A list of puns related to "Heritage Management"
Starting next week and was wondering there was anyone else here as well?
Introduced: Sponsor: Rep. Tim Ryan [D-OH13]
This bill was referred to the House Committee on Natural Resources which will consider it before sending it to the House floor for consideration.
However, I'm having something of a crisis of faith, wondering about the utility of pursuing such a qualification.
I originally wanted my focus to be on how to improve energy efficiency and sustainability in the heritage sector, but in light of exploring the topic of collapse I feel that this is a little short-sighted, and there are a tonne of people in the sector already working at these challenges.
In a post-collapse UK our historic past will take on perhaps an even greater importance than before. We may look to the relative simplicity of the past for inspiration in moving forward, in reassessing our attitudes to work etc. We'll also need to be mindful of it in terms of looking at past instances of mass crisis and not turning to the usual refuges of sectarianism, cruelty and mean-spiritedness. We may need to incorporate historic building practices into our modern infrastructure. There are all sorts of ways to think about it, but I'm struggling with staying motivated. Basically what I'm hoping for is some discussion/advice on how best to proceed.
Is this simply not something worth pursuing? Is it something that's even more important than it was before?
Love and best wishes.
(I checked the rules and this doesn't seem to be a breach of them but if it is I apologise.)
No help or communication from WNY Holdings, LLC until a month after the hurricane.
Four days after Hurricane Michael, they sent some office staffers and a maintenance guy to all their properties to post a note that stated, "You have 72 hours to leave because the buildings are condemned." It was a lie and most likely an attempt to cash in on their insurance claim.
No city inspection was conducted yet and WNY Holdings did not even have their insurance company assess the property damage.
A manager from WNY Holdings contacted Gulf Power and had every tenant's service discontinued. (Illegal; Self-help eviction)
On several occasions, suspicious persons who were claiming to be 'maintenance' were going into people's apartments while tenants were at work or gone during the day. WNY Holdings did not give any notice that they would be entering apartments. They did not leave behind notice stating a reason why they entered apartments. They would not give out an office phone number to call and verify who they are and that they actually belong on the property. They opened up all of the apartment windows and turned the lock key dial to the top so that the apartment door could only be opened with a master key.
There has been three robberies just in the last week. Management entered apartments while tenants were gone again. They did not secure the windows or door locks.
