Feeling when receiving the Kepi Blanc

Despite a lot of negative comments from serving Legionnaires about the realities of La Legion and the opportunities to train like soldiering is actually important, nothing has excited me more recently than the thought of getting to be one of the chosen men. Winning best shot at Catterick was cool, Commissioning from Sandhurst was pretty epic, but I am interested to hear what it felt like putting that Kepi on for the first time. Any Legionnaires/anciens mind sharing what they felt?
