When should I prune Japanese meadowsweet?

Has anyone tried meadowsweet?
In an herbal medicine book I have, meadowsweet is recommended for strengthening the lining of the stomach and reducing acidity. It has anti-inflammatory/pain relieving properties as well. I'm intrigued...
The book also mentions the herbs arrowroot, iceland moss and galbanum which i haven't heard of before.

Meadowsweet Metheglin Recipes?
Hi guys! New here and new to mead making in general. I am looking into making my first 5 gallon batch, and I wanted to do something a little more complex than just a basic honey/water batch. I found a lot of lists of herbs traditionally used in metheglins which include meadowsweet. I have some dried meadowsweet on hand, and would like to include it. However, I don't have any good recipes (save one) which actually use the herb in their product. Has anyone used this herb before, and could speak to which other flavors pair well with it? Can anyone recommend how much dried meadowsweet to use in the batch?

Using Meadowsweet in gin? Experiences and recepies welcome!
I know some of my favorite gins like KyrΓΆ Napue and Botanist make use of meadowsweet, which is currently in season here. Therefore I'm interested in making use of it in my gin and while my intuition says that I should use a gin basket for it, I'd like to hear any experiences in using it or about recepies that include it? Also, if I decide I want to use it later on, should I dry it, or freeze it?

Questions about Meadowsweet and Yarrow
Hi all, just found this sub and at the perfect time. My husband and I are going to brew mead soon (he's brewed it in the past, I'm a complete noob), and he asked me about these two herbs and their magickal properties, because historically he says mead was brewed with one or the other to offset the sweetness.
I haven't practiced any crafts in years, and it seems I've misplaced my book on herbs. I've found some information just googling, but I'm wondering if anyone here can help me find deeper meanings and history of them?

Spotted this beauty yesterday. Thought it was meadowsweet from a distance. Flowers have same golden white colour. The leaves are very serrated almost thistle like but not prickly.
