It is genuinely baffling to me that Lyn has 7 versions in this game, and not only does only one of them use swords, but that version of her doesn't even wield the weapon that's actually important to her. Instead, our only sword Lyn uses the stupid Sol Katti, a weapon that Athos literally pulls out of his ass at the start of the final chapter just for the sake of equality with Eliwood and Hector. I mean, it's not like Lyn can promote into having a second weapon type that already has a legendary weapon associated with it and is related to the Durandal and Armads, right?

In all seriousness, it just kind of annoys me when existent Regalia/prfs are completely ignored for either made up shit (wtf is a "Fair-Fury Axe" and why is it not Aurgelmir) or just no prf at all (Pelleas not having Balberith when he's one of the only two units who can use it and doesn't already have a prf like the other guy). I could make an entire essay of examples if I really wanted to.
So, I just finished Rhythm of War yesterday, I think, but I just want to get back around to what was mentioned in the beginning.
First off, when I read Oathbringer, I almost immediately wanted Kaladin to find his way into a relationship with Lyn when I learned she wanted to join Bridge Four, partly because I wanted him to get his attention off of Shallan. Yeah, I did initially kinda wish Shallan and Kaladin would get together in the fourth book until I saw how her relationship with Adolin was working out, and then I just wanted Kaladin got his eyes off her.
So, considering that I was already wanting this relationship with Lyn to start while I was reading Oathbringer, just imagine how disappointed I was when one of the first things I read about Kaladin in Rhythm of war was that he and Lyn had broken up. Like, why? Sure, I know kinda why they broke up, the nightmares and all, but why did Sanderson have to give me exactly what I want and then take it away completely before I even know I got it?
Was anyone else surprised we did not see the vulcan "radical" T'lyn end up on the cerritos after she was transferred to starfleet from her ship. that's what it seemed like it was building to, to me at least, and was surprised we didnt see that by the end of S2. did anyone else think the same or expect/hope this will happen in S3?
EDIT-so apparently it is confirmed she will be in S3 but is said they aren't rushing to put on the cerritos just yet, so what's ur opinion on it from that stance?
Keen to talk about climate action, accountability (or lack of it), gender equality, housing affordability and some current issues like whistleblowers Collaery and Assange and our locked-away-for-years asylum seekers? 15sui asked me to practise with him like crazy in the past two days, but I refused. I think to play tournaments, if you need to practise against hum, you got some problems with your brain.
