How did you learn about HMHS Britannic?
When I was in Grade 2 I saw a Sleeping Sun video about her and then saw clips from the 2000 TV Movie. At that age I was really into the Titanic and would watch scenes from the 1997 movie, so knowing about her sister ship was intriguing. I would explain to people my age at school about Britannic but they had absolutely no idea what I was talking about.
Up until 2016 (an 8 year period) when THG released their real-time sinking, I believed that Britannic struck the mine before dawn and then at the crack of dawn when the bridge submerged, she keeled over onto her starboard side and quickly sank.
Glad what THG did for Britannic and we can explore (parts of) the ship as they were in her HMHS configuration and what they would have looked like in her RMS configuration.

Thoughts about the HMHS Britannic's wreck
I've just been thinking about how obscenely lucky the wreck placement of the HMHS Britannic is, even if we had the mythical technology to raise the ship 100% unharmed it's actually better off where it is right now
Think about it, it's deep enough so currents, waves and storms can't damage it, ragtag divers can't rip the wreck apart for souvenirs and trinkets
but it's also close enough to the surface where coral can grow on the wreck giving it its own natural, self replicating preservant. Its also close enough to the surface where expeditions aren't too difficult so we can get expeditions to it more than once a year with crews who have the ships best interests at heart and maybe even (heavily controlled) tourism, also the bacteria killing Titanic can't grow on it either
The Britannic's wreck is going to go on for centuries or possible even millennia

Hey Ryan, you probably know what the Titanic is... but did you know that the Titanic had 2 sister ships? From left to right are the names of the vessels, as well as the order of when each was built. RMS Olympic. RMS Titanic. HMHS Britannic.

HMHS Britannic departing Moudros, sometime between 1915-1916. I like this photo especially because of the contrast between the battleship and the hospital ship, and because it highlights the fourth funnel as serving an alternate purpose to the first three.

TIL that when the British ambulance ship SS Donegal was sunk by a German submarine in 1917, two of her crew were survivors of the disasters on RMS Titanic and her sister ship HMHS Britannic. It was Archie Jewell's third sinking and John Priest's fifth!
