Just ordered a Calathea Lutea rhizome & was planning to put it in leca and in one of these pots with a humidity dome. I’ve never dealt with a Calathea rhizome so I was wondering if that would be a good idea? reddit.com/gallery/r4sog4

Cycling a 5 gallon. recommended to me some plants that would fit the scape. Currently have 4 cuts of crypt lutea in there as well as a mini tiger lotus. I have ludwigia growing roots in a tupperware but I think they’d look weird in contrast……

Rosa banksiae Lutea-Banksian thorns question

I am new to roses but wanted a thornless climber and was lead to believe a Rosa banksiae Lutea-Banksian was the right rose for me. Today I have noticed a new shoot has grown with signs of thorns. Is this correct? or have I been given misinformation on the rose?

Wake Robin blooming at last! Trillium lutea is native to the Eastern USA and lives happily in any woodsy area. Supports local insect life which in turn supports the birds. If you don't have many insects in your yard you definitely need more native plants.
