A list of puns related to "Modal Operator"
Seen the film a couple of times now, definitely a fan. One new thing I noticed but havenโt seen discussed much is how the operator now has the ability to project himself inside of the modal at the beginning and the matrix as a whole. I donโt remember the exact words but inside of Neoโs modal, Bugs mentions the signal being patchy and asks Sequoia to switch to audio only which almost insinuates that she is able to see him there too and that this isnโt just something for the audience. I wonder if this was always something that was available throughout the story of the trilogy or something they developed within the 60 years. A nice touch if anything.
For my modal operator, I need the current location, rotation and scale of an object. To have it display values and to see how values change when the object is moved, I need the current transform of the object while being grabbed.
Problem is, while I have an object grabbed (G) and move it around, I can see the values change in the UI, however, when I access e.g. the location from script, it stays the same until I place it and grab it again. Translating it with the sliders yield the same result.
I tried updating the view layer beforehand, but that did not change anything either. I had a look at the delta transform, but this isn't the right thing.
So, where are those values stored and how can I access them? They have to be somewhere, else, one wouldn't see them change in the UI and the object wouldn't move in the view.
I am using Blender 2.82a on Ubuntu 18.04.
I'd like to put forth some speculation on how to make statements about properties of a system at a given time, typically forbidden by the uncertainty principle. More specifically, this paper (arXiv) states
"[This quantum ontology] employs a special (single framework) syntactical rule to construct meaningful quantum expressions"
I will argue that meaningful expressions can reference more than one framework if frameworks are associated with modal operators. Hence, we can recover statements about unobserved systems traditionally thought to be excluded by the uncertainty principle.
i) Quantum measurement
The mainstream formalism of quantum mechanics (QM) reports what we can expect to see when we observe some feature of a system. More specifically, if we know the quantum state of a system, |ฯ>, we can write that state in terms of possible (but mutually exclusive) outcomes of observing the system, and derive the likelihood of each outcome occurring. E.g. We either observe Schrodinger's cat to be dead or alive when we open the box, so we can write down the quantum state
|ฯ> = a|alive> + b|dead>
where |a|^2 and |b|^2 will give us the probability of finding the cat alive or dead respectively.
Only one of these outcomes will be observed, but the formalism is ambiguous about the status of the cat prior to observation.
ii) Uncertainty Principle
In QM, unlike in classical mechanics, there is an uncertainty principle that applies to some pairs of properties. A measurement of one observable will change the quantum state such that the status of a 2nd observable becomes uncertain. This is not due to an engineering limitation of observers, but rather is a fundamental feature of the formalism of QM. An example of such properties is the spin of an electron in the x and z directions. QM does not permit us to make statements like "The electron has spin-up in the x-direction and spin-down in the z direction".
ii) Histories
By considering a quantum state at different times and stitching them together, we can reformulate QM to report possible histories of a property of a system, rather than outcomes of observing the system (First carried out by Feynmann, Gell-Mann, Hartle, Omnes et al). E.g. In the case of Schrodinger's cat, we can replace the alternative measurement outcomes |alive> and |dead> with alternative histories:

This is an interesting claim but I don't know enough logic to verify it (see if you can understand that paper this article links to). So does this mean it is possible to do things like compute 1/3 of the algorithm for addition?
It seems that my previous submission got deleted, so I'll try again!
Something's pestering me, maybe you can help:
Consider a simple first-order expression prefixed by a modal operator, for example: โกโx(Fx) (Just in case I screwed up the formatting: Necessarily, there is at least one x such that Fx.)
Consider that the predicate F lacks a truth-value, for instance because it is a purely fictional term that doesn't fall into the scope of an appropriate fictional operator.
Since the necessity operator is an intensional operator: does the whole expression have a truth-value? I'm inclined to say yes but would appreciate any input or recommendations for further reading!
If not, what is operator depth?
It happend a lot of times, I buy a new operator and I realize that I don't like it so much
I saw The Matrix Resurrections in IMAX when it came out and found myself baffled by a lot of creative decisions made by Lana and her team. The whole movie has a slapdash quality to it and a lot of the fault lies with its sloppy, low-stakes script. Yesterday, I watched the movie again with a friend on HBO Max and decided to keep a running list of questions I still had on this second viewingโฆ.
I'm using a bootstrap modal to house an input operation (taking a picture from device camera and processing it). I'd like to have the modal close automatically upon completion of the processing but can't seem to get it to close with the standard suggestion of using jQuery $('#myModal').modal('hide'). Any ideas on how I can do this without having to click a button? Is it because the modal('hide') is sitting in code block?
Here's what the js code looks like:
var _scannerIsRunning = false;
function startOperation() {
Op.onDetected(function(result) {
var i = result.codeResult.code;
Op.stop();
_IsRunning = false; // flag to set program ready
function returnArray() {
fetch(url + i)
.then(resp => resp.json())
.then(response => console.log('Success: ',JSON.stringify(response)))
.catch(error => console.error('Error: ', error));
$('#opModal').modal('hide'); // not working
}
})
}
And here is the html of my modal set up:

