[TOMT][MOVIE][2000s onward] A man is injured and told by someone (either in an earpiece or as a figment of his imagination) to press a button to activate a machine to continue pumping his heart or lungs before he passes out.

I feel like this was at the end of a chase or action scene, although I'm getting BBC's Sherlock, John Wick, or Dredd kind of vibes from it.

It is not Casino Royale (the James Bond film) but that scene did remind me of it. The main difference being that in the movie I'm thinking of the machine works when he presses the button.

Any help would be great. It's not important, but it has been stuck in my head for a good few days.

Edit: it could have also been a TV show.

The person speaking to him could have been toying with him. Like the villain who doesn't actually want him to die.
