A list of puns related to "Kirkwood"
How are they making their money? Surely the market for mattresses isnβt that high. Is this just a laundering scheme? Lmao
We booked tickets in advance and kirkwood turned us back from the gate because they are full. Not even a holiday weekend. Warning to anyone planning on skiing this weekend: that 1.5 hr line isnβt an accident, itβs people waiting to be let in.
On the plus side, looks gorgeous there!
Hi everyone,
I accepted a job with employee housing at Kirkwood since it was one of the last resorts with actual employee housing available.
I heard its a small resort but with a lot of difficult and varied terrain to explore.
I also read that night life there is virtually non-existent, but employees gotta have fun somehow right? Was looking for input on this last point specifically if anyone has experience at Kirkwood.
He lied on the stand, and Mike's guilt plea proves it. Won't that land him in prison for years?
Just found this hilarious but on Kirkwood's own trail map there's a box in the bottom left that reads:
"CAUTION: Deep snow or tree wells can ... blahblah ... for more information visit www.TreeWellDeepSnowSafety.com"
... please click the link and enjoy the lols.
edit: shot KW a message on FB about this and sure enough they had no idea lol, said it can take a bit of time to get it updated but they will let the design contractor know
In the 7 years I have lived here, I have never seen them close the gates for Luther Pass. Crazy!
Oh...also, Meyers looks like some sort of Mad Max Carmageddon.
Mods, delete if not allowed. Longshot here but my husband parted company with his brown, leather wallet yesterday somewhere between the rental shop, the Timber Ridge Lodge, or possibly the Carson Pass trailhead. His first name is Jacob. Appreciate the heads up if anyone happens to run across it. βπ»
One day last month I went into the ally by Jimmy Johnβs and Upstairs. Tucked in the back was a ramen restaurant that was under construction. It looked really cool! Does anyone know when it will open?
I walked through Kirkwood yesterday for the first time in like a week and itβs open for cars again. I liked it when it was a more people centric area but I guess with it being winter the bars and restaurants donβt need outdoor dining anymore. How is everyone else feeling about it?
Does anyone think they are good or I should pass and get fresh wings? I thought they would be a good idea for an easy app

I just cruised by there right now and it looks like the place caught fire?
Been trying to confirm if there is snowtubing available at Kirkwood.
Heading out with a group where some aren't interested in hitting the slopes each day.
Hopefully someone can answer who's been there recently.
I'm wary of info that's from the pre-COVID years
Tried it for thanksgiving , we are experienced, good cooks⦠it was terrible!! Like shoe leather! Brought back receipt & got refund , I googled & many people gave it bad reviews. One of the very few things we ever disliked at Aldi!
The CalTrans map said Carson Pass was closed to traffic for avalanche mitigation right at the entrance of the resort all day yesterday. Kirkwood's twitter said they were open though after a snow hold in the morning. In that case, is the resort pretty much only open to people staying there? For those who were lucky enough to ride/ski there since the big storms, how was it??
Does anyone know if this date is still locked in, or is it likely to change?
Hi! I'm in Tahoe until 1/12 and looking for folks to ski with at Heavenly or Kirkwood. I'm a 30M, intermediate/advanced intermediate skier skiing about 60% blues and 40% blacks. Happy to ski effectively any day!
