A list of puns related to "Infotainment"
"North America is finally getting its new 2022 Tesla Model Y and Model 3 batches with upgraded media system processors and new 12V batteries. Tesla is now equipping all new cars with AMD Ryzen chips instead of the older, slower Intel Atoms, and swapping the 12V lead-acid batteries that were prone to failure with new Li-ion packs. Previously, the AMD Ryzen advantage was only given to Tesla cars made in its Chinese factory, but now the goods are coming to America."

I have a 2015 Lexus IS 350 F Sport. I love the car, but the infotainment is sorely dated. Can I have it replaced with something that has Apple CarPlay?
Iβve read this is a common occurrence with the new 11β screen that controls many of the cars function. In the 8 or so months of ownership it has happened to me a handful of times. Iβm quite certain it has to do with CarPlay as every time it has happened, my phone is plugged in, normally I just use it to stream BT sans CarPlay as I donβt really use maps or any other features. That said, I only recently acquired a dash cam which is battery less and uses the usb-a port for draw. When it crashed, it also shut down the camera. To conclude, has anyone heard of a TSB for this issue? Iβve only come across the issue in passing and only to the extent that it requires a reboot. Come to think of it, it did once or twice freeze up entirely and I had to depress the knob to reset it, as you can well imagine, this is a great cause for concern should this happen while you were operating the vehicle and were making use of some functionality that ties into the infotainment system,
One lesson I think we can learn from Trump is that conservatives REALLY like their propagandists like Tucker Carlson, Hannity, Lou Dobbs, etc. Trump basically won the presidency by just parroting all the propaganda talking points from Fox News.
And when he was the President, he made these propagandists almost a part of his administration. He would ask their advice on several things, he had them show up to his rallies like they are WWE superstars, and he even had them dial into official meetings (which is insane). And the conservatives LOVE this.
I canβt imagine the same thing happening on the left. Like, does Biden have Rachel Maddow and Ari Melber call into meetings? Does he have them run out to music at rallies?
I just canβt see this type of crap flying on the left, and I feel like the rightβs obsession with their propagandists is a huge problem. Itβs part of what gives them the ridiculous world view they have.
Thoughts?
I love my 08 tundra. Unfortunately, it has the old radio and the backup camera is viewed on a 3x3 screen that drops down like the sunglasses holder. I want it to make it a bit more modern and add a touchscreen multimedia system that has apple carplay and where I can view the backup camera in a much bigger screen.
I could never get PAK to work reliably, like many people, and have tried over and over again to get it working. I've created new profiles, removed and re-added, gone through the whole process numerous times, but it would always work in the beginning and then become inconsistent until eventually it just would stop working altogether.
I realized a pattern - that every time I created a new profile and re-paired, it was working fine until I connected my phone to the infotainment bluetooth connection for phone calls, messages etc. Last week I did it one last time and ran into the same issues again, it worked for several days until I realized I had never paired my phone for phone calls. I paired it that day, and the next day I couldn't get PAK to unlock the doors. I went into the 'Phone' menu in the car, settings, and set the Bluetooth connection to 'Off', and lo and behold PAK started working reliably and consistently again, and has worked 100% of the time in the week since.
If you have issues with PAK working; if you look in the app and it says your PAK is "Not connected" even when you're sitting in the car... Try disabling your infotainment Bluetooth connection, restart the bluetooth on your phone, and see if it fixes the PAK for you.
So far I've left my infotainment bluetooth disabled on the car side and like I said PAK has worked 100% of the time for me since then, even waking up quickly from sleep to unlock when I touch the handle.
I have a Pixel 6 Pro on Android 12
Edit: nevermind it still fails to connect intermittently - still shit
I keep hearing in videos that tall people are having trouble seeing the infotainment screen. Are there any people above 6 ft that are having this issue?
It might just be me, but I think if you sell a car product that doesnβt work in cold weather, then it should probably be recalledβ¦
The car itself is seven years old but Iβve only had it for five. And I bought the nav card at the same time in 2017, so I donβt think it should be crapping out THIS soon. I am not currently in a position to cough up $475. I feel a little bit cheated because I tried to get it fixed once already, and they just replaced the screen under warranty. They should have caught this issue (that itβs the nav card) in the first place. That being said, this is the first problem Iβve EVER had with Mazda.
Would it be a mistake to purchase one somewhere else? Is that even possible? Any advice would be appreciated.
I've had it for a few days now and it has been great so far. I do have one question about the infotainment center.
In my 2018 Camry the infotainment screen's main menu would show a lot of things at once: the audio info (source type and name of music), 4 favorite phone contacts, and gas mileage info. I loved having all that info at once, at a glance.
In my new CX-9 it looks like I can only view one of those things at a time and I have to dig through various menus to get to it. If I go into "Information" I can get gas mileage stats but then it won't show my favorite contacts, and vice versa.
Is there a way to set up a 'default screen' that shows multiple things you might want? I'd love to have the screen set up to show a lot of info from different settings, at the same time.
Bought my Mazda 6 at a Kia dealership a month ago. Everything has been working perfectly until today. 51k miles, really good condition.
