A list of puns related to "Motion Sickness"
I usually never get motion sickness from games, but this one is definitely a first for me. It was so bad that I had to stop playing before going back to it. I found some settings that should help avoid feeling queasy.
Turn OFF camera acceleration for both aim and the regular camera.
Turn OFF wobble.
I lowered my camera speed from 8 to 5 for both aim and the regular camera.
Tried playing it with these settings and it surely helped a ton!
How long did it take for you guys?
I drive in an electric vehicle a lot and Iβve found that regenerative braking absolutely makes me motion sick. Iβm not always driving so I donβt always have control of how itβs being driven so other peoples driving really makes me sick. Has anyone had this issue and how did you overcome it? I really need to find a solution fast
Hi everyone! This isn't a super glamorous question but does any have recs for the best motion sickness medication? As I've gotten older, I get really nauseous on any simulator rides, (Star Tours, Soarin', FoP, & lots of the Universal rides)- but I LOVE riding them. What is the best medication everyone has found? Dramamine or Bonine? Any other suggestions? Thank you! (This will probably be cross-posted!)
Yeaβ¦so this new update. I honestly hate complaining butβ¦.this camera movement when you walk or move around is giving me really bad motion sickness. I canβt even play. Can we at least toggle this option on or off without compromising the graphics slider? Itβs literally making me nauseated even on the lowest setting.
So, I played YS origins on PS4 and I loved that game. I saw YSVIII was on Sale on Switch so I bought it and I am already in love with the game, of course, it's probably been said millions of times, but OMG the music in this series is AMAZING. I've only played YSVIII a few hours so now the bad part...
I am getting serious motion sickness and headaches playing this game. I'm a big gamer, I play tons of games, so this doesn't happen often. I think it's a combination of things, the characters move very fast, but the landscape on the Switch seems to always be moving very shaky and tiny, the grass, the leaves in the background, etc. It's more of a texture/movement thing, it's like fuzzy i can't really explain it. It's causing me to feel motion sickness when I play the game in both docked mode and handheld mode. It seems my eyes are always noticing so much mirco movement in the background with the textures because of how its displayed on the Switch. (obviously this isn't happening in other games like BOTW, etc with their backgroudn textures). I havent played it on another console so I dont know if it exists on PS4 or PC. I hope I get used to it because I don't want to stop playing the game over that, but it's the one annoying thing I have to say about the game.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about? haha
edit: ah i found the term, it's called texture shimmering. That's what's giving me motion sickness. I'm going to buy it on PS4. I called Nintendo and they gave me a refund as a one time thing they said.
Hey guys, kinda new to bboying so don't know a lot of stuff, only "power" I know how to do is like scorpion? Even then its a weak one lol.
Anyways, now you know my background, I wanna ask something. Is motion sickness a prevalent issue in bboying? I mean like with things like those headspins and stuff, does it ever become an issue? I've been quarantining so havent really had a good excercise session, and yesterday when I tried to learn swipes I felt a little nausea after like 2 spins lol. Could be because I ate a full lunch?
Today I tried spinning just on my toes and after 2 rounds I already felt a bit of nausea creeping up. I also ate a heavy lunch today, and wasn't even practicing anyways.
However this has led me to think, is motion sickness gonna pose a threat in the future? Maybe when the adrenaline is running I won't feel it but currently I have no experience with any spinny moves so idk lol.
If it might be a problem however, is there any possible way to avoid it?
I was playing with a friend for a long time and stopped months ago. We managed to get to the point we made the engine and were really excited about it however the rotation is making me sick, my partner would steer and suddenly I would see the entire raft rotating around me which made no sense to me as I felt like standing on a turntable.
We were thinking on playing again but the moment we remembered this issue we decided not to. Is there an option regarding this, perhaps a mod? It is not the water we already use the motion sickness option but saw nothing regarding the rotation.
I'm one of those people who get severe motion sickness from some games. First person perspective is almost always a major killer, and RE7 was a total no go for me (oh how I tried). However, I was able to watch other streamers play it okay, which was something at least.
I'm getting some really weird effects with RE8 thus far. I can't even watch demo runs without getting some severe sickness, the sort that keeps kicking in very suddenly (as opposed to the slower build up to pure hell offered by RE7). Now of course there's limited settings on demos, so it can't be a definitive indicator that RE8 will be unplayable to people like me, but it's not a great sign.
I've tried a couple of different streams and the same problem occurred. I noticed Carcinogen of all people actually mentioned he was getting some motion sickness when he ran through the Castle Demo. I feel like if a serious pro gamer like that felt it, maybe there's an actual problem with the game.
Anyway, I know I'm not the only one with the issue, so I was wondering what other people with The Curse are feeling about Village. Any impressions from gamers with a sensitivity so far?
