Ok I know not many people are gonna like this post, but does anyone else think this series is MASSIVELY overrated.
Let me elaborate the parts about the GSK are amazing but I donβt know if this is just me but the Michelle McNamara bits just annoy me and distract me from this documentary, no offence but I really just donβt care about her life which is what this documentary is half about and it takes away from the enjoyment of the documentary because nobody wants to watch a documentary about the most prolific serial offender to walk this earth in my opinion but half of it is just about some random womenβs life.
I had the same problem with Netflixβs Night Stalker documentary but at least the detectives focused on in documentary actually relate to the case mostly which minimises the distraction mostly, but with il be gone in the dark I feel it focuses just way to much on her life.
Iβm on Season 1 Episode 7 and I have laughed at every episode so far. It is dry comedy so beware. Every performance in this show is amazing. It honestly reminds me of Arrested Development, just with the White House involved. Donβt do yourself a disservice by not watching it. Itβs amazing and truly a classic from what Iβve seen. Canβt wait to continue the adventure.

I binged it myself last year (first time watcher) and absolutely loved it. One of my all time favorite binges. So many great characters and storylines. They're always introducing something new and everything ends up tying back together. Just when you think it can't get any crazier it does and my mind was blown multiple times. Brilliant writing and some of the best cast chemistry I've seen. Jackson and Torv are great as the leads, but John Noble steals the show as Walter Bishop. Honestly one of the greatest performances I've ever seen.
Edit: Looks like the HBO Max twitter account got ahead of themselves and announced it for today, but it's being added on the 15th.
Hey everyone!
With Ludwigβs recent move to YouTube, it is clearer than ever that DMCA Copyright will continue to negatively affect live streamers, with things getting progressively worse over time.
To help protect the Twitch community, I decided to quit my job in order to do something to help. After over a year of full-time development, I am ready to bring some good news for once regarding DMCA!
I made an extension called Tenami that works like BetterTTV that extends Twitchβs watch party feature to include support for Netflix, Disney+, Crunchyroll, HBO Max, and YouTube watch parties. You can try it out here:
https://www.tenami.tv/
Tenami works where, once you have the extension installed, you can join Netflix, HBO Max, etc., watch parties across all of Twitch just like how you already would join an Amazon Prime Video watch party.
In the spirit of LSF, here is a short clip of what a Tenami Watch Party looks like, featuring Twitch personality NymN hosting a Netflix watch party of Riotβs Arcane just ahead of his New Yearβs show.
Tenami ensures that all viewers are watching content legally from the source and fully protects Twitch streamers from DMCA Copyright claims. For stream setup, Tenami uses the exact same setup as Twitchβs watch party feature for Prime Video. If you need help, you can also follow this guide.
Since my previous post in July, the full theater mode is now available directly from the extension, along with Disney+ support and a completely overhauled Crunchyroll watch party experience to look like Netflix and Prime Video.
We are working to improve Tenami every day, and Iβd love to hear your feedback! We have some awesome new features staged for next month that I canβt wait to share with you all.
Please feel free to ask any questions and I will be happy to answer them!

Apart from the "human drama" that is to be necessary for a TVshow?
Would you say that it was "authentic"? There were a lot of lines regarding the faces of music buiz. The "street couple" with a keyboard and violin. The trombone player pounding his horn for paying the bills. The nephew BeBop trumpet player who was trying to make it in other capitals but "came home". The club owner with a tie to heritaged voodoo ceramonies. They had even McCoy Tyner for a cameo....
How close was all of that?
Any New Orleans (or close) folks are up to comment?
Sorry I wasnβt sure if non-Netflix posts were allowed yet but I just finished it and I couldnβt wait to recommend it.
This show is a 10-episode limited series based on the 2014 bestselling novel by Emily St. John Mandel. From the description:
> This post-apocalyptic saga follows the survivors of a devastating flu as they attempt to rebuild and reimagine the world anewβwhile holding onto the best of whatβs been lost.
I found this story incredibly beautiful. The casting for this is amazing and every episode drew me in. It reminds me a bit of The Leftovers (HBO 2014) and Les Revenants (2012). I havenβt had a show grip me like this in such a long time!
