified (around Β£100+) which is far too much. One company offered to arrange both the notarisation and the apostille but they're charging over Β£150..
I live in Newcastle by the way, hope this helps. Thanks in advanced.
I did read somewhere that you don't need to get notarised but copied from a solicitor.
Hello!
Some vocal proponents and shills on the internet and in privacy community are trying to defend and heavily insinuate lies about Apple's notarisation not being of any consequence, and claiming Linux does it, and is an ordinary acceptable thing.
There is also being thrown around a claim about Apple's notarisation checks being a documented process. Documentation does NOT make a thing right or wrong, it just establishes the flowchart or algorithm of a process.

That is all, folks! Take care and stay away from such garbage corporations.
Before my trip to Australia (Melbourne), I saw a post on Korea VTL and thought it wouldβve been useful if there is a similar one for Australia, so here it is! (based on my trip from end Dec to early Jan)

Total added cost: $312+$30=$342**
** I did not include travel insurance in the cost because I purchase them even for my trips before covid
** I also did not include the difference in flight ticket prices as compared to pre pandemic because I think it is minimal (less than $100). I paid $650 for scoot economy with no food but checked in of 20/40kg. I booked it alone so I have the whole row to myself, while my friends who booked together are one seat apart. If paying that small difference means I have an empty seat in between for 7h especially for solo trips, I would gladly pay for it even pre covid.

... keep reading on reddit β‘I thought getting a document notarised was cheap, but I've been quoted over Β£100 by one Manchester place (literally to notarise that a signature came from a person and a passport photocopy is the actual passport). Does anyone know a cheap place for notarising a document in the Manchester area?
This question is directed mainly at brits who have already gone through this process of getting their notarised documents.
I have my DBS and degree to be notarised, and iβve seen that in the UK itβs possible to just go to your local solicitors. Has anyone else done this rather than going through a notary public and how does it work? and What do you request the solicitor to write on the document?
I am slightly confused and I do want to make sure I go through the right process for getting these documents certified - any help would be great!
PSA: Please use Embassy site as official truth, as situation can change rapidly
I just completed a VTL trip to Korea, so here's a summarized list of todos! I tried to find the cheapest options. Summary of where to obtain each one below.
You only need to do 1-5 before the trip!
TOTAL: ~$600 (and 12 tests π³)

Overall, I liked the trip!
Pros
β Hip places like Hongdae are still lively
β Can to go popular eateries like Myeongdong Kyoja without a queue
β Was able to access Korean onsen (μ°μ§λ°©)
β Cheaper hotels. I got a four star at $76 a night.
Cons
β Volatile travel situation, the 10 day quarantine w
... keep reading on reddit β‘In August I sent my DBS and Degree, both with apostille and solicitor certified, to Korea using Royal Mail. Due to COVID and being non-couriered, they ended up sitting in customs for a month so my job offer was looking rocky. When they arrived at my agency they were incredibly water damaged, fuck knows how, I thought an envelope would suffice but nope. My recruiter also commented, "There's no notarisation stamp" but didn't elaborate on this. She still attempted to submit the documents at the embassy but unfortunately they weren't accepted. I assume this was due to the damage, my recruiter didn't clarify. So, that was over Β£180 down the pan.
Before I go through the costly process of certification/apostille and postal courier, I just want to find out is notarisation is still unecessary?
I called the Korean Embassy in London and they didn't seem to know. I have checked the Master Sticky and the information caters more towards North America. I have also searched the subreddit and the posts regarding UK notarisation are from a year ago.
For peace of mind, I'm looking for recent UK E2 visa applicant advice. Thank you in advance!!
TL;DR: There's a chance that your EUDCC code will be occasionally invalid for some unknown reason, and there is nothing you can do. However, it would rarely affect you as most places allow manual verification.
I've been in Europe for some time now, and have used the EUDCC QR code for vaccination verification since it was issued. Here's my experience in a party of four. We used the Green Pass app to load in the code of the second vaccination dose for ease of access of the details, and it's accepted everywhere. None of the official country government apps worked when loading in the cert.
France has heavy usage of the mobile phone QR scanners, but some just read the details off the page. We've encountered a single location (Xmas market in Strasbourg) where none of our codes were read as valid. Occasionally, one member of the party's QR code would be read as an invalid vaccination cert, and strangely, there was one occasion when that member's QR code works and the other 3 wouldn't.
We were turned away from a single restaurant who would not accept manually checking the certification when that one QR code failed. Re-generating the cert from notarize did not help either.
Checks are done at eateries, but not shops.
Austrians mostly manually check the details of the vaccination and most places will ask you to show your ID as well. A passport is not required, you can use NRIC/drivers license/some other form of ID. The important part would be that they can verify your name and DOB. The green pass app is still helpful here as it shows all the needed details in one screen.
Checks are done at eateries, but not shops.
They also mostly use an app to verify certs, and we encountered the same problem with that one QR code. The ID checks are the same as in Austria.
Checks are done at eateries and entrances to shops, but not shopping malls.
Checks aren't really done here, but I'm including it for good measure. I've only encounted vaccination status checking at theatres, and they don't do thorough checks. You could just show the notarise pdf with the header VACCINATION CERT and you'll be waved through.
I'm from the UK and I have to get my degree certificate, my TEFL certificate and my criminal background check (ACRO) certificate authenticated/notarised for my visa application. Could anyone help me with the specific steps to do this like what kind of solicitors I would need to call, how much it could cost and any other details? My recruiter is being quite unhelpful with this.
The other thing is my passport has my middle name but all of those documents don't. Is there an easy way to solve this?
Thank you for your help :)
Does anybody know of any notary website or any notary who could do it for free online most preferably and cheap... near powai if I have to get out of the house but i prefer online. Please do help...
I see people overpaying $10-$20 per signature at the UPS Store all the time when I get all my documents done at Bank of America or Chase for free.
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
ICA website states that both PCR/ART tests are both accepted as pre-departure tests, but websites such as Healthway medical states βPCR Pre-departureβ vs just simply βART testβ, without stating itβs for Pre-departure.
(Heading to Germany)
Thank you so much!
P.S. do I have to print out my notarise cert?
