From what I understand Rome and Carthage had been allies against Pyrrus, so why exactly did they suddenly become enemies when messana asked them both for help against Syracuse ?

What I am interested to know, but could not find:
How many Mamertines were there and how many citizens had Messena?
How where the Mamertines equipped (Weaponry, Armory)?
How much of a fight could the Messenians put up? How fast was it over?
How did the surrounding cities react?
Why did no one intervene? (probably naive question but I dont know much about political relations the Messenians might had. They have been Greek colonists. has that maybe made them to outcasts between the other Sicilians?)
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
We know males tend to be stronger in the One Power (hence only males can achieve the ++ scale) but females have the advantage of being able to use more complex weaves etc. I thought it would be nice to give a quick run down.
Side note - I believe we're unsure of Taim's official power level, its either ++2 or ++3

I'm not going to go any further but I hope this demonstrates the power levels of the people in the series. However we know Rafe and how badly he has portrayed these characters. Look how much stronger Rand is compared to Nynaeve or Egwene for example, yet if I had just watched the show alone I would think Nynaeve far surpasses Rand in power, similar with Egwene. They actually do things, Rand only does one thing and that's using some random statue and its all about Egwene anyway, "That's not the woman I love."
I wonder how the power levels are gonna be done with the forsaken and the rest of the show?
I have been accused more times than I can count of wanting a 1:1, shot for shot, remake of the books. I do not. It would be to long, not make much sense, and I really have no wish to watch a close up of Perrin pondering things for five minutes without being in his head.
So I have decided to list a few changes that I think will benefit the show and keeps the world of my favorite series intact.

LTT changing from a disembodied voice in Rand's head to a visual and auditory apparition that only he can see. In the switch from a written media to a visual one I think it will be necessary to show a visual decent into madness. Moving from a few mutters and maybe seeing a shadow or a face to full on eye to eye conversations as the show progresses. This is I think the most obvious change as it positively impacts the ability to show the relationship between LTT and Rand and I cannot see any negative effects caused by it. It certainly does not affect the plot and requires very little to be rewritten.

The Portal stone segment in The Great Hunt can be cut/rewritten to be much shorter. Largely this is an exploration of Rand being put into a leadership role, meeting Selene, and learning a bit more about the Portal Stones for later use. This could easily be changed to rand and the others being separated from the rest, maybe after an ambush by what they are chasing, maybe in one of the towns they come across. Have him take the same leadership role, meet Selene in the woods, her convince Rand to try to take the horn by himself, she leaves in the night after he won't turn from his duty (no need for the Inn) and the story continues as normal. Much simper, shorter, and I doubt Portal Stones will be in the show anyways.

Rafe has said he wants more equality between male antagonists, who tend to die, and female antagonists who don't. Think Galina, Moghedien, Messana all not dying. I don't agree with this but if it must be done I would kill Elaida. Elaida caused the near destruction of the tower through her own actions and anger, so I think it's fitting she should cause her own death by her own actions and anger. Have her get captured by the Seanchan like in the books but have Elaida get angry that they would dare capture her. Have her attack the Sul'dam physically when she discovers she cannot channel, knock the Sul'dam off the Rakan, and get dragged down by the leash to her death.
