This insect on a leather chair in my living room; put it on a napkin. ~6mm long. Looks like some kind of louse or a human head louse (my sister had lice about 8 years ago and we havenβt moved since) but they donβt walk well on flat surfaces. I squished it, brown liquid stained the napkin like blood

[Cork, Ireland] I want to try and identify this small insect. We found it in our bathroom and want to find out if it is a head louse, or another kind of louse. I think its book lice or bark lice but I'd like to try and find out more.
