A list of puns related to "Intermittent"
Portion control !!! The amount of food that we are served at restaurants is absurd , especially when it comes to meat portions.
I went from 244 to 193...Iโll probably be up to 196 after the dinner I plan to have tonight in celebration of the 50lb mark, but Iโll get back on it tomorrow and hit that goal weight of 185 before too long!
Edit: thanks for all the support! There have been a lot of hungry days but I am much healthier now.
Also, I did not contract COVID-19. My comment was more in regards to how the pandemic shut down restaurants and offices and then forced us into our homes.
We would like to thank the community here on r/AMD for its assistance with logs and reports as we investigated the intermittent USB connectivity you highlighted. With your help, we believe we have isolated the root cause and developed a solution that addresses a range of reported symptoms, including (but not limited to): USB port dropout, USB 2.0 audio crackling (e.g. DAC/AMP combos), and USB/PCIe Gen 4 exclusion.
AMD has prepared AGESA 1.2.0.2 to deploy this update, and we plan to distribute 1.2.0.2 to our motherboard partners for integration in about a week. Customers can expect downloadable BIOSes containing AGESA 1.2.0.2 to begin with beta updates in early April. The exact update schedule for your system will depend on the test and implementation schedule for your vendor and specific motherboard model. If you continue to experience intermittent USB connectivity issues after updating your system to AGESA 1.2.0.2, we encourage you to download the standalone AMD Bug Report Tool and open a ticket with AMD Customer Support.
Hey! I'm considering writing this guide with nutritionists and scientists, there is so much to say:
- Fasting and hormones
- PCOS and fasting
- Fasting for your skin
- Fasting and menopause
- The anti-aging benefits of fasting
- Hypothyroidism and fasting
-...
Please comment this post if you would find this useful.
I would like to pose a question to the nutritionists in the group: what is your professional opinion as healthcare workers regarding intermittent fasting? If IF suits my life style and aligns with my natural hunger cues (I eat 3 well and healthy macro-balanced meals and work out 4 times a week), it may be able to be used somewhat successfully as a tool for weight loss/ maintenance? It's not much different from any other calorically restrictive diet / dietary restriction? Any body fat loss from IF has less to do with low insulin levels and using fat for fuel , and more to do with he likelihood of being a caloric deficit from a restricted eating window? what about effects of intermittent fasting on body composition and clinical health markers in humans?
Thanks in advance!
TL;DR - (EDIT: unlikely my issue is on Riots end) Router or some devices seem to have an issue with 802.11 b/g/n/ax mixed modes, disable that in your router if able and perfect solid ping.
So like many I've been struggling with lag spikes. They aren't all the time but at least 1-2 times per game and varying intensity. It's maddening. I've read all the posts I could find and tried all the solutions listed to no avail. I'm an engineer and tech savvy to boot so I started really thinking and believe I've cracked the issue.
To be clear, I tried router location, wifi only, settings galore etc. Like many my issue only seemed to happen on WIFI but I have bad cell service at home so trying mobile data wasn't a good option. I tried airplane mode too etc etc. Finally I realized on my work iPhone XR, same wifi and settings the issue didn't occur. That's when it hit me. My S20 ultra supports Wifi6. My router puts out a mixed signal for devices that do and don't support it. I tried changing my router to 802.11a/g/n only amd BAM, PERFECT 33ms ping at 120FPS solid. It's amazing. I hope this helps even one person. I'm in touch with RIOT tech support to let them know as well.
Happy grinding!!!
Hey guys fellow retainer here.
Just want to let you guys know how intermittent fasting + SR does incredible things to you.
Well we all know about SR but if you don't do intermittent fasting on regular basis, you are missing out on the full potential of this journey.
1)Secretion of BDNF (responsible for neuron growth in brain) is greatly enhanced during fasting. You'll feel incredibly sharp due to the secretion of this neurotransmitter.
2)Human Growth Hormone increases by upto 5 folds. This can result in faster muscle growth and recovery as well enhanced fat burning process in the body.
3)Cells in the body are repaired way faster when a body is in a fasted state. Thus slowing aging process. Production of collagen and removal of toxins from the body is at peak during fast. Hence fasting ages you backward.
