A list of puns related to "Military Tactics"
Idk if itβs worth learning military tactics for a video game lol. But Iβm really wondering how do people have like 10 kills and 3 death.
Unless itβs all hacks at the end of the day.
In one game I was told that this person played like over 2000 hours and thatβs why heβs good.
Similar to how Legend of the Galactic Heroes has a broad scope and shows the details with tactics of large battles and the strategy involved in the overall war. You meet the commanders and their lieutenants, they maneuver their forces in the battle, key locations are fought over, the generals deal with domestic politics etc.
I don't really mind what the setting is (ancient/modern/future) and fantasy or sci-fi elements are fine too.
Completed series or series with a big backlog of chapters/episodes are preferred.
As the title implies, I have some lore questions regarding the choices made by the FO during Episode VIII.
Why didn't the mandator IV fire on the flotilla first, rather than the base?
Why didn't they immediately kill Poe if they wanted unconditional surrender/utter annihilation of the Resistance?
Why, after successfully tracking the Resistance, didn't the huge FO fleet immediately launch all TIE Fighters at the fleet? The movie showed that Kylo and his measly escort could take out the enemy hangers and destroy the bridge. And they are the bad guys who literally kidnapped children to indoctrinate them, since when do they care about whether or not they could cover their ships? Shouldn't the destruction of the Resistance come first?
Why didn't the remains of the FO fleet perform Base Delta Zero/orbital bombardment on Crait rather than perform a walker approach and bring out Space Grond?
I'm just asking questions. I want to understand the logic. Not trying to start an argument.
Thoughts and comments would be most appreciated.
so we all know that 40k books (and sci fi works in general) don't exactly have military genius level tactics on show, to say the least. The people writing the books are writers first and foremost, with I assume no combat experience whatsoever outside of fighting Games Workshop over what they can and can't include in their book. But are there any books that actually do a good job at showcasing proper military tactics, where battles make sense and it isn't just two lines of astartes running at each other?
I'm still in DEP at the moment but I'm getting some notes together.
I already plan to enroll in the ROTH TSP plan with C/S/I 60/20/20% as well as pursue C School after A School.
I would like to know if there is anything else I can do to further my success in the Navy.
Iβve seen an uptick in discussion of who would win in a fight between the Romans or Greeks, but I will definitely apply this to the Norse as well (it isnβt really that important for the Egyptians). Now, as for what I was saying, Iβd first of all like to complain about Rickβs military writing. Now, I donβt hold it against him really, heβs writing about mythology and was an English teacher if I remember correctly. So, ya know, itβs all fine in that regard. However, with that being said, itβs still really bad.
First are some more minor complaints: Rome used a lot of cavalry, had a massive Navy, loved ranged units, and also knew how to fight a slash style of sword fighting because of course they did. Taking a hill isnβt a Civil War thing TJ itβs a war thing, and the Greeks should definitely fight in the Macedonian phalanx style (strong pike formation, large ranged component, and large cavalry wing) itβs super effective.
But I think the largest complaint I have is the fact that even the Romans and Athena cabin seem to neglect military strategy. You need a real chain of command, strong tactical ideas, formations are preferable, etcβ¦thereβs a reason why we have these things in real life you need to know what youβre doing and what to do when shit hits the fan. Now you may ask: Donβt the Romans have this? To which I say, not really no. When they REACH a fight they seem to break apart and fight more 1 on 1, and even if they donβt do that theyβre really fond of not actually working closely between cohorts, which is how you win fights.
Basically, itβs all wrong like all the time and itβs a little annoying

September 23rd, 1947 a memo (Page 1 / Page 2) was sent from Lt. Gen. Nathan F. Twining to Gen. George F. Schulgen. Here are some relevant quotes from this memo:
>a. The phenomenon reported is real and not visionary or fictitious.
>
>b. There are objects probably approximating the shape of a disc, of such appreciable size as to appear to be as large as man-made aircraft.
>
>c. There is possibility that some of the incidents are caused by natural phenomena.
>
>d. The reported operating characteristics such as extreme rates of climb, maneuverability (particularly in roll), and action which must be considered evasive when sighted or contacted by friendly air-craft and radar, lend belief to the possibility that some of the objects are controlled either manually, automatically or remotely.

January 7th, 1948 Fort Knox, Kentucky, USA. At around 02:00 PM on this day, Kentucky State Police contacted the Fort Knox Military Police. They described observing an UFO flying over the skies heading westward. The UFO was described as being circular in appearance, between 200 to 300 feet in diameter (Roughly the size of a football field). The military in Fort Knox contacted the nearby Godman Army Airfield. They proceeded to dispatch a small squadron, lead by Captain Thomas F. Mantell who was piloting a [F-51 Mustang](https://www.warbirds-eaa.org/wp-content/uplo

And yeah, I dont speak english.
I just finished watching a movie where a Kaiju attacks around 1,000 soldiers, and they respond by simply firing LMGs at it ... to no effect.
I assume a real military would respond with a slightly better plan, and I'm curious if anyone in an actual military organization has discussed what tactics they would use to combat a godzilla-like creature. Are there any standard plans in place for such an event?
I've been thinking for a while that remnant would actually be screwed if you think about grimm properly. There's no way traditional trench warfare or all out war would work with the grimm around, even so it would be a gigantic risk. I'd love to see what the great war looked like, because if you have two armies fighting what's stopping Salem from just seeing that chuckling to herself and sending a horde at both armies.
(This is all really nitpicky and me just experimenting and taking on the world from a different view, in no way is this a criticism of the writing, these things are insanely menial and don't fit in the show, apart from the Paladins, like what the hell) More Questions/Suggestions:
1.Where the hell did Atlesian Paladins go, I get James is paranoid but surely they would be way more effective than huntsman or huntresses could ever be. EDIT: THEY WERE IN VOLUME 8 AND IM BEING AN IDIOT, still I think they could be utilised to a further degree, titanfall their ass.
3.Why are there literally no fighters/jet like aircraft in RWBY, even modern jets would shred through flying and ground based targets, all we've really seen in use are more like troop transports and cargo ships, they are armed but they're not ideal.
How I would headcanon a solution to these: (Again none of this fits inside the shows themes, just a fun little brain exercise)
-Huntsman and Huntresses would only be employed in cases where grimm are within populated areas/in low numbers.
-Orbital Defense Stations: look I might sound insane, bit take something like amity, man it, give it imaging, give it missiles, give it guns. This station(or stations) looks down upon remnant and pretty much sends dust infused missiles towards large hordes before they can get near anyone. If flying grimm come they'll be a lot of warning time, in which mounted guns or defense systems can dispatch of them. I'm not saying Atlas has these resources but hey, if they did...
-Atlesian Paladins used and produced en masse, would be way better for taking out hordes and groups could probably mess up a kaiju or two.
-Atlas introduce mandatory military service: something I can see actually happening in the show and pretty logical, people serve for a few years and in that time hopefully unlock aura and maybe there semblance, boosts

They could believe that vaccines cause autism and thus weaponize a virus
they could think we never landed on the moon and so donβt believe we have rockets that can reach space
Or they could go the other route and surrender after seeing so many people claim to have a genius level iq (despite them being like 12 in reality )
Hell they could even read some HFY and just go βNaw fuck that shitβ And leave
Thank you for any help.
