A list of puns related to "Notary public"
I am thinking of transferring to LAU next semester. So I wanted to check if you guys are able to pay through the notary public at the 1,500 rate or if the uni is forcing you to pay at the 3,900 rate.
I am starting a business as a notary public in Connecticut and I wanted to know if itβs legal to charge a service fee or convenience fee. I see people saying they can make 100-150 dollars an hour as a notary & I know the charge per signature is $5 & mileage is 0.35c/mile but is there any way to get around that by charging for your time since youβre a business owner? I just want to maximize profit & donβt see how you can make money charging only $5 per signature. I donβt want to drive 10 miles for a 3 page document and make barely 20 dollars.
Need to get a document notarized for fin aid. Thanks!!
(Title) Does anyone know if there's a notary public service on campus or in the surrounding area that's easily accessible by public transport?
Edit: Thanks for the support, I have gotten my document notarized.
I went to my local branch of Bank of America, in Maryland, this afternoon because the state I was born in β not Maryland β requires my application for a corrected birth certificate to be notarized. Not great since COVID has made getting anything notarized in person a massive pain but thatβs the way it is. I made an appointment with the notary and indicated that it was because I needed two documents notarized (application and affidavit).
I arrived, waited 15 minutes past my appointed time, and was finally called into the notaryβs office only to be told that βwe donβt notarize documents like these.β She then told me I had to go to another public notary. I asked if she could provide a list of other notaries in the area, and she provided a printout of three addresses β no names, no phone numbers β of others who could potentially notarize my documents, of which two of the addresses were residential and one was a business.
I am so fucking livid right now, like white-hot blinding rage that will turn everything in sight into ash kind of angry. Can a public notary legally do this? What does that even mean that she canβt notarize βdocuments like these?β I was so upset that I didnβt bother sticking around after that, but I plan to call the bank tomorrow and ask WTF. Would that even make a difference? Or should I cut my loses and try one of the sketchy AF addresses from the sketchy AF list of notaries she gave me?
TLDR; Iβm a wee bit miffed.
Hello!
If you live in the state of Utah, and need your official letter of resignation from the church notarized (even though it is stupid that you have to) send me a PM. Having been in the church myself, I know what people have been through so I want to offer service for free. I live in cache valley, but I frequently travel to the Salt Lake area, and St. George area. Send me a PM, and we can work something out!
Just wondering if anyone has had experience with either a local or any of the online services available for a notary public? And who's even open during the lockdown...
Just need a declaration of common law status for work benefits witnessed and the local oath keepers are closed.
I've sent my application four weeks ago (all docs and money order), and haven't heard anything. I've called and emailed numerous times, but can't get a single response.
Anyone had any luck with being a notary public? (or renewing too)
Any advice is well appreciated. Thanks!!
Was wondering how much work is available as a notary public/ loan signing agent in San Francisco? I live in Central Cali and looking to move. Any insights are appreciated!
hi everyone!
iβve had to get a true copy of my university degree for a visa requirement to work overseas.
a friend of mine had to do the same and our university was willing to notarise her copy for her (for free) when she asked but when i requested for the same, they refused and said we donβt do that here
i was really frustrated as i still have to get the true copy apostilled on top of getting it notarised
i was wondering if anyone knows of any cheap notary publics in perth or any place/anyone that can do it for free?
thank you so much!
When a private document is presented to a notary so that he [verb in question] it so that the document has a force of a public document (it technically becomes a public document).
What is the technical term for the thing the notary does to the document?
In my country the literal translation of the term would be "confirmation".
I'm asking about the terms used in UK/US if possible.
Thanks in advance.
When I notary wants to say that he has compared the copy to the original and to confirm that it completely matches the original, what does he say exactly (the formal, official statement)?
"I hereby certify that I compared this copy with its original which is kept in my files and established that it _______________ the original."
Is it okay to say fully corresponds? Because, AFAIK, corresponds is used more in the context that it is equivalent, but not a complete copy-paste, for example translation certification.
I know it can be said like this: "I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and exact copy of the original" - but the structure in my example is different.
Thanks in advance.
I need to get a US notarized letter to close a US bank account. I know I can get this done at the US embassy downtown for USD$50, but I was wondering if there are cheaper and faster options that anyone has experience with? TIA
Edit: Just learned that the US Embassy has suspended notarial services, does anyone have experiences with remote/online notary services?
Need a Notary, especially on weekends? I also do laundry. Just bring it over, drop it off or do it yourself. www.northtryonlaundromat.com Thereβs also some good tacos next door.
My friend is a traveler in the UK and she needs to apply for some documents in her home country. To apply from overseas, her country requires her identity to be authenticated by a notary public. She needs her travel document, photo, fingerprints, and an authorization letter to collect the documents on her behalf to be authenticated. My initial search on other Reddit posts shows that notarization is expensive and may cost Β£100-200 or more. Some in those posts also suggest finding a solicitor. What would be the best budget options for her and where can she find those services?
