A list of puns related to "Igor Sikorsky"
Just thought Iβd share this brief excerpt from Igor Ivanovich Sikorskyβs book The Meaning of the Lordβs Prayer. In the excerpt, Sikorsky invokes βthe writerβ to refer to himself, and βSolovieff,β I believe, refers to Vladimir Sergeyevich Solovyov. Sikorsky (1889 β 1972) was an aviation pioneer, having designed the first large-scale mass-produced helicopter in 1942. Moreover, he was a devoted Orthodox Christian. His other theological book is The Invisible Encounter (1947), which Iβm still attempting to track down.

Both men were both born in what would become the Soviet Union, and went on to be responsible for some outstanding helicopter designs during their lifetimes. Is there any record of them meeting, having correspondence or a relationship, even if it was a rivalry? Or am I reading far too much into them both being powerhouses of rotary wing design?
The Kiev International Airport located outside of the City of Kiev, in Kiev Oblast, in Kiev Military District (Operational Command North) in the Kiev Region in Ukraine. . . (Kiev) is to be expanded.
The Government of the Hetmanate have seen great results with the recent acquisition of the DC-3 model, now utilized into the Antonov An-4 "Super", we have designed new plans for the Kiev Airport. The Kiev Airport is currently being utilized for military use however with this expansion, we plan to take it into both civilian and military use with the opening of the State Enterprise of Pavlo Airlines.
##Shuttle Services
Our services at the airport will be accommodating to all passenger needs including a bus to shuttle passengers from the main terminal to their designated planes. These shuttles will include a towing for all passenger cargo and similar.
##Expanded the Airfield
We will be expanding the strips to make way for three new CTOL lanes for the An-4's while paving three more additional strips for the STOL vehicles making it now, 4 airstrips for CTOL and 7 for STOL.
STOL (Short Take-off and Landing)
Utilizing the Antonov An-2 models (equipped for 12-passengers), these new strips will be able to fly anywhere in the immediate and near area including poorly maintained airstrips. 14 An-2's will be available for flight at all times, allowing us 168 passenger flights every hour for 16-hours a day for 2,688. Weekly flights can reach up to β18,816β¬ passengers, monthly flights can reach up to β75,264β¬ passengers, again assuming full complement.
CTOL (Conventional Take-off)
Utilizing the An-4 model for larger airliner flights, the new strips will accommodate a total of 8 An-4's at all times within Kiev's Airport meaning on an hourly basis we could see upwards to 256 passengers and a daily (16 hours a day) amount of 4,096 passengers. Monthly, β114,688β¬ passengers with yearly being upwards to ββ1,376,256β¬ passengers. Again, assuming full complement.