I'm just reaching out to everyone on here. I'm just trying to get some info regarding the link between motion sickness and migraine. I'd love if everyone who experiences migraine would just drop a quick line as to whether or not you also experience motion sickness (with or without your migraine) and if you had it as a child/before the migraines. Not any professional study, I've just been looking into it. Thanks!
I just bought a Quest 2 yesterday.
The lenses were so blurry and I was fidgeting with that thing 100x over to find the perfect fit but there was just something about the visual fidelity of those lenses that were so out of wack, which in turn, made me extremely motion sick, however, I don't think it's the sole problem of it ... I just think the headset in general was making so motion sick I couldn't last 5 minutes without needing a nap the rest of the day or puking.
Now, I've always wanted an Index, but because of the cost .. that's why I bought the Quest 2 (and returned it today actually). It seems apparent that getting a hold of the full Index kit is impossible right now, I don't see it in stock anywhere, but as far as motion sickness, how comparable is it? I want to get into VR, but it needs to be pretty crisp for me to not feel ill.
Thanks.
I love cedar, but every visit after around three or four rides a dull sickness hits me like a bus and I have to tap out. It doesnβt feel like the typical nauseating motion sickness. Just wondering if anyone had similar experiences/fixes
Tw: Vomiting and disassociation
I discovered today that when I pick up purses, I get gender dysphoria so bad I get dizzy and nauseous. Since I canβt pass even when binding and lowering my voice, and the only pants I have fit only pennies in their pockets, Iβm often stuck carrying around a bag. All I have are reusable grocery bags and two purses. One purse is a loungefly Bambi backpack while the other is a crossbody purse about the size of an average phone. My wallet is bulky, so when I go shopping for my parents I always have to pick a poison.
No matter if Iβm driving, biking, walking. I become so disconnected with my body I have to sit down for half an hour so I donβt throw up. Even when I donβt, whenever Iβm wearing these cursed objects I canβt walk straight. I never carry anything more than my phone or Polaroid camera. So why do I get so sick?
Edit: I get more sick wearing a purse than wearing just womenβs underwear and clothes. Yes I try to bind and wear menβs clothes, so I notice that I only feel sick when I dress very feminine.
Does anyone else have this problem? After playing it for around 40 minutes i start to feel the motion sickness creeping in.. is it the FOV?
Only a few games gave me motion sickness before, one recent one being Subnautica but im not sure why this one is causing it....
Iβm almost graduated from training and Iβm worried about occasionally getting motion sick during times when I canβt look out the window from my jumpseat. Anyone know any tips/tricks to combat this? I was considering looking for an anti-nausea medication but I donβt even know where to start with that.
Thanks in advance! :)
Was really looking forward to finally playing Skyrim in VR as soon as I got my headset except I didn't even get out of Helgen before I felt motion sick.
From reading I found out Skyrim VR is pretty notorious for motion sickness but people can get over it. How long did it take you guys to get over motion sickness?
I do and I've heard it can be a result of sensory overload. Never put these two together.
Curious if anyone seen or experienced this?
First swim back after COVID lockdown, 50m outdoor pool during rain, looked at the grey clouds and felt quite nauseous after a few sets. Struggled to maintain a straight line. Carried on but it wasnβt the best session.
Former college swimmer with some open water experience (former surf lifesaver/beach lifeguard) but limited in an open air pool. Honestly, I think I might have managed to avoid swimming on my back outside before... Don't think it would be my technique but always possible & obviously fitness could be a factor. Used to coach and lifeguard at an outdoor pool (avoided getting in) & I donβt remember ever seeing it before.
I recently started playing the game and probably about 3ish hours in. But I am having a hard time even playing more than an hour just because the way the camera moves. I did disable the swaying option but it still feels very intense at time just walking or running away from enemies.
I just wanted to see if anyone else was dealing with this or if they found a way around it?
Hi everyone. I've been having trouble playing Valheim recently due to motion sickness and I was hoping you might have some suggestions to help alleviate my issue aside from what I've already done in the settings. I'm in the early game and haven't made it super far. Maybe 10-12 hours. This isn't sailing related. My motion sickness occured while in the Black Forest and Meadows gathering resources or building my base.
This is how it went down the other night. While I was cutting down a tree I started feeling dizzy. Looked away from the screen for a minute and it went away. Messed around in my settings and turned off Motion Blur. An hour later it happened again (I don't remember what I was doing the second time). Went back to the settings and turned off Camera Shake. Then finally right before I was going to start winding down to go to bed, I got so dizzy I almost fell out of my chair. Felt like I had the spins from drinking too much. Wasn't fun. I probably should have stopped playing after the second time I felt dizzy tbh.
This has never happened to me before playing games and I've played other games since with no motion sicknes issues. So I'm inclined to believe something about Valheim is causing this. I've disabled Motion Blur and Camera Shake, but I didn't know if there was anything else I could adjust in the settings to help. Any advice or tips beyond "Take a break once in a while" would be much appreciated. I really like this game, so I want to be able to actually play it without being dizzy. Thanks!