The Matrix Resurrections De_meta_eD by Buster Friendly
a fan edit in progressโฆ (last step, colour correction)
Greetings friendly friends, I am fan editing Resurrections so itโs a real Matrix movie. Too many changes to mention all of them but now the Matrix will be green, and all the meta comedy has been exiled. Various scenes have been trimmed to end on more powerful moments. A new ending and new mid credits scene show the nature of the Matrix to be much different now.
The new run time of De_meta_eD is right at 2 hours, removing nearly half an hour of rubbish. And once released make sure to wait for the new mid-credits scene. It does away with the convoluted explanation of why and how Neo and Trinity were resurrected.
All thatโs left now is the colour correction, which is currently being done clip by clip with professional tools, effects, masking, skin tone mapping, and motion tracking techniques. What I will NOT do is slap a green filter over the entire movie and call it a day, which would give faces and hair a heavy handed green tint. This part will take a while but Iโll post some samples soon.
Spoiler warning for the info below.
It was clear the director, Lana Warchowski, hated making this movie. The meta commentary about the Matrix movies or games or whatever is now gone.
So Thomasโ game is not called the Matrix anymore. There is not a trilogy of Matrix games. WB is not mentioned, and the Matrix movie is not projected onto a theatre screen and called a game. I left some hints the director put in about how she didnโt want to continue the story but I didnโt allow it to become a full blown mockumentary.
The whole modal plot has been cleaned up without all the fangirling from Bugs and without Morpheus laughing and being weird.
Speaking of Morpheus acting weird, quirky is not the new interesting! In a few scenes some of Bugโs dialogue to Morpheus and Neo is cut back

Dear NJIT Community Members,
As communicated prior to the winter break, NJIT has continued to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic conditions locally, regionally, and globally. The surge in COVID-19 cases, recent guidance from the CDC and the American College Health Association, and our steadfast commitment to the health of our campus community have required we consider some adjustments to our near-term planning. While the NJIT campus remains open, we announce the following mitigation measures to limit the spread of COVID-19 on our campus:
Spring semester classes, studios, and labs will be transitioned from in-person to synchronous online format from January 18 through January 30. Laboratory and other experiential learning sessions that cannot be held in a synchronous online format will be made up later in the semester. Students will receive follow-up instructions from their instructors regarding course modality. In-person classes, studios, and labs will begin on Monday, January 31, 2022.
University administrative staff will continue to use remote work, to the extent possible, with a requirement of minimum, in-person coverage in each academic, student support, and operational office during the core business hours on Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Vice Presidents will have the discretion to determine if remote work is appropriate and are encouraged to minimize staff density on campus, with appropriate coverage, through January 30, 2022. Essential personnel are required to report in person for their regular shifts.
Residence halls remain open and available for all residential students. Additional information will be provided through the Office of Residence Life.
Research laboratories will remain open with reduced capacity and the appropriate personal protective equipment.
All in-person events scheduled through January 30, 2022, should be moved to a virtual format, unless in-person attendance can accommodate strict social distancing. If this is not possible, the events should be postponed to a later date or canceled. Masks are required at all times, unless actively eating or drinking.
All athletic events shall either be held without spectators in attendance or with limited attendance to allow strict social distancing of discrete parties to occur in larger venues through January 30, 2022. Masks remain required for all non-participants, in compliance with America East conference, NCAA, and NJIT guidelines. Proof
Alpine 4 Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: ALPP), a leading operator and owner of small market businesses, announced today that it has acquired RCA Commercial Electronics (RCA) of Indianapolis, Indiana, and its operating entity DTI Services.
RCA Commercial Electronics is the continuance of the US-based legacy conglomerate RCA Corporation which dominated the electronics industry in the 20th century.ย DTI Services acquired the rights to the RCA brand in 2006 to design and build products for the Hospital, Lodging, Education, and Institutional markets.ย In 2018, DTI Services acquired the entire lighting division of LG including all IP for smart lighting products, also now sold under the RCA banner.
The RCA Corporation, an American electronics company, was founded as the Radio Corporation of America in 1919 and headquartered in Indiana. It was initially a patent trust owned by General Electric (GE), Westinghouse, AT&T Corporation, and United Fruit Company. As a company whose beginnings derived from patents, it quickly became the gold standard of innovation around the world. ย As the dominant electronics and communications firm in the United States for over five decades, RCA was at the forefront of the rapidly growing radio industry in the early 1920s as a major manufacturer of radio receivers and the exclusive manufacturer of the first superheterodyne sets. Additionally, RCA created the first nationwide American radio network, the National Broadcasting Company (NBC). The company was also a pioneer in the introduction and development of television, both black and white and especially color. RCA became the leader in consumer satellite technology and is the legacy system that is now known as DirectTV.
In the 1970s, RCA diversified into a multinational conglomerate, and in December 1985, it was announced that GE would reacquire its former subsidiary for $6.28 billion in cash, or $66.50 per share of stock.ย The sale was completed the next year, and despite

