A list of puns related to "Human Nutrition"
I started to exercise and I am changing my food intake to a healthy diet. I would love to know what use my body has to the different nutrients and to understand the human bodies functions.
Most animals have a fairly simple diet, carnivores eat only meat their whole life, cows eat exclusively grass etc. So why are human bodies so picky and need a balance of protein, fat, carbs etc from different sources to perform well?
For anyone who has taken this course in the past, would you say that the text book is a necessity in order to do well?
I am asking this question because I am Vegan and I always have discussions with people who seem to think that they wonβt get enough βnutrientsβ in a vegan diet. When I ask what nutrients I usually get told to βmind my own businessβ or the standard βvitamin B12, iron, vitamin Dβ. But I was wondering, how many people actually have a medical need to eat a specialized diet? How many people will actually βliterally dieβ if they stopped eating meat? Are most humans similar in dietary needs or is more common to need a specialized diet?
Hello!
So I'm going to apply to some Nutrition and Health and Human Nutrition bachelor degree programs and I was wondering if anyone could provide me some insight on their personal experiences in these programs. What university did you go to? Did you enjoy the program?
Thanks!!
How is this class? I can take this instead of some other crummy sciences and I was just wondering what the workload and other things were like.
Hello!
I'm planning to apply to the Applied Human Nutrition Program here. Just wondering if there is anyone in the program or who knows about the program who can give me some insight.
Do you like the program? What have you enjoyed most about the program? What career / further education are you looking to pursue after the program? Any pros and cons of the program?
Any insight, information or advice would be really appreciated! Thanks :)
Iβm debating on taking this or looking for βeasyβ class to take. Iβm taking a heavy course already so I want to keep my schedule relatively easy so open to recommendations.
Has anyone taken Intro to Food Science and Human Nutrition? I am planning on taking it next year as a science elective.
Would anyone recommend it?
Thanks in advance :))
Hello!! Grade 12 Student here considering humeco or nutrition as a premed course.
I'm very curious about Humeco but at the same time I still don't know much about it. I hear its one of the best premed courses sa elbi, why is that? Is it true that more on paperwork daw ang humeco? Do you still have sci subjects besides physio? What subjects do you take that can be helpful sa med? What are some veri specific job opportunities, what do they do? What exactly do u learn/do here, who usually applies sa bs humeco?
I'm also considering nutrition pero mostly cos it's more practical for med plus I also want to challenge myself. I'm not that good sa chem and I was hoping to improve on that before entering medschool. What other subjects should I expect to learn sa nutri? What makes nutri ideal for medschool? Why should/shouldn't I choose this over humeco?
Which program do u think I should put as first choice sa application? Which is the more competitive program? (harder to get in)
Heheh im sorry if I asked too much and THANK YOUUU in advance for your insights and responses. This will help me alot lalo sa pagdecide on which course to take.
Hi! Has anyone taken these classes before? HN 296 with Kirsten Straughan and HN 313 with Eric Meredith. Which class would you recommend?
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone who did the Human Nutrition Major could give me some feedback about it?
Thanks!!
Milk is a nutrient-rich liquid food produced by the mammary glands of mammals. It is the primary source of nutrition for young mammals, including breastfed human infants before they are able to digest solid food.[1] Early-lactation milk is called colostrum, which contains antibodies that strengthen the immune system and thus reduces the risk of many diseases. It holds many other nutrients,[2] including protein and lactose. Interspecies consumption of milk is not uncommon, particularly among humans, many of whom consume the milk of other mammals.
Whatβs up crew.
Iβm a prospective student interested in clinical nutrition/dietetics and was looking for some supplementary info around the MSc courses offered at UBC. The website seems to be either a) lacking info. B) difficult to navigate or c) both πππ
If anyone is studying/has studied either of these masters can you let me know what you thought of the course, curriculum deets, work load and if you enjoyed it please and thanks?!
Much love xx
