A list of puns related to "Handcar"
The first of two minigames with the initials βHHβ and the second H being βHavocβ. And it was like that in MP2 as well!
Todayβs minigame is Handcar Havoc (MP 1/2).
Call me weird but i have always wanted to operate one as kind of a bucket list. Seems like it would be fun.
I remember the title mentioning something about chickens riding with them on the train car. I don't recall it being very long, just a POV from the handcar and the old railroad tracks around the area.
TL;DR - Handcar tour is coming in July (30 days only), it's a workout, but fun as hell, even if you aren't in the best shape of your life. Go to handcar.com and get on their mailing list as the slots will probably fill up. $25 per person (I think), worth it.
So the family (me, wife, daughter (9)) have been volunteering with Bruce Delgado (Marina Mayor, cool guy) a couple days recently doing cleanup along the railway lines in anticipation of the Handcar Tours that are coming this Summer. Last week, Bruce reached out to our family asking if we wanted to take a test drive! Umm, where do I sign?
So we signed up for the 12:45pm slot on Saturday and immediately hit some hurdles because their website basically said stuff like, "Each participant must be at least 46 inches tall and under 275 pounds." (I'm a hair over one of those numbers), and "...When choosing your team you will want to consider the physical capability and limitation of your team members. If you do not exercise regularly, then the six mile route may be difficult for you."
Well the wife is out, she has back issues. I'm borderline (was physically amazing, now I'm a potato). So my daughter invited her friend and dad to pair up with us figuring his dad was a total ringer (bicyclist). A couple emails to the Clarks and despite their trepidation and curiosity (if we could even do it with 2 kids, a normie, and a potato), and we were in!
Show up, beautiful day, light cloud cover so you still got sunburned, but not hot as hell. After a quick sign your life away, we were ready to go. At this point my daughters, friends, father informed us that he had bit the dust on his bike 3 weeks ago and had bruised ribs. One pull on the handle and he noped the hell out of there. Friend's mom tagged in. She's light, and athletic, so we "should be" fine. The Clarks told us, "Well, if you don't make it up the first grade we'll just lower you back down." Such confidence!
That first hill, they were not kidding, but everyone will be happy to know, we made it! We also are happy to report that if you make it up the first hill, you are good to go for the rest of the trip, only 1 more moderate (long) hill, and the rest is coasting and downhill (super fun).
The route takes you about 3 miles south, around a loop and back on the same track in about 90 minutes, and it is so much fun. The carts are super
... keep reading on reddit β‘Just a heads up, handcar tours are now available! I saw someone posting about it recently, and they sent a promo saying they are opening earlier than expected.
Anyways, looks like fun to me and I thought Iβd remind everyone.

It would work like in Red Dead Online, you activate the handcar and your are given a list of the train stations. at that point you are "fast travelled" to the destination station without having to pay for it.
Come to think of it I could probably rig a mod for this up in a couple of hours but alas, I have to ask benevolent Beth for this.