From the start of this COVID-19 pandemic, our community โ students, faculty, and staff โ have faced adversity and personal disruption. Yet, you all have responded with unparalleled resolve and resilience. You have diligently followed our rules and guidelines, which has kept our community safe. As Omicron variant cases are rising around us, we are preparing for a new chapter. We remain committed to ensuring a safe and healthy environment for Spring Semester.
We are living in a dynamic and fluid situation. We understand there will be challenges in the coming weeks. We know there will be inevitable increases in the numbers of COVID-19 cases on campus. Yet perhaps most important, we have tools today we did not have a year ago. We are deploying our contingency plans and will continue to adjust our policies and practices as new information becomes available and circumstances dictate.
Let me reiterate some of the highlights outlined in Wednesdayโs announcement.
ยท We remain committed to an in-person start of the Spring Semester on Monday, Jan. 10th.
ยท We highly recommend getting a COVID-19 test before returning to campus.
ยท We now are requiring a booster vaccine.
ยท We will continue the indoor face mask mandate and strongly encourage the doubling up of surgical and cloth masks and the use of KN95 masks. We have a plentiful supply of surgical masks on hand and are procuring KN95s.

Round 2 of the lottery is now live : https://lottery.lumenswap.io/
Greetings from Lumenswap community!
We are excited to introduce the first fully transparent, decentralized lottery model built on Stellar.
Every day, we are inspired by the opportunities that the cryptocurrency ecosystem creates for people all around the world to participate in. We are also inspired by the amazing potential that Stellar has to revolutionize global economies. As a result, we wanted to apply this revolution to the lottery industry.
Unlike traditional lotteries, we want to give you a fair, democratic chance of winning by establishing a transparent and decentralized lottery model.
Introduction
At a glance, our model operates just like more traditional lotteries. Our lottery will function within a set timeframe, with a ticket required for participation, and the prize paid to the winner.
Unlike traditional lotteries, the prize will be pegged to the equivalent value in XLM, the โticketโ will be digital and the winner is chosen through a decentralized mechanism, not by a fat man sitting behind his desk petting his cat!
But hereโs the key difference:
Everything will happen on a distributed network with immutable records. This bit is really important. By leveraging the transparency of blockchain technology, we are creating a fair, open, global, and accessible lottery platform.
We are thrilled to announce that the second round of the lottery is now live. To know more about the Lumenswap lottery and why it is a part of the Web 3.0 revolution, you can refer to the Lottery Introduction article.

