A list of puns related to "Home Brewed"
This could also be similar to Aguardiente in Colombia. An while we are at it, what are the local beers? Love you all!
This is my first time DMing and I based this monster off a clay gollum, but trying to make it not too difficult for a party of 4, 5th level PCs. It has been made of clay and enchanted to do the bidding of the BBEG and there are many of them roaming around the village. How does this look in terms of difficulty?
AC: 15 Hit points: 80 Speed: 20ft STR: 20 (+5) DEX: 9(-1) CON: 18(+4) INT: 3(-4) WIS: 8 (-1) CHA: 1 (-5)
Resistant to acid and poison damage Immune to psychic damage Condition immunities: charmed, frightened, poisoned
Makes two slam attacks. +8 to hit, 5ft reach Hit: 2d6 +5 bludgeoning damage.
Ground shaking: As an action, it can strike the ground. All creatures on the ground on a 15ft radius must succeed on a CON save (save DC 13) or be knocked prone until the end of their next turn.
(I ignored the immunity to melee damage not made with adamantine weapons cause I canβt figure them out.... does the sword or whatever have to be made of adamantine? Or go do they have to craft/alter their weapon with it?)
Anyway let me know how challenging yβall this this monster is!! Any suggestions for edits are appreciated :)
So, my GF got me a small batch brewing kit for Christmas and I ended up doing it like a week ago. I did all the kitchen work and got it in the gallon carbon with rubber stopper and hose coming out and into a pint glass so it can purge before I left for a couple days on a trip.
At some point, the batch got to crazy and popped the tubing out of the top and made a mess. My GF found it, as I asked her to keep an eye on it, and replaced it but didnβt clean up since this whole scene was in the bathtub where we both thought was a good place.
When I got home, I went to check on it and tried to clean up the βwortβ, not sure if thatβs the right term, from the tub only to find it had stained the tub. The tub is made of standard tub materials. Acrylic or fiberglass or something. The apartment is one year old so itβs new material.
I tried rinsing it and got nowhere. Further, I took vinegar and a folded paper towel and let it soak for a bit only to create a super white square around this stained portion.
Is this tub screwed? Is there something I can use to get the stain out? Any knowledge about vinegar stains? Not sure where else should I ask. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thinking of having a enemy have a speical type of posian that the party has to find a antidote for but Im having a rough time finding a name for it and what it does to said affected individual. Do you guys got any poisons or venoms that you all would like to share?
This is the description.
This is a magical deck of cards. On rolling for initiative the player can choose to draw their weapon, or take a chance on drawing one of the cards from this deck. There are 20 cards in this deck and every single one of them have a weapon on the face of the card that magically blinks into existence and into the hand of the creature who drew the card. Once a weapon is picked you are under a blood curse with that weapon that states that if you use any other weapon besides your fists, you will immediately drop to the equivalent of the negative amount of your max HP +1 effectively leaving you in a state close to actual death. Roll a d20 to see which weapon you draw and look at that numbers assigned weapon. Once the combat is over, the weapon dissipates and is reintroduced back into the deck for a chance to draw it again at a later date. Nothing short of a wish spell or direct intervention of a higher God can remove the weapon from your possession during battle without incurring the penalties associated with doing so.
A nat 1 are Gloves with padding on them. They do no damage unless you roll a Nat 20 to hit, in which case it does 1 non magical bludgeoning damage. User cannot take them off for the duration of the combat since they are magically bonded to your hands.
A nat 20 is The Warhammer of the Meteors Impact. This Warhammer grants a +15 to hit to itβs wielder. On a successful hit the target takes 10d6 Magical Bludgeoning damage + 6d6 Fire damage + 6d6 Thunder damage.
Any comments, critiques, and suggestions are welcomed. Please help me fill the other 18 slots.
So Iβve loved alpha legion since the beginning but hated chaosβ βlook at our spikes we are the bad guysβ aesthetic so Iβve melded 30k alpha legion into a 40k army, obviously this is casual and my friends love fighting it cuz itβs different.
So I have 2x10 man tactical squads, one melta/multi melta one plasma/plasma cannon, 2x5 man devastator squad using volkite culverins (using the rules of the dreadnought one but halving the shots cuz itβs not twin linked like the dread ones), a sicaran venator, 5 lernaean terminators with power axes and volkite chargers, and alpharius (using some 8th ed fan rules I found).
Thatβs the army, for army traits I utilise the mutable tactics rule from 30k but obviously not all apply so only really use infiltrate, tank hunter or stealth really but still enough to vary playstyle how alpha legion I feel should.
I am running this as a firstborn army as in my mind alpha legion would never have gotten the primaris re-enforcement, if you have any tips for units to add that would flavour up or help me itβd be very appreciated, Iβm not too knowledgeable on firstborn units so kinda just rolling with what Iβve got.
Like are the gb and gba emulators decent enough to play through them smoothly? Sorry for the noob questions lol
This was my first time trying to home brew and create a race. These traits are made by modifying the halfling race and by using other references i was able to pull from online. Let me know what you guys think and if there is maybe something i can change, thanks(:
Home-brewed Leprechaun Race
Leprechauns are short, gold loving fey creatures and by rumor are said to be descendants from halflings and pixies. Leprechauns believe strongly in the power of luck and take a liking to charms and/or good luck tokens that theyβve collected over the years. Leprechauns will tend to push their luck in pursuit of mischief and practical jokes. Acting on a whim, leprechauns pay little regard to the consequences of their actions knowing or believing they can slip by trouble, whether it be by charismatic diplomacy or a quick nimble escape.
