A list of puns related to "Nicholas Parsons"
Hello,
I've been listening to "I'm Sorry, I Haven't a Clue" for the past several weeks and I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me on why Nicholas Parsons became the butt of Humphrey's (and later Jack's) jokes. I know it's all in good fun, but why him specifically? He seems like such a likable person. It's a little bit easier to understand making Lionel Blair a punchline, though. :)
Did anyone listen to the programmes broadcast on BBC Radio 4 last Saturday in tribute to Nicholas Parsons?

I remember him only from Just A Minute and loved the show.
Edit: To give more detail, this was on what would have been his 97th birthday and covers lots of shows he appeared in, including one of Paul Merton's favourite episodes of JAM. I don't know why he always won. I'd love to share memories of him here!
Of course, Parsons is irreplaceable but, if there were a new series, who should take the chair?
Long serving host of Just a Minute Nicholas Parsons has died, a legend. RIP :(
Thought this was relevant for Ashens too because I read he was also host of the 'Live from Norwich' Quiz of the Week (remember the voice on Stuart's streams?)
One of the best narrators I have seen, for the stage show in the UK, albeit this was back in the 90s.
Sadly he passed away (in his 90s) earlier today.
I remember being very surprised to see him in the role, as I thought of him as a bit old-fashioned, but he was brilliant - and his legs looked fantastic in fishnets!