STAG industrial is a Real Estate Investment Trust focused on the rental of single tenant warehouses and offices. STAG primarily focuses on the development of warehouses. STAG owns all of their assets under management. Holding over 517 properties spread across the United States with 103.4 million in warehouses and offices.
Bill Crooker, President and CFO, said on the Q3-21 earnings call:
โThe broad-based demand for our assets is robust and has resulted in numerous instances of available space being backfilled immediately with minimal to no downtime โWhen adjusted for immediate backfills, retention was 77.7% for the third quarter and 89.8% for the year. Cash same-store NOI [net operating income] grew 2.9% for the quarter and 3.4% year-to-date. This metric continues to be a high watermark for STAG, driven by strong rental escalators, cash leasing spreads, and lower average downtime per vacancy.โ
Rent escalators are now more important than ever with inflation kicking into high gear with CPI numbers rising. STAG is well prepared to adjust to the risk of inflation and the pandemic is not a threat with the near 90% retention rate and low down time when they are looking for new tenants.
STAG is well diversified geographically with their top 10 cities comprising 46% of their portfolio. More importantly STAG is diversified well across different companies and different sectors. Big names such as Amazon (3.8%) FedEx (1%) Ford (.7%) Costco (.7%) within their top ten, Amazon being their biggest renter.
The demand for industrial real estate has only grown as our economy demands for more online shopping and large facilities required to hold/produce large amounts of products. The industrial market is estimated to grow exponentially, upwards of 10x as large businesses focus on online shopping and warehouses to hold large quantities of goods.
Concerns with STAGs recent acquisitions are currently heavily leveraged in debt. I would anticipate them to slow down and pay off their debt before focusing on growth again. Their current debt is sitting at 2.03 billion which has their total debt to equity at 67% and their debt to free cash flow at 15.27. Their current cash is 44.06 million so I would anticipate building up their cash while paying down their debt which would leave little

This is the third thread in a series evaluating popular arguments for the existence of God. The first thread was on the argument from fine-tuning, the second was on the Kalam cosmological argument (by u/Philosophy_Cosmology). This thread will consider the ontological and modal ontological argument, and show that they cannot be said to successfully establish the existence of God.
The ontological argument
The ontological argument attempts to reason from God's definition or essence as a maximally great/perfect being or being possessing every perfection, to God's existence. The argument is typically credited to St. Anselm, but since Anselm offers it in the context of a prayer (in his Proslogion) rather than a rigorous argument, its usually better to focus on later formulations, such as the ones by Descartes or Kant, or later apologists (which are also more stream-lined and easy to follow than Anselm's formulation).
So, the argument can be stated fairly simply:
Conclusion: Therefore, God exists.
Now, in first-order predicate logic (FOPL), from these two premises we can derive the following proposition:
i.) (โx)(x is God-> x exists)
(i.e. for any x, if x is God then x exists)
The problem is that this does not say that God exists, that there is any such x. It only says that, if there is an x such that x=God, then x exists. From 1. and 2. we cannot derive the proposition:
ii.) (โx)(x is God & x exists)
(i.e. there is an x such that x is God and x exists)
Neither premise satisfies the rule for existential introduction in FOPL, so this existential statement does not follow from 1. and 2.. But this is the proposition the ontological argument seeks to prove, i.e. that God does in fact exist. In order to logically derive ii.) we would need to introduce an additional premise to the effect that there is such an x, or that there is individual who is = God. But this would be equivalent to the conclusion, and plainly question-begging: we cannot assume that there is an x such that x is God, if we seek to prove that there is an x such that x is God.
So now the problem is clear: the desired conclusion is ii.), that God does in fact exist. But this does not

With a limited business modal , I wish to find a perfect solution that won't break the bank.It is not a power-crazing program and it's just for personal use so a little of computing power is good to go.
My budget is around $10 - $20 per month.
Appreciate your suggestion.Cheers.
All those repressed emotions in your subconscious? They are still there whether you pay attention or not. Empathy means I feel them still, even if you are numbed to them.
It is the way that Reiki, Qigong, Chi Nei Tsang, Craniosacral, and other energy-work modalities operate. The practitioner has a developed enough empathy to sense the location of the discomfort after the mind has built walls upon it.
I have a steady baseline and know my inner being intimately. I have spent more time massaging my tailbone than you have thought about what the spine really is. I can tell you every single pain in my body in intimate detail as to how it is affecting my rational thought, and then tell you how my rational thought was twisted by the emotions I had present.
If you come at me with love, I feel it. If you come at me open about your confusion, I can return sense to many things. If you come at me with anger and rejection...I can't work with that, and anything I say will be tainted by that regardless of what I put in.
I respect every word that is said and consider its origin. Can you say the same?
