A list of puns related to "Meniscus"
It looked like Bud had finally figured out that the playoffs are superstar basketball and he can't sit Giannis (who has been an ironman for the past couple of seasons) as much as he does in the regular season. So far Giannis in his first 2 games has played 35 minutes (game 1) and 31 minutes (game 2) while Embiid has played 38 minutes (game 1) and 35 minutes (game 2). You can have the argument that the Nets were absolutely obliterating the Nets in both games so there was no point in keeping Giannis in but the Hawks were running the Sixers through the grinder before the 2nd half comeback.
Like honestly, dude is risking his health, and giving everything for this team, in the game 4 he was absolutely exhausted and he looked like he was gonna die out there. He's been giving 110% in every game
Meanwhile Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris dont want to step up. They play weak and seem afraid to try to score in 2nd halves. The 4th quarter last night was an embarassment, those 2 looked completely lost
Honestly if I was Embiid I dont know for how long I could put up with this bs. We need to shake things up before Embiid gives up on this team
We all know a healthy Embiid is a different beast, but now Iβm questioning if his health is worth a shot at a title where the sixers fall short due to his injury slowing things down.
Joel's postseason run, thus far, has been truly ridiculous -- especially his shooting splits. If the Nuggets and Sixers can somehow match up in the finals I think it will go down as one of the best center-duels of all time (Hakeem v Shaq, etc.)
Embiid tweeted "I had a torn meniscus" after tonight's loss. Imagine if Steph tweeted "I was injured" after losing in 2016 finals?
here's the full tweet: https://twitter.com/JoelEmbiid/status/1406821712054919173
It's fine that he did that. Obviously, he had a great series, but if any other player does that after a loss like that, they would be criticized to hell. If Steph tweeted "I was injured" after the 2016 finals, he wouldn't hear the end of it.
Hey guys,
I am a 26 yo male. Got surgery for a grade 3 ACL tear + bucket handle meniscus tear on my left knee on 06/21 (Mon). So it's been 5 days post surgery. The leg is propped open in the fully extended position.
Although the pain has been decreasing day by day, I am not able to lift or even move my leg without support. When someone else isn't helping me, I use yoga bands or the handles of my crutches to support and move my leg.
Not being able to lift and move my leg 5 days post op is kind of concerning me. Is this common?
P.S. I don't think I was given a nerve block, so that cant be it.
Tweet >Embiid on how his knee feels: "It's alright. I don't know, playing on a torn meniscus is I guess not easy...just got to keep managing it and hope for the best."
Hi guys,
I am 23 years old right now. And on 21st June 2021, I got into bike accident and flipped my knee at bad angles, after doing MRI, I got to know that there is complete tear of ACL along with Bucket handle tear to lateral meniscus and Y share tear to medial Meniscus.
My doctor suggested not to have immediate surgery and to wait for at least 3 weeks. Since my injury, I have read a lot about this ACL + Meniscus repair and reconstruction surgeries and their recovery timelines. But I feel depressed after reading that people going through such surgeries are more prone to have Arthritis in the future. I feel like now after the injury, i wont be able to get back to my initial level of activity. And sometimes I also feel like ending my life thinking that it isn't worth living with so many problems going forward, I know its wrong, and I wont do that stupid thing, but that thought comes to my mind more often.
I don't know how to deal with the situation. Any help or experiences would be truly appreciated.
My main worry is my Meniscus tear, I have read that Meniscectomy at this age is not a good option at all, and Meniscus repair my or may not be successful.

76ersβ Joel Embiid has a small meniscus tear in his right knee, team says. He is day-to-day.
Hey everyone, in this video I explained Joel Embiidβs knee injury (small lateral meniscus tear), the good news about what weβve heard so far (including if it can get worse), the bad news about playing with the injury, and how the Sixers physio and how the training staff will manage it on a day to day basis to evaluate Embiidβs status moving forward. Thanks to the mods for letting me post.

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this-- Was at a small get-together for the 4th, a nice inground pool to go swimming in, the beers were flowing, all was well. And then: I decided to jump into the pool. As soon as I pushed off with my left leg, I felt the pop. Needless to say I had to hobble around the rest of the night until I was sober enough to get to the ER the next morning. While it is not confirmed, the ER doc suspects a partial tear. Knee is swollen, left side of my knee hurts like a bitch, and having issues bending the knee. I am 25 years old-- how the hell did this happen? Regardless, they gave me a knee immobilizer, some naproxen and sent me on my way. Xray showed joint effusion, and tissue swelling. I leave a non-refundable vacation on Friday... Really, really hoping it gets a bit more tolerable by then. Just gotta get this swelling down.
Gotta call my PCP tomorrow and set up an appt before I leave. Probably going to need an MRI. ER doc told me to give it a week or two to see if it gets any better on its own.
EDIT: XRAY FINDINGS:
I have a friend who lives overseas who is spending the summer in SLC and needs to have surgery on her knee for an ACL reconstruction and to fix a torn meniscus while she is here. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good orthopedic surgeon? We have already contacted TOSH but they canβt fit her in quickly enough. Thank you!
