A list of puns related to "Lily Allen"
Hi all, I can't think of a place that I'd have a better chance at finding an HQ file of this track. BN used to play it quite a bit and I think it's an absolute gem, but I can't find an HQ file anywhere. Any help is immensely appreciated. Here's a link to the song...

Edit: to make clear, I'm 100% happy to pay for it if someone can show me a link to purchase a lossless file.
So I've struggled with this one ever since it came out. A lot of the songs are definitely ska / reggae influenced and there's no denying the album cover is pure ska. But her subsequent work definitely is not, so I'm not sure where ska affecianados fall on this?
And if it isn't, how'd she drift so close to the mark? Was it her producer? Or is this a No Doubt kind of situation where her subsequent work goes main stream cause that's where the money is?
Forget about guns and forget ammunition, cause I'm killin em all on my own lil mission.
Basically slow songs that someone could relax to and they sound pleasant to the ears. Thank you! (More examples: Lavender Burning by Half Waif, Fourth of July by Sufjan Stevens, Hidden in The Sand by Tally Hall, and Meet Me in The Hallway by Harry Styles)
July 13, 2006. Lily Allen drops what I consider to be one of the most iconic pop albums of the 2000s. Itβs a sharp, funny, conversational record with a cool mix of influences, from reggae to ska to R&B. Lily worked with a variety of producers on the album, including Greg Kurstin (Everythingβs Just Wonderful, Not Big, Friend of Mine) and Mark Ronson (Littlest Things). Alright, Still debuted at #2 on the UK Albums chart and at 20 on the Billboard 200 in the US. The album received critical acclaim, with an AV Club review giving it an A- and British newspaper The Guardian rating it 5 stars.
(It may be a relic of the past, but we really have MySpace to thank for putting Lily on the map. She started posting demos there in November 2005 and before long, sheβd racked up tens of thousands of listeners. She ended up producing two mixtapes (aptly called My First Mixtape and My Second Mixtape) and 500 limited edition vinyl singles of LDN, one of the demos.)
Speaking of LDN, letβs talk about those iconic songs. Lilyβs label, Regal, was displeased with some of the demos and hired producers and songwriters to approve songs for the debut album. One of the songs Lily liked was the aforementioned LDN, which was co-written and produced by the musical duo Future Cut. LDN is a great observational track about daily life inβwhere else?βLondon. It has a very bouncy, cheerful tune with a great sample of βReggae Merengueβ by Tommy McCook and the Supersonics.
Smile, the debut single from the album, is probably Lilyβs most well-known song, and for good reason. Itβs a bitingly witty kiss-off to an ex with an extremely catchy pop hook. The shimmery, reggae-inspired production is the work of Future Cut, with a sample in the organ riff of the Jackie Mittoo playing keyboards on the 1960s rocksteady song "Free Soul" by the Soul Brothers. The song managed to peak at 49 on the Billboard Hot 100 but was a much bigger success in her home country, topping the UK Singles Chart.
Littlest Things is perhaps my favorite track from the album. It has a really lovely piano sample from Pierre Bachelet and HervΓ© Roy's music in the softcore pornography film Emmanuelle (and not Karma Police by Radiohead, as I once mistakenly thought). Itβs a very sweet, nostalgic-sounding tune. It peaked at 21 on the UK Singles Chart but reached #5 on Tracklisten (now known as Hitlisten), Denmarkβs top 40 chart, proving that the Danes have taste.
Finally, I wanna discuss Alfie, the best song Iβve ever heard thats
