A list of puns related to "Jim Thorpe"

So im planning on moving to Jim Thorpe (and also America as well) to start a new life, and im wondering if you guys have had good experiences with the place, I've been pretty sure that this is the place i wanna move to because of the small New England town feel but the closer i get to making that a reality the more doubts i have over the decision. My main concern would be that the place ends up feeling a bit too small, the place has a relatively low population so i dont wanna end up feeling like everybody knows everybody.
Another concern i have is that there's not going to be many people around my age-range (17-24) that i can make friends with, tourist towns do tend to have higher population of middle aged and elderly people.
I am also worried that the town won't have many activities for meeting people, i don't want the place to feel too still and calm so im wondering if there's stuff like special cafe nights, festivals, meetups, house parties and all that kind of stuff.
Lastly i wanna know if the town is walkable, if i do end up moving there im going to pretty close to downtown so it would be great if instead of driving i could just walk torwards the local library or cafe. I'd really appreciate if any of you would provide positives and negatives to Jim Thorpe and alternative places to move to that are similar. Cheers!
I picked up these cards from Jim Thorpe a few months ago.
Iβd love to send them to anyone who is interested. Please PM me with your address

>The honors continue to roll in for the University of Cincinnati Bearcats football team as defensive back Coby Bryant won the Jim Thorpe Award Thursday night. The award, which is given to the best defensive back in the country, is the first ever for a Bearcat.
>Bryant joins head coach Luke Fickell in winning a national award for the Bearcats' 13-0 season, which earned them a semifinal berth in the College Football Playoff against the Alabama Crimson Tide on Dec. 31 (3:30 p.m. on ESPN). Fickell was named the Home Depot National Coach of the Year.
>The fifth-year senior finished the season with 40 tackles, two forced fumbles and three interceptions.
>"It's a blessing," Bryant said. "I just want to give thanks to God. I try to be a leader for this team and just lead the younger guys as well."
Have been here once before, but only super late at night on a week night (arrived around 3 AM just to crash on the way elsewhere) and during the day on the following day of checkout. Seemed very nice and unique during the day, and even some of the bars I passed looked like they had cool decor, but I can't tell if nightlife is a thing here. I tried looking bars up online but most seem to close down by 10 PM, and I wouldn't be surprised if there is an older community here with a quieter later night, even on weekends.
I'll be here for a concert at Penn's Peak in a couple weeks and staying the night after, and it will be a weekend night, so just curious what to expect. I'll be staying in Lehighton, so that's an option too for nightlife, but definitely trying to find at least some late night spots to hit. If anyone has any input, would be highly recommended.
If it matters, I'm in my late 20s and single/male.
Just saw a reference on YouTube to a concert at the site that was cancelled a year or two ago β Penn something or other. Date is April 23 2022. Any one confirm this?
Edit: Penn's Peak is the venue. Sorry.
Hello! Iβm from Ohio and Iβm trying to plan a Fall trip to somewhere thatβs not too far from the Cleveland area (less than 8 hours). Iβm just looking for a chill long weekend where I can peruse cute shops and admire the Fall foliage. Is Jim Thorpe a good destination to do that? Iβm actually trying to live out my Gilmore Girls Stars Hollow dream trip (yes, Iβm a dork) but donβt really want to go further into the northeast (which Iβm assuming is also more expensive in say Connecticut or Vermont).
Hey all,
Iβm looking to do a little bit of hiking in Jim Thorpe tomorrow and camp overnight. I know that there are various campgrounds near Jim Thorpe, but is anyone familiar with Appalachian Trail style βcamp sightsβ that are man made and free relatively near the Glen Onoko Falls and Jim Thorpe? I havenβt hiked Mt. Pigsah yet and donβt know if they offer such things. The closer to a water source the better. Thank you!
