So from the movie list of my online friend i finally watched the grave of fireflies and the emotions the emotions in that movie chico they touched the heart. Its not a romantic movie its a war movie how the war affected the families and trust me when i say its a beautiful movie. Its the only movie I've cried senseless while watching and i dont cry while watching movies coz in the corner of my mind its always going on that they are just acting but not this one. This one hit the feels Did anyone else have watched it. Please share ur experience if u did.

Maia rested in the twilight between sleeping and awake, slowly spinning through the eddies of what is known and what is imagined. She spent every night like this now, the living facsimile of an old painting that had burned along with the Earth - a painting of a sky swirled with clouds and stars and moon and dreams.
She slid free from her oil-sheen world and into the pre-dawn of the crater-and-rubble battlefield. The sudden movement of her giant mechanical suit breathed life into the rest of the camp. Lumbering armor took their positions. Antlike bodies swarmed from one-man sleeping trenches. As Maia climbed the great pile of shattered concrete that had once been a hospital, she heard chanting and the thumping of boots and rifle stocks.

It had been a slur when she first joined, arriving at boot camp with her moko so fresh it was practically still bleeding. The chin tattoo conveyed an officerโs lineage. To wear it as a mere recruit marked her as a tryhard, a pretender, a liar. She took the abuse, gave it back when necessary, and barely noticed when they stopped calling her โChiefโ and started treating her like one.

Primal screams and grunts mixed with the words. Maia saw the bulging eyes, puffed out cheeks, and fat tongues of the warriors as they called for their enemies. The sky to her right went sherbert just as she reached the top of the ruins. Below, a half-million Xelsx carapaces glinted in the pre-dawn light, the bugs waiting for the sun to unsheathe their swords and descend on the fifty thousand defenders.
Maia knew what it meant to be assigned to one of the few hundred Pyrrhic Zones scattered throughout humanspace. The Xelsx could not bypass an enemy. They had no concept of โbuying timeโ or "strategic targets". They couldnโt comprehend that an enemy would sacrifice warriors while shifting their manufacturing from โweapons of honorโ to plague bombs for use against the Xelsx fleets and homeworlds.
Maia felt her world swirl again. Present and past, warrior and chief, fighter and mother...todayโs defeat and tomorrowโs victory. The sun was about to rise, yet she walked once more in twilight. It was here that she preferred to live, to fight, and to die.
She raised the mechโs arms, a massive, carbon-fiber spear clamped tightly in its hands.

I mean I guess within the context of a sports match or an actual war I can somewhat tolerate it, but seeing that video of people sticking out their tongues at a wedding just makes me cringe.
It is a stupid dance without any purpose aside from people going "oh woah, such beautiful culture. Imagine if they were behind you and fully erect, how much would you shit your pants?" The haka to me is the Instagram post of dances.
I totally the purpose of a Haka. It's intimidating. Before you they used to kill each other. I also get it before sports matches.
I do NOT get it when they do it before weddings, funerals, honoring some political official, cutting the ribbon before opening a hospital, birthday parties, and everything else I see on youtube.