I had my phone connected through BT playing music. But then the display started flipping out on me pressing buttons on its own, jumping through the menus, opening apps. My controls stopped responding consistently.
I tried turn the car on and off. No change. I disconnected my charging cables from the USB port and it went away for about 20 minutes and started again.
I'm in the process of downloading the latest update in case that's the problem. But I thought I'd ask in case anyone has seen this issue before.
Thanks!
Edit: Looks like it was already up to date...
Edit2: Took it to the dealership. It shows that this is my first Mazda. Turns out the software WAS out of date. Over 4 years out of date. My local Mazda charged me $80 to update it (which I think is BS, but w/e, I'll learn to it from now on). They said the update got the touch screen working again, and that they hope it resolves my ghost clicking, but only time will tell.
Hi All,
My AWD Pro S just left the factory and I'm super excited, but I'm still concerned over the two main issues all reviewers identify: laggy infotainment and the lack of one pedal driving.
Do people share these concerns? Can over the air updates solve these issues?
Also, I've gotta be one of the last people to get a 2021 model instead of being upgraded to a 2022. Can over the air updates really increase the range?
Thanks!
I love my 21β Touring, but can I just say the infotainment system is buggy as hell. Iβve legit never seen another model car with this many bugs in the infotainment system. CarPlay crashes, screen goes black, audio drops completely, navigation quits working, just to name a few issues. Not to mention I have to reboot it once every month (park, reverse, park before the screen comes on).
Honda, PLEASE fix your infotainment system. Let us report bugs at the very least so yβall can take a look.
I legit just had to factory reset the thing because the navigation app loads to a black screen and the compass doesnβt work. The dealer wanted to replace the entire head unit, but I just tried a factory reset to resolve the issue.
Total side note, does anyone elseβsβ wireless charger work with an iPhone 12 or newer? I took it in a while back and they said thereβs a service bulletin from Honda and no fix yet.
Do yβall have similar issues with your 10th gen? EDIT: For those who arenβt aware of the wireless charger bulletin: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2021/MC-10189311-0001.pdf
Hello Rolla people,
just realized that Toyota has just updated the website for the Corolla which is now available as a black edition with leather interior and heated rear seats and also comes with the new infotainment system they announced in December.
The prices have also increased by about 1000β¬ depending on the trim level.
I still have a Corolla on order, really curious to see if i will get the new infotainment system or not and how the dealer will pitch me the higher price.
I purchased a 2021 VW Atlas Cross Sport (V6 SEL Premium) back in July 2021. Everything had been going great until the infotainment center started acting up. Now, when I start my car, the infotainment center does not turn on, which means that I lose not just the luxury features that come along with it, but also the safety features, like the back-up camera. Issues started in the fall (Sept/Oct 2021) as intermittent and are now an everyday, even multi-day occurrence. I suspect that it's due to the cold weather, as it didn't start happening until the temps got colder (northeastern part of USA), and the issue generally goes away after I've been driving the car for 15-30 minutes (after it warms up). The biggest problem is that the back-up camera doesn't show up when I'm reversing after I turn my car on. This is a safety issue, and makes me pretty concerned. I've tried to work with my local dealer, however they haven't been much help.

UPDATE: I brought the car back in, and despite not being able to replicate it, they decided to replace the CTRL Unit (PN 3G5035842B). It's only been 2 days, but the infotainment center starts up fine now, and it's been < -10C (14F for those not on the metric system) up here in the northeast. Fingers crossed! They did say that VW is aware of the problem, and they don't have a solution yet. That probably means that they know it's an issue with the CTRL Unit but haven't actually rolled out any fixes to parts tha
... keep reading on reddit β‘I'm noticing several times after placing my car in park that the buttons on the infotainment display go away leaving just the blue background. If I press the home button, the onscreen buttons come back. Why is this happening?
Title, but more specifically:
How good is the media player with a USB drive vs. just using your phone? Is the onboard nav superior because it has the FordPass network, or does Google do that better, too?
Thanks! Expecting my AWD Premium SR in late April.
I have all my music stored locally on a flash drive, and I realized that my albums are playing in an order I can't really figure out. Maybe it's an order based on mp3 metadata. I have my folders all set up in a way where they played in order in my old car, but they don't in my 2021 Mazda.
My old car would just play everything in one folder in alphabetical order, then move onto the next folder in alphabetical order and play everything in it. The Mazda plays the songs in a folder in alphabetical order, and then instead of going to the next folder in alphabetical order, it just goes to another seemingly random folder and starts at song 1 in there. The albums names and artist names aren't in order either.
I would like to organize my music so that it plays every folder for an artist before moving on to other folders. Not sure how I can do that yet.
At $100 and sometimes less than that, I'm tempted to just have this in my travel backpack with my electronics. I have a Pixel Slate, but its too big for any airline to hold in its tablet holder. I'm debating on getting one of these just to use when I travel to use the in flight entertainment that is free with most airlines now that dont have the screen in the seat, than be able to watch netflix or otherstuff while I travel. I'm wondering why it dropped in price so quickly and if theres anything I should know about this device before pulling the trigger.
