Terry Stotts is on his 9th year as the Blazers coach. I understand that he is very well-respected around the NBA as an underrated coach, but I cannot get over that he has only made it out of the second round once in nearly a decade. On top of that, the Blazers typically end every playoff run in abysmal fashion.
For example: In Terry's tenure the Blazers are 4-28 in the final series of each time they have made the playoffs. They have never finished a season where they did better than losing 1-4 in their playoff exit round and that indicates that we have never actually been real contenders as we have consistently been severely outclassed by much better teams that were actual competitors for a championship.
The counter argument for this is constantly "well it's unfair to point out his exiting playoff series record because making it to the 2nd/3rd round should be celebrated, not held against him." OK, well then lets go through his playoff record by round with the Blazers:
First round (14-21)
Second Round (6-10)
Third Round (0-4)
Now to Terry's credit, he has helped build a consistent playoff caliber team that has built a culture of regular season success. That is something that isn't easily achievable in the NBA and can easily be taken for granted. My issue is he's literally been the coach for over 1/3 of my life (26m) and I can't honestly say that we are any closer to actually competing for a title than we were back in 2014.
So I ask, has there ever been a coach that has coached a team for 9+ seasons with as little playoff success as Terry Stotts?
MC knocked firmly on the door in front of her.
“Come in” she heard his voice call.
With furrowed eyebrows and a pout, she pushed her way into Diavolo’s bedroom.
“Ah MC, Barbatos warned me you wanted to speak.” He chuckled lowly as he poured himself a glass of wine.
“With all due respect my Lord, do you not think there are more important agendas you should be attending to rather than pulling a pathetic prank on myself and the brothers?” She asked, hands firmly placed on her hips.
“And miss out on seeing those brothers squirm?” He laughed. “No...this certainly couldn’t go amiss. Perhaps you’d like to see your little home made video?”
Not giving MC the chance to answer, he switched on the tele, pressing ‘play’ on the already paused video
“Look at how upset Mammon gets seeing Levi take his place.” He spoke lowly. “And look at Lucifer breaking that stern demeanour of his to feed you - even I couldn’t have got him to do that.”
“Why are you enjoying this?” MC turned to him, lifting an eyebrow.
“Because my dear, no matter how much those brothers squabble over your affection, you and I both know that they don’t stand a chance.” He spoke, stepping toward MC. “I know what you want and it’s not them.”
“How could you know what I want?” She challenged, her skin growing warm as her heartbeat quickened.
“Are you denying it?” He asked, closing the gap between them both. With one of his large hands, he moved the hair that had fallen across MC’s face. “You want me and I want you.”
I've been meaning to get back into yoga for a long time now. My yoga practice petered out as I went through university (blame school for all of my problems!) It's been almost 5 years since I've done yoga in any kind of capacity, that's why this is such a big thing for me right now.
Yesterday and this morning, all I did was some sun salutations for 10ish minutes. Before, I have told myself that I should do a whole set, but finding a yoga video to follow or planning my own set was too much. So I just did sun salutations - and I feel great! My body is pretty stiff, so I'm feeling the stretch now. But they made me feel good, my shoulders stopped clunking, my breath got smooth, and I was almost able to touch my toes again, but not going to push it! I think I've kind of forgotten how good I felt in my body when I did yoga.
I don't expect many comments, and I'm just posting mainly for myself to acknowledge my little success. If anyone has any cool stories about how you got back into yoga/how you started I would love to hear! All you guys are really impressive and inspiring on this sub! With everything that's been going on, I'm hoping to keep going and add more moves to my sun salutations.
Well my boy gets out, and he keeps asking Mitch for the rabbit back, but he's just getting the runaround every time. So I asked my boy, "What you gon' do?"
He said, "I dont know man, all I can say is Mitch better have my bunny."