Alignment: Leprechauns are generally independent and love playing tricks on others. They tend to lean toward a chaotic neutral alignment and are rarely good or evil.
Ability Score Increase: Charisma +2, Intelligence +1
Age: You mature and age similar to a human rate and can live up to 300 years old.
Size: On average you are 3 feet tall and weigh about 40 LBS. Your size is small.
Speed: base walking speed is 25 feet.
Lucky: When you roll a 1 using a D20 for an attack roll, ability check or saving throw, you can refill the die as use the new roll.
Fey Ancestry: You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed and magic canβt put you to sleep.
Nimble Leprechaun: You can move through a space occupied by a creature that is larger than your size.
Legacy of the Lucky: You know the Prestidigitation cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the spell Color Spray at 1st level once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast Misty Step once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
Languages: You can speak and write in both Common and Slyvan.
I brewed a belgian dubbel a few months ago and was happy with the result. I used Wyeast 1214: Belgian Style Abbey Ale, which is apparently sourced from the Chimay brewery in Belgium.
Although I didn't intend on it being a clone recipe, I wanted to compare against a professional Belgian Dubbel to see how it held up. The Chimay Red had a bigger body, slightly richer, and a higher abv at 7% compared to my 6.4%.
Overall, success.
So I was fucking about with my friends last night and we began making a home brew mech, eventually we decided "this would just be good as a Balor variant, scrapped 80% of the license and were left with this:
HORUS Balor Alt Frame: Tarrasque
Paracausal Armor: the Tarrasque's armor applies to all effects, including AP damage or effects that would normally ignore armor and resistance.
Infinite Hunger: you can use a quick action to consume an enemy wreck. Consuming a wreck this way grants you 1d3+1 Overshield.
Slow: Agi difficulty
Heavy Frame: you cannot be pushed, pulled, knocked back, or knocked prone by characters smaller than yourself.
HP 8, Size 3, Eva 6, Edef 8, Armor 2, 6 SP, Save Target 12, Tech Attack +1, Speed 2, Heat cap 4
Passive: when you Grapple a target, you may use an additional quick action to force the target to pass a Hull save, and on failure they are Immobilized and share your space. Other characters do not have Line of Sight to the target, and it does not have Line of Sight to any character other than you. As well, effects that target your space do not affect a swallowed character. You cannot make Ranged or Melee attacks against the target. The target can still take actions, and can make a Hull Save as a Full Action to attempt to wriggle free. On failure, the target takes 2 Burn. The target takes 1d6+2 On success, the character is no longer Immobilized and is placed in a free space adjacent to the Tarrasque, then moves up to its Speed away from the Tarrasque, ignoring Engagement and Reactions. You can only swallow one character at a time. If a character dies while swallowed this way, you are granted 1d3+1 Overshield.
Active: protocol to activate, gain the following action: as a quick action upon killing an enemy with a Melee Attack, you swallow your enemy's corpse. swallowing a corpse this way grants 1 Armor. The maximum increase from this effect cannot exceed 8. Armor granted this way lasts until the end of the scene.
yeah, its Balor but it eats people, the lore is its a very rare misprint.
balance suggestions we already got:
Change 4OS per size of wreck, caps at 12.
When Core Power is active, gain +1 armor. Stops gaining armor at 8? Also gain 6 overshield per size eaten. You can freely drag around partially eaten wrecks

Hereβs a rough overview of how the travel roles will work. Each player will select an activity from this list: . Navigate, Forage, Scout, Keep Watch, Map, None/other
Based on what they choose I would roll a check or otherwise compare a stat to a DC for the activity based on environment, etc.
Hereβs what I want to do with the macro: . >Hit a tray button to open prompt
>Select activity from drop down for each character
>enter DCs for the activities as needed in a subsequent or same prompt
>macro outputs a single or series of whispered result(s) to the chat
The output might look as follows: . -Party navigates to hex off by one from target
-Party forages 2 food/supply resources
-Party scouts adjacent terrain type including landmarks
-Party has advantage against surprise/traps
-Party maps navigated and scouted hexes but fails to map terrain type
Any help appreciated, even if itβs just how to do a small part of this. I could use a starting point!
I just started my first online campaign as a player and everyone has really cool character portraits, but I do not!
The character is male, mid to late 40s. He is bald with a salt and pepper beard, looks just like a human but has no eyes, or even eye sockets. In their place, he has tattoos of his eyes.
If you have any questions just DM me and ill happily clear anything up.
I would be so happy with anything! Thank you to anyone who can help me out
If my party dies I want a mechanic where they have to climb the layers of hell to get back to a pivotal moment in the battle before it started going south (if it does) and I was wondering if there was any way β short of thoroughly figuring out how the layers of hell work and their attitudes and dispositionsβ I could easily get a good idea on how to do this? As an idea Iβve heard Descent Into Avernus is a prewritten story about saving a city in hell... do you think I could βlore spinβ or redo sections of it that and make it work? If anyone has experience with it, what parts stand out to you as needing the changes? Iβd really appreciate it, as Iβd like for it to be a TPK-protection mechanic for our narrative driven world.
Thanks in advance anyone and everyone!