Hi everyone, i noticed that this game is giving me major head aches which feels like motion sickness.
I though at first it was just me not getting used to third person games, but i went back into sekiro and felt no headaches whatsoever. I tested out as well Doom Eternal and was feeling fine. Its this game in particular thats giving me headaches.
One more test is that i tried out Witcher 3 because the camera positioning there is similar vampyr when in doors, but again i was feeling fine there.
I cant figure out why, but this game is giving me a really bad nausea
Was super pumped to play the remastered Nier:Replicant and boy did it take me for a ride. Emerged from my first 1.5h with nausea and a headache β and Iβve been gaming for years with zero motion sickness problems. Automata, for one, had never been a problem!
Granted, having experienced no other symptoms of morning sickness yet at six weeks, I canβt be entirely certain of the cause. I do know Iβm going to limit future forays into the game to 30-45mins, though!
Has anyone here experienced something similar β found yourself unable to play certain types of games, FPS, and the like β through first trimester and beyond?
I play a lot of games quite regularly. Mostly FPS games. I played both Mirrors Edge games. Regularly play halo, borderlands, nba 2k21, some racing games with my son, doom eternal, destiny 2.... just a bunch of stuff. Don't get motion sickness from any of them. Never have.
This game absolutely wrecks me. I played for about a half hour night and when I started getting a bit of a headache and dizziness. By the end, the headache was unbearable and I had to stop. Headache went away shortly, but now I don't know if I can play this game.
Anyone else struggle with this one?
Edit: and just to clarify I don't think it is a stadia issue. It's running great on here. No complaints at all on that side of things.
I just picked up Sekiro to try out since I love all the other fromsoft games but woah, not even a few minutes into the first area after getting my grappling hook and i had to stop because i physically started feeling ill.
iβve never had this happen.
iβm not sure if itβs because the camera is so chaotic or if the characters movements are very sudden but i had to turn off my screen and lay down
anyone else had this happen? suggestions on dealing with it?
I reduced my camera speed from 6 to 3 but now it moves so slow, and being used to high sensitivity it just feels weird....
Just finished reading this study where 24 out of 25 people get sick in Nature Treks VR, with 15 getting sick from controller locomotion and 9 getting sick from teleporting.
A 96% sickness ratio is a complete outlier and doesn't shape up at all with the real world. If it did, VR would have died long ago because almost no one would be able to use it.
The reason for such a high number? They theorize it's because of the strange requirement they set where participants have to move in-game constantly for most of their time in the app, which is clearly not what Nature Treks is supposed to be. This means teleport users have to spam teleport almost all the time to the point where it might as well just be normal movement.
See. This is what motion sickness studies are like. They only test the limits and make it as extreme as possible, which gives outlier results. This only helps to determine causes of sickness for use in research but does nothing to give us good numbers to go off.
I'm on Ps4 and thinking of buying but I read people get motion sick playing this, can you turn off motion blur and expand fov on ps4?
Hello, I need help to fix RE7 settings cause the game is giving me serious nausea. I just bought it on steam for my gaming laptop, is the regular PC version not VR. I turned off the wobble yet by the time I got to the first saving point I was ready to hurl. I donβt know anything about FOV or degrees or anything like that, and most motion sickness fixes I see are for the VR edition. Can somebody tell me any graphics setting fix? I heard the game was really good but my head is spinning right now and I think I will try to get a refund before is too late.
Edited: Thanks for all the help! I tweaked the setting and it helped a lot...however I still suffered episodes of nausea. Game seems interesting but is also a vomit-aid. I will ask for a refund.
Title. Did anyone else feel motion sickness while playing as of the game was meant for VR almost.
Does anyone else have this issue, I get motion sickness playing BL2, I've changed FOV from 80-110, I still feel bad no matter what it's set at. I run at a constant 100FPS to avoid frame drops, I got everything set to low latency but I play for a little bit and I feel like I gotta barf.
Now here's the really weird part...
I played through BL2 once, and I did get a little motion sick but nothing too bad, then I played BL3 for like 6 hours, and now I went back to BL2 and my motion sickness is dialed up to 13, but BL3 doesnt give me any motion sickness at all, whats going on?
I just started playing this game. It is a fun game, but I easily get motion sickness after a few minutes.
How do you prevent it?
Hi everyone! This isn't a super glamorous question but does any have recs for the best motion sickness medication? As I've gotten older, I get really nauseous on any simulator rides, (Star Tours, Soarin', FoP, & lots of the Universal rides)- but I LOVE riding them. What is the best medication everyone has found? So i am planning to get into vr with the quest 2, and the only thing holding me back is Motion sickness and my mother. I am kind of worried about motion sickness and i am wondering if there is any way to figure out if i get easily motion sick before getting into vr?
