So I made a post about Katrina Kaif endorsing fairness creams while simultaneously brown fishing and u/vetements312 made an interesting comment there. They highlighted how Katrina Kaif is India's Hilaria Baldwin and I think that is a damn good observation. I wonder what this sub feels about this? I'd also like to know why do you think Katrina Kaif gets a free pass for lying about her heritage.

During the time of Dhoom 3 promotions when asked if she is okay with the regressive idea of endorsing fairness creams, Katrina Kaif said, "When endorsing a cream I will make sure that it does not claim to improve skin colour or fairness, as it is ridiculous and very wrong. I am not sure if I have done it in the past. But now, there is a lot of awareness on it and I am sure I will not do it henceforth."

But clearly those claims meant nothing to Kat as she is now seen endorsing a skin "whitening cream" by L'Oreal.

Veteran journalist Shekhar Gupta, in his latest, no-nonsense opinion, openly named who's who of Bollywood and their alleged politics during award shows. Shekhar recalled a few instances where certain Bollywood biggies got miffed over receiving no awards or nominations.

The above-mentioned incident took place in the year 2012, at Screen Awards when Shekhar Gupta was the CEO of the organisation in question.

Shekhar, in his piece, claimed how he had to end up going to the Ek Tha Tiger actress' vanity van and plead her because she threw last-minute tantrums. Recalling their encounter, Shekhar stated how the actress had a breakdown while saying that she is always called at award shows but is never given one. Well, that's when they had to invent the 'popular choice award' category. "In 2012, when Katrina Kaif was to perform, paid fully in advance, she threw a tantrum minutes before her performance as she wasn’t being given any award. I was taken to her vanity van to plead with her," wrote Shekhar.

He added, "Katrina was all dressed and painted up to perform. And then, the outburst. Why do they always call me but give me no awards? I said that was never the deal, you have a contract to perform. But by now, tears were streaming down her face, taking much of the make-up in their wake. Again, we invented a popular choice award."

Since her initial days in the film industry, Katrina Kaif has been close to Salman Khan’s family. In an interview, Aayush Sharma said that the family not being invited to her wedding with Vicky Kaushal is ‘no big deal’. Aayush is married to Salman’s younger sister Arpita Khan.

Vicky and Katrina tied the knot at the Six Senses Fort Barwara in Rajasthan last month. Only a select few celebrities were on the guest list of the heavily guarded wedding, including Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi, Kabir Khan and Sharvari Wagh.

Talking about the family not being invited to the wedding, Aayush told Bollywood Bubble, “For us, Katrina is a very dear friend and all of us wish her all the best. It’s the way she wants to decide her marriage and there is no big deal about it. I think everyone makes a very big deal. It’s her and Vicky’s big day and they need to have a good time, in whatever capacity, that’s about it.”

Aayush added that the family is ‘happy’ that Katrina has found love. “Katrina is always going to be close to us as a family and we are just happy that she is happy. When people find happiness, that is the most beautiful thing we can wish for our family, friends, colleagues, that everybody finds their centre and their happiness,” he said

Jee Le Zaraa, Farhan Akhtar’s girl-bonding road film seems to have hit a roadblock. It needs three A-listers heroes to go with the three female superstars Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt. But the heroes are not showing any inclination to be chivalrous

A source close to director Farhan Akhtar says, “It is tough casting the male leads when the female leads are already in place. All the top actors assume the women have meaty roles while the men are mere shadows. Lekin aisa nahin hai. The men in Jee Le Zaraa have very important roles to play. Lekin abb inko kaun samjhaye (who is going to explain to them?).”

Apparently, Farhan wants three male superstars to be paired his trio of super-ladies. He may end up casting himself as one of the leads to set an example for other top-notch leading men who are wary of being seen in the company of assertive women.

I don't know about others, but I don't think I have seen katrina kaif as happy as she is now in the wedding pictures.

Maybe her personal life wasn't always available to the public eye. But it is really cute seeing her like this.

Okay so this might be the unpopular opinion and I might be downvoted to hell for doing this but how can people forget things so easily.I mean she always had Salman Khan as her ‘guide/mentor/whatever’ and she never reciprocated his feelings for her.I completely agree she’s not owed to do that.But she kept of leeching and enjoying all the perks that come with having stayed with him despite him always signalling what he wants, I mean isn’t this also wrong on some level.Why would you use his connection or favour if you know it clearly has some strings attached? Then Ranbir,she knew he was in a relationship for god’s sake.Still she did it.Isnt that just so wrong on so many levels. Ranbir Kapoor, who was once dating Katrina, reportedly extended his wishes and gifted her a diamond necklace worth Rs 2.7 crore. Basically the title- I really find Vaani Kapoor to look very similar to Katrina Kaif. I recently saw her interview on film companion , and she was so articulate in my opinion, very similar to Kat.

Moreover, if you listen to that interview and close your eyes, you would think it's Katrina imho.

Also, I really like her actually, I mean her movies haven't been that great, but she is pretty and I liked her in CKA too. What are your thoughts?

I've been seeing a lot of people discuss Vicky and Katrina's first appearance post the wedding and some of it include maybe going live on Instagram or having an interview with Karan, etc. But how exciting would it be if they had an interview in the TapeCast format, it would be an homage to their "first date" (of sorts/the moment we all felt undeniable chemistry and adoration) and it would be just the two of them, no distractions. I know it's a far fetched thought that 99.9% won't happen, but a girl can dream! And if it were upto me I would name the tapes 'wedding', 'favourite date', 'the moment you knew the other person was the one' etc hahaha, like I said, a girl can dream!! What do you guys think? How do you think they'll go about it and what are you looking forward to? Realistically, I think they'll continue being rather private and lowkey once all the wedding photos are out and they make a few appearances. But one never knows!

Was just watching kwk episode of VD and Katrina and would have loved to see them together on big screen, specially Katrina in a Dance film!

Ok so I came across the following interview: https://youtu.be/gratZDAQ2sI In the interview Miss Kaif mentions she is 23 years old, however it is clear she is promoting the film "Singh is Kinng" which came out in 2008. Her Wikipedia page states she was born in 1983, which means she should've been 24/25 around this time. In adddition to that, during the interview, the banner that appears on the bottom of the screen shows her birth year as 1984. Was she lying in the past about her age? I really dont understand all the mystery behind her life and her trying to lie about almost everything in her life. What do you guys think, it just seems so weird that she has even been lying about her age? Or maybe a mistake?

If the rumours about Vickat wedding are true, then I am very happy the way Vicky’s family have accepted their relationship. I mean I read on several sources that he grew up in a middle class, every day suburban Bombay home as compared to Ranbir kapoor. And the parents would then seem to have accepted their relationship and also Katrina’s past which seem to be the bone of contention for Neetu and Rishi. I mean such a huge family so “modern” couldn’t accept Katrina so that speaks volumes about who they are and what kind of mentality they possess. Vicky and his family who seem to come from a middle class background are way more accepting and tolerant of people with different background and past.
