A list of puns related to "Mink Coat"
Hi, I hope this is the right place to post this, first time here.
When my grandma past away, we inherited a 100% mink long coat (midi lenght) that was bought in the 50βs for a lot of money. Itβs in mint condition.
However, itβs not very 2021 to wear a full fur coat. I would never buy that, but here it is and I donβt know what to do with it.
If I keep it as is, it will be worn like once in a blue moon (if that) and Iβm afraid to be judge for wearing it (ethically speaking). Even if I live in a cold climate (eastern Canada).
I thought of cutting into pieces and make mittens, eat muffs and such with it, but feel awful to cut it.
What would you do? Do you have other ideas?
I feel bad getting rid of it, bad to wear it, bad to keep it in a chest and bad to cut it.
It's pretty similar to this one ends at about knee height, and I just can't work out how to wear it, or even when to wear it!
I obviously don't support the fur industry, and even though I've not supported it by buying it (the coat must be nearly 100 years old) but it seems such a shame to not use it. I wouldn't feel right donating it or selling it either.
Has anyone else had a similar experience or advice to share?
Alright friends, I have been on the hunt for a new coat that 1. made me feel special and 2. could fit my fat sister body. I searched high and low for one that met those qualifications, and came soclose with this coat. I was beyond excited when I first purchased this coat, but then felt like I was in Tommy Boy as soon as I tried it on - sad fit pic lol
For your reference, Iβm a little over 5β9 and fluctuate between size 12-14 US. I paid a lot of attention to the measurements of the chest and shouldersβ¦ but none to the length of the sleeves π. The sleeves are what really make this coat not work for me personally. The only solution Iβve come up with is to add fur trim at the ends of the sleeves, but I think that would be pretty difficult to execute well.

October 18 - Kiki mails the package without any PSPs. I think this is standard for her.
November 3 - I receive the coat
##Photos
My Photos - please ignore the wrinkles
PSPs - N/A, Kiki doesnβt seem to send PSPs
Authentic - N/A, as hard as I tried to find an authentic version of this coat, I couldnβt locate one. Given the lengths that the factory went to to prove the measurements were true to some version of an authentic (there were images of the deconstructed auth pieces in the sellersβ albumsβ¦ which of course I am unable to find now), I have to assume there is something out on the market that they are copyingβ¦ but until I can find it, I guess this is a fantasy piece.
##Quality 10/10
The materials used to make this coat are exquisite - the mink and baby cashmere are so soft and feel so luxurious. I live in a climate that doesnβt really get much colder than 20F, so I donβt need anything too warm, and this suited my needs. The chevron pattern of the mink is beautiful, well executed, and unique. The design is very eye catching and would definitely turn heads when you enter a room.
##Accuracy 0/10

... keep reading on reddit β‘I just realized that Don totally knows about Roger and Joan. The second he saw her wear that mink coat in the office, he knew. (Unless she wouldnβt wear it in the office, which is very un-Joan). Like I bet within a month of working at Sterling Coo, Don was like, βhey I know that coat.β
Okay edit** all Iβm saying is Don would have seen Joan in this coat at least once
This crossed my mind today so thought Iβd ask the question here.
My mom, who now resides in a care home, owns a beautiful, rarely worn, full length mink coat in excellent condition.
She wonβt be needing it and it seems a shame to just have it sitting in storage. Is there a market for mink coats in Winnipeg? Is there some way I can determine what itβs worth? I have no idea what to do with this thing.
TIA
I specifically remember this one super tall guy with long hair and a beard that looked particularly badass.
Just wondering if anyone else remembers this.
