My two paises worth of opinion on the recent affairs in BLR/HYD and how relaxed it has been in Delhi NCR (Gurgaon and Delhi) at the same time :
It was never dry at all in Delhi and Gurgaon during my stay there from Aug'21 to Nov'21. Me and my buddies had 3 variants of ganja and 2 variants of hash and acid on us almost always. This was due to many sources available to us.
My ganja dealer was from Saket and he used to deliver all around NCR throughout the day. Once while speaking to him on the phone, he had mentioned how one of his errand boys got caught by cops with delivery meant ganja on his bike but the dealer was pretty chilled out while narrating this and said that he was going to get his guy out with a bribe of a lakh rupees.
I have been high outdoors a lot, smoked up in remote streets/parking lots etc. Most often the only way you get in trouble with the cops is if you are caught smoking up in public and most often, bribery gets you off the hook.
I feel that policing in general is relaxed in Delhi. The reason can be that the police in other states are literally the state themselves. In Delhi, the police are under the Govt of India and the State of Delhi does not have its own law enforcement.
With that said, ganja does tend to be more expensive in Delhi and there may be many other cons but definitely not one of dry spells/policing.
Note : I do not have any experience/information about Chennai.

Friend was looking for a 2bhk flat in Navi Mumbai area in a decent society with amenities and building age less than 5 years or possession within a year The rates we got was astonishing considering the present situation.
Nerul - Upwards of 2 crores, the LnT one is costing above 2.2 crores that too possession in 2024.
Kharghar - Again some projects (Bhagwati greens )are quoting 2 cr+ while others are also quoting 1.5 cr +
Brokers said that unlike central and western Mumbai outskirts, Navi Mumbai real estate prices aren't depended on Mumbai prices .
The brokers are quite desperate for a sale., but many owners are not reducing their flat prices as they themselves have bought at a higher rate in pre covid era.
While on the other side, the builder office didn't even have the courtesy to take our contact details. , Are people really buying at such rates in covid times
Introduction
I saw a request for a recap of this drama in the scuffles thread, and since I lived through it and avidly followed it in highschool, I figured it was my time to shine. However, I would like to add a caveat: I am not really into football (American or otherwise). I followed this as a local story of interest, and will be writing from that perspective.
If you would like to read further, I recommend this espn article on the topic, which looks at this story more from a league politics perspective. I used this, this wikipedia article and our local paper (the St. Louis Post-Dispatch) to confirm elements of my memory, particularly in regards to dates.
Background: The St. Louis Region
There are a few salient facts about the St. Louis region that need to be communicated in order to understand this story. The first is that St. Louis is a sports-mad city. We currently have the Cardinals, the Blues, and are supposedly getting an MLS team in the near future. In St. Louis, instead of getting a pan pizza for completing your reading challenge at school, you get Cardinals tickets. Our XFL team (RIP, or possibly not?) the Battlehawks, was supposedly the most successful in the league. So (foreshadowing...) you may understand why the city was collectively up in arms about some of the things that were said later in this story.
Second, in St. Louis there is a strong divide between St. Louis city and county. The city is very poor, due to laws that caused it to stop expanding an incorporating suburbs unusually early (circa 1880). However, the city is very proud of it's cultural attractions and multiethnicity. The county is much more wealthy, and tends to look down on the city as full of crime. This leads to huge amounts of tension between the two areas. I grew up in South City but went to private school, and remember as a kid having friends who had never been in the city in their lives.
Finally, Missouri seems to have a tradition of producing right-wing billionaires with a penchant for insane sports fantasies. One of these is Rex Sinquefield, who is currently attempting to turn St. Louis into some kind of Chess mecca (we now have a Chess museum, 2 giant chess
... keep reading on reddit β‘With Western Australia (WA) recording a positive case of coronavirus (COVID-19) and a number of WA areas entering lockdown from 6:00pm WA time on Sunday 31 January, Victoriaβs Chief Health Officer has declared the following:
As of 9:00pm Victorian (AEDT) time on Sunday, 31 January, the Perth metropolitan area, the Peel region and the South West region of WA have moved from a green zone to a red zone under Victoriaβs βtraffic lightβ travel permit system.
This time aligns with the WA Governmentβs stay at home orders for Perth metropolitan area, Peel region and South West region of WA. Anyone who is travelling from these red zones after 9pm is in breach of the WA Governmentβs own stay at home directions.
If you have been in one of these currently listed red zones since 25 January, you will not be allowed to enter Victoria without an exception, exemption or permitted worker permit.
Victorians who attempt to enter Victoria from a red zone via an airport or seaport will be fined up to $4,957 and will be required to quarantine at home for 14 days.
Non-Victorians travelling from a red zone attempting to enter Victoria via an airport or seaport will be fined up to $4,957 and will be placed in Hotel Quarantine until arrangements are made to return home at their own expense.
The rest of Western Australia outside of the red zone areas of the Perth metropolitan area, the Peel region and the South West region remain green zones.
People travelling from a green zone can apply for a permit to enter Victoria if they have not been in a currently listed red zone or orange zone since 25 January (other than for transit), have not been in close contact with a coronavirus (COVID-19) case and do not have any coronavirus (COVID19) symptoms. On arrival in Victoria, they must monitor for symptoms and abide by local directions.
People who have arrived in Victoria from WA red zones between Monday, 25 January 2021 and 9:00pm on Sunday, 31 January will be required to isolate, get tested within 72 hours of arriving (or as soon as possible if they have arrived more than 72 hours ago) and remain self-isolated until they receive a negative test result.
The Department will be contacting people who have arrived in Victoria from Western Australia between 25 January and 31 January to advise them to isolate, get test and stay isolated until they receive a negative test result.
This is in place until further notice. The Chief Health Officer will continue monit
