Stage Breakdown
This stage can easily be cut into two parts. The first 80 km of the stage are flat among the Spanish southern coast. Then the road cuts to the right and the 2nd mountainous part begins. The 17 km long Puerto del León will start of the 2nd part. It's a long and irregular climb with varying grades. After a 30 km downhill part the Puerto del Torcal has to be climbed. It's shorter and steeper than the 1st climb with a 7% average. The stages finishes with a 20 km downhill section and a flat finish.
This stage could very well have the same scenario as stage 10. Trentin beat Rojas in a sprint a deux from an initially sizable breakaway. The climbs are hard so it's expected that a decent size and quality break is going to form. Either on the flat run in or on the first climb. Although the climbs are hard, they probably are not hard enough for the general classification riders to really go for it. Also because they are not optimally placed for GC attacks.
I hope the GC will go for it, but don't expect it with two mountain finishes ahead on Saturday and Sunday. I expect climbers who lost a lot of time and screwed up their GC to go for it: Bardet, S. Yates, Majka, Pantano, Alaphilippe, Costa, D.Moreno, Jungels, Pauwels, Monfort, Mas, De Gendt, LL Sanchez, Caruso , Lutsenko Soler and Buchmann to name a few. The riders with good descending abilities like Costa and LL Sanchez have an edge, just like riders who have a nice sprint. That's why I think Alaphilippe is the top favourite for tomorrows stage. His sprint is a great weapon as long as he can follow his breakaway companions.

Desde el Grupo de Comunicación-Extensión y Solidaridad se va hacer una comida solidaria el día 23 de Noviembre con el objetivo de recaudar recursos para el Círculo Podemos Motril y pasar un día entre buenas gentes simpatizantes de Podemos donde poder conocer y debatir distendidamente la ruta de trabajo y empoderamiento ciudadano, para ello os invitamos a contestar quien asistirá a tal evento para poder estimar la cantidad de comida a preparar. Hemos pensado hacer una Paella y unas Migas Campera. Para facilitar la subida a aquellas personas que no tengamos coches o no podamos subir paseando, a las 13.30, en el avión, frente a la gasolinera, habrá varios vehículos de voluntarios que se han ofrecido a acercarnos.
