A list of puns related to "Non Alcoholic Mixed Drink"
Any good recommendations?
The 8oz cans are too much for me at once (I wish there were even smaller cans) so I want to try making non-alcoholic drinks with Red Bull, that way I have more than a few sips worth of a drink lol. Has anyone tried this with the regular flavor? I only see options online for the flavored and I already have some regular flavor at home.
I like tea, so I'm wondering if mixing it with tea would be good. Thoughts?
I like to mix things up from time to time. The same latte over and over again can get boring after a few months.
I've tried esprssso with orange juice and maybe it was because I was using a dark roast but all it did was make a more bitter orange juice.
I haven't tried espresso tonic yet. But tonic water is bitter on its own right? I would imagine it's not going to being great flavors to my espresso. But I will try and make it soon.
If you have a cold espresso drink you'd like to share, please do. I'm more interested in drinks thst are too similar to lattes and mochas, so nothing excessively milky or sweet.
I don't drink alcohol often but I know there are a bunch of cocktails out there. James even made a video on an alcoholic recipe.
I really like the taste of alcohol in sweet drinks, but i don't want to make drinking on a Monday a habit, y'know?
Hello!
For those who like to remember things, remember last week? The boys made a toothbrush that looked like a big ol' poo. Here's hoping they make a mint chocolate drink this week to complete the brown/green theme. We'll see.
After the travesty firing last week where Aaron somehow avoided the sack I thought I'd look into the business ideas for the lads who got sacked so far. Conclusion: shit business ideas which meant they'd never have been hired at the end, so SurLordAlunSugar binned them off early. Aaron must have something that could make him some money.
Harry: Bath bombs for kids where 20% of the profits were given to children's charities. Nice idea, crowded market, no real profit. Binned.
Connor: Mobile bar in a horsebox on the back of his Land Rover. That was literally it. Bin.
Enjoy this week!

Iβm in recovery but would like to visit pubs in the UK. Here in the US I order club soda, which sort of pretends to be a real drink. Theyβll usually put in a little straw and a lime sliver. Is there a UK version of that?
Pretty much the title. I'm in grad school and attempting to enter an industry that is very interesting but also has an extremely strong drinking culture. Seems like anytime I decline a drink, guys take it as a challenge to convince me to have one. Looking for ways to reject that will get them to stop without making things awkward (networking and referrals are huge here).
Edit: Well this blew up. Thanks for the advice, everyone! For those who said "Just say no", unfortunately that's not an effective option for me since many of these people wouldn't take no for an answer.
For those who tried to tell me to find another job or just not associate with anyone who does this: I would rather not associate with the folks who push, but I don't really have much choice for the next 2-3 years. This type of job is a feeder role for the job I actually want, and there aren't many other ways to get there, unfortunately. And this job is big on networking, so it's important to go to these events, be social, and not be a buzzkill.
I agree it shouldn't be this way and people should respect it when someone says that they don't want to drink. I'm glad we're in agreement on that. Please share the word with everyone else, no need to send me more messages/comments letting me know.
If y'all have been to Swig or places like it, that's what I'm talking about. Soda mixed with fruit/syrup/cream to make something even more delicious.
Have you tried it? What's your favorite recipe?
Something I can walk up to you and ask for three of without being a pain in the ass. Easy on the grenadine please.
A four pack of larger costs only a little more that what is basically soda water with beer flavouring. Why is it so damn pricey?
Week 3 and it starts off with a shocker:
Quit: Shama as sadly her medical condition prevented her from carrying on with how physically demanding the process is.
Both teams were tasked with creating a non-alcoholic drink as well as its branding and labels. Nick was a bit of a dictator on his team but his brand was decent and his team was able to sell over 10,000 cases of their beer. Sophieβs team had a terrible tasting drink (peppery water) and their brand was not eye-catching and looked really dull.
Sophieβs team lost and brought in Navid and Akshay for not contributing.
Fired: Navid for not contributing anything in the last 3 weeks.
The daily ritual when coming home from work used to be kiss the wife, play with the dogs for a few minutes, then get my drink. Then another, then another, then another, etc. Even thought a few times while giving the dogs their belly rubs, "You guys are cutting into my drinking time."
