Whenever I see some kind of thematic set, whether it be elements, zodiacs, or in this case bodily systems, my completionist instincts naturally go into overdrive, even if it's just brainstorming magic or superpowers for no reason in particular. To be more specific, I'm slowly piecing together the concept for a tribe that mastered the art of enchanting parts of their body in the same way most magic societies would inanimate objects, and even the surgical techniques to allow entire bodily systems to be swapped out like computer parts.
It's always simple enough to come up with abilities involving most of the body systems. The skeletal, nervous, and cardiovascular systems are very symbolically potent, while the muscular, respiratory, reproductive, and digestive/urinary systems all have practical roles that can easily be adapted to interesting powers or effects.
The odd ducks out are the endocrine and lymphatic systems. They're just those two weird systems that everyone knows are important, but aren't really as eye-catching or intuitive as the others. Keeping their mechanics, purpose, and whatever symbolic significance they may have in mind, does anyone have any ideas for magical abilities based on the endocrine or lymphatic systems?
Iβve had a swollen lymph node for around 3-4 months now, and doctors Iβve been to thus far have been ignoring the issue and waving it away as a swollen salivary gland, despite it being bilateral and in different parts of the neck. Iβve tested negative for ongoing infections so itβs not that.
Can anyone recommend a good doctor? Thank you :)

Female 28, 130lbs, 5β 10, cannabis user.
I have a severely congested lymphatic system as a result of a severe CMV infection almost 5 years ago that inflamed and congested my entire lymphatic system. They told me last year I have Chronic fatigue syndrome but refuse to treat me for my only symptom because it doesnβt tick any boxes in the medical field. So Iβm left to self medicate. My GP literally told me to figure it out myself.
Anyways, is there a term for a congested lymphatic system? Itβs not lymphedema they already turned me away. All doctors I have seen (almost 10 and two specialists) have zero answers and zero interest in helping me.
Dr. Perrin in the UK has significant research on the topic but I canβt get anyone to even read his work to understand my situation. He says chronic fatigue is caused by stagnation in the lymphatic system, but doctors donβt seem to want to make the connection. Is there a term for a congested lymphatic system or is it chronic fatigue syndrome? I need to know what to tell doctors so that they will listen to me and help me, this non-fatal condition is killing me.
Hi everyone. I am in great need of help and this might be a far fetch or even cry for such help. I am doing research for a school project and I choose to do my project on the hippopotamus. I need to do a section on the lymphatic system and I am having a heck of a time trying to find any relevant information on the hippopotamus lymphatic system on Google. Any links to any known sites or any information, anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you ahead of time and I am extremely grateful for the help anyone can give me.
Just had an awful lecture on lymph node anatomy, but I really want to learn the most clinically important information about lymph nodes.
For example, regions of drainage etc (so when I see an enlarged lymph node I can think about what areas may be responsible).
Whatβs a good resource that summarises the most salient clinical points?
(n.b. I am in Australia so I donβt really care about what is high yield for exams, I just want to know what is high yield clinically)
The Lymphatic Code, by Leslyn Keith, OTD, explains the lymphatic system, its functions, and why it is so important in health and disease. Dr. Keith shows that a ketogenic diet is imperative for success in treating lymphatic disorders and also for keeping your lymphatic system healthy. Check out the table of contents, chapter 1 and list of over 400 references here:

Has anyone ever noticed pain or swelling in their lymphs? Do you think this plays a role in your endometriosis?
Hi friends, are there any good resources for learning lymphatic flow--particularly in the lungs.
From what I've seen in terms of clinical relevance is chylothorax, lymphatic flow in the upper vs. lower lung fields, and lymphatic obstruction-related questions. I have the associations down, but don't actually understand the underlying pathomechanisms.
My school unfort skimped out on the lymphatics as a whole which is unfortunate.
TIA!
If you can please also recommend other textbooks that are arranged by systems, for example; Cardiovascular, respiration, lymphatic, muscular. Thanks in advance <3
Of course everyone should do their own research, however, I found this tea product to help w/ inflammation & the lymphatic system. I would think this would help w/ HS. What does everyone think? Have you done any research &/or asked your doctors about any of the ingredients of these herbs? Below os the product link & description. The ingredients are: Cleavers, Red Clover, Yarrow, Stinging Nettle, Gordolobo.

"The lymphatic system is the largest circulatory system in the body and is aΒ network of tissues that surrounds nearly every organ system. It serves to cellularly clean our body of waste, debris, and toxins. Keeping the lymph system or βthe drainsβ of the body clean is critical to optimal health and longevity.
This alkaline blend is created toΒ remove calcification from the soft tissue throughout the body for theΒ absorptionΒ of nutrients and phytonutrients into the tissue and cells.
It will also boost and detoxify the lymphatic system on an intracellular level byΒ draining the lymph nodes and regulating fluid while supporting and stimulating many of the eliminatory organs in the body, including the skin, liver, gall bladder, lymph glands, kidneys, and colon.
Now that's what you call an Upful happening!
This 5 herb blend of intracellular high energy detoxing herbs are best taken for a 2-3 month minimum period any time of the year to thoroughly detox."
(I've already been taking the herb supplement Cleavers Herb that an herbalist told me to take & it seems to have helped close up this real stubborn spot (not a hole, but an area where the outer layer of skin was open) that I had in my underarm after just 1.5 months.)
Hi everyone! Iβm a 20 year old female in pretty good health. Yesterday morning I had the weirdest thing happen to me. I work up and when I blew air in my mouth (in my cheeks like a chipmunk) I felt air fill up in the lower corners of my jaw, by my earlobes. Then when it went away the area felt almost tender. For the rest of the day I was fine and it didnβt happen, but then I woke up and tried it again this morning and it happened again!
All day my lower jaw/neck feels tender/sensitive without me touching it. Then, when I was washing my face, I massaged my lower jaw on the left side of my face and it felt almost blocked up or clogged. The left side of my face also feels like itβs bloated or puffier.
I have a feeling that it might have something to do with my lymph nodes but Iβm not sure, cause this has never happened to me before! Could it also maybe be a sinus issue, because a couple days ago I had a sore throat like I was getting sick, and now the soreness is gone but Iβm having issues with this now.
Sorry for the long paragraphs itβs hard to explain but hopefully someone knows what this is and how I can fix it! Thank you!