4)Fasting boost the process of producing of mitochondria (also known as energy bodies) resulting in greater energy levels.
The list goes on. Some studies have even shown that fasting can increase testostron production upto 180% + SR can do this upto 400%.
So SR + IF is a combo made in heaven guys. Can't emphasis more on how both are great gifts for us humankind.
I was looking through my computer for a particular file, when I came across a Google Slide of a presentation I did during my first semester in Grad School. It's titled, Effects of Intermittent Fasting on Metabolism and Athletic Performance. In it, my group went over the the effect that intermittent fasting (IF) can have on metabolism, performance, and cognition.
Overall, of particular interest to this sub, IF may have significant positive effects on metabolism and cognition, in as little time as a few days to a few weeks. Conversely, IF can have a negative acute effect on performance. In the case of backpacking, performance would be a thru hike, a week long trip, a weekender, or an overnighter. However, if someone is using IF in a training aspect for a future performance, IF can have beneficial effects, if they are trying to promote fat utilization. Under normal circumstances, fat is the main "fuel" source when backpacking. This is why I practice IF here in the default world, and eat ad libitum on trail.
I think it's particularly pertinent now, given how backpacking season in the United States is beginning to open up, coinciding with the beginning of Ramadan a few days ago. Of course, IF is also used as a tool to reduce weight. In fact, the main reason I'm making this posts is because the subject of IF comes up very often on Worn Weight Wednesdays here on the sub. Many people on those posts wish to loose weight or enhance performance, and wonder if IF could help.
Some of the content may be a little high brow. I went back and explained some of the abbreviations in the slides, and some other finer points as well, in the Speaker Notes. At the end of the slides, you can view the 30 or so scientific peer-reviewed references we used. Let me know if you have questions, and I'll try to get back to you as soon as I can. I'm about to graduate with a Master's in Exercise Science, find a real job, and maybe move and buy a house within the next few months. I am SWAMPED. So, sorry I haven't been around lately.
Iโm a 19 yr old male and trying to lose weight for a while now. Iโm a student nd not active. Iโm trying to lose weight mostly from diet modification and healthy eating habits without exercise as I donโt rly have the time or facility for that. Iโm currently 80kg/180lbs and 5โ8โ. Iโve been eating around 1300 calories per day which I believe is already way below my maintenance calories and doing intermittent fasting (not strictly) for a while now, almost months but Iโm still not seeing major results but Iโve been hearing from people that I look thinner. Plus Iโm doing Ramadan right now and I gained a few kgs. But funny enough, after a few days of restricting my food I lost about 2-3 kg and came back to 80kg. Iโve started taking it more seriously for the past 2-3 days.
Majority if not all of my fat is in the belly region. In other areas of my body I canโt really notice much fat. Like if I suck my stomach in a little and lift my arms up, I can see my ribcage and I also have some decent muscle definition on my biceps and shoulders. I also have a weird hip to waist ratio, itโs almost like a hourglass shape which Iโm kinda worried bout since afaik women are supposed to have the hourglass shape.
I only have two meals a day and a bucket loads of water like 3 Litres a day. I use myfitnesspal to track my food (not religiously tho). My meal timings are according to the 16:4 IF diet. For example for Ramadan right now, I have my breakfast (Suhoor) at 3 am and have Oats with milk, peanut butter, eggs and have dinner at around 6:30 pm and have dates, fruits and some yoghurt and a little bit of whatever is on the table but not fried foods. Iโm South asian so we do eat rice a lot but for the past few months Iโve restricted my rice intake to only 2 cups a day.
Kindly let me know if Iโm doing anything wrong or what else I could do to lose weight and body fat without exercise. Iโm thinking about starting the 20:4 IF diet
Details: Age: 19 Sex: Male Height: 5โ8โ or 177 cm Weight: 81 kg or 180lbs Current diet: 1300 calories Water intake: 2-3 ltr daily Following 16:4 IF meal timings
On en parle de plus en plus, et il y a un peu plus d'un an j'ai dรฉcidรฉ de me lancer.
Au bout d'un an, je dirais que l'expรฉrience a รฉtรฉ plutรดt positive.