Still the same "hello" ritual with the Missus & the pooches, but now when I get my drink it's cranberry juice and sparkling water. Sounds nice and wholesome, right? But something occurred to me yesterday. I'm still doing the same thing I did while drunk, just no alcohol.
The mixing of the drink now is physically they same motions I went through while drinking. Even when I drink the new non-alcoholic mix, I drink it at the same pace that I drank the booze. I unwind after work each day going through the same motions I did while I was drunk.
The fact that it is the same motions quells the booze cravings, but it now makes me wonder if this is a good thing, or something I need to change to prevent relapse?
Thoughts gang?
So I have a friend's wedding coming up. I have my support plan of going with a sober friend. Also the bride has been my best friend since we were 15, and now she's a social worker. She knows my struggle.
But basically I don't want to be drinking cola or water all night. It will be my first time since starting my recovery road last year that I'll be in the presence of a bar. Also if I had something, like seltzer with lime or whatever, it could divert people I haven't seen in a while from offering me drinks. Mainly I want to avoid awkward moments, but it'd be nice to order a nonalcoholic drink that wasn't water.
Any favorites?
Really, though. Any answers or ideas to try?
I'm limiting my coffee/caffeine intake after 1pm, decaf doesnt do nice things to my stomach. Tired of iced and hot tea, drink 2-4L water while at work, and lastly, I really want to cut back on my vodka and whiskey.
MIO's are usually quite sweet, as are sugar free versions of juices. V8 / vegetable juices are ok, but more than a glass or so, and it becomes.. overfilling.
I front a louder band and in the past I would get decently drunk before we went on, I got a bit of a reputation for being (playfully) chaotic on stage, shows either went really well or were total train wrecks. (Think: The Replacements) Iβve quit drinking and havenβt played since, Iβm not nervous about playing but Iβm kinda nervous about capturing the same energy. So, sober front people, what do you like to do before a show to get yourself hyped up and in the zone?
Coffee? Energy drinks? Breathing exercises?
Edit; thanks for the replyβs everyone. I should mention drinking has never been a problem for me, outside of playing shows I hardly ever drank but after a while my stage antics became a part of our draw, less because I was drunk and more for the chaotic energy I had on stage in which alcohol played a part. I used to perform sober all the time and still with high energy but itβs been a while and so Iβm looking to develop different habits. Iβm not worried Iβm going to be just a warm body on stage, I know Iβm gonna rip it up as I do but figured maybe someone had an interesting pre show ritual that gets them pumped up. Anyways, thanks again!
I'll probably have a few soda waters with lime. I was thinking just to give the bartender a $20 off the bat. I feel like tipping a dollar or 2 a drink would make me come off as cheap.
Sorry for not posting last week's thread! Now back to your regularly scheduled content...
This week saw a big success for the new team Diverse, as PM Nick managed to pull off a lot of orders with his team despite a less than stellar product. Navid went home on the other team after not doing much again, but was it the right call? Discuss everything here.
I have a very dear and old friend who has struggled with alcoholism for many years. He went through rehab and this will be his first birthday sober since he was about 14. I want to make some fun beverages that are non alcoholic to show that I still want to celebrate him in a meaningful way but that making fun drinks doesn't have to include alcohol. It will be a small party, around 5-6 adult guests. Any suggestions? :)
I quit drinking 3 months ago, and I'm going to a club to play pool. Any mixed.drink.ideas for me?
As I've got older, I feel the effects of drinking - even relatively small amounts - the next day. It means any time I'm offered a drink, I consider what I'm doing the next day as I'll definitely feel it, even a small amount. Recently I've tried non-alcoholic versions of wine and have really liked it, it's like a miracle that I can have more than two glasses and feel fine that night and the next day. I was also surprised that the local supermarket had a load of choices.
Was wondering if anyone else has had this, and if they had any recommendations.
If I am going to a pub with my friends, what is the best non-alcoholic drink that I can buy?
Are there any good ideas for non-alcoholic mixed drinks?
Most research points to mocktails. Are there any tasty mixed drinks that are not an alcohol-less variant of a cocktail?
I'm just legit curious as to the reasons why you all drink non-alcoholic beer
