I don't know if it's correct. This is just what I think
Her lack of empathy has shocked me less and less over time, but maaan, this one really hit the fan.
My second aunt and 2 uncles grew up with a narcissistic mother and an enabling father (my grandpa's brother). The daughter was the scapegoat. She lived in a 2Γ3 metres small room until 18 and was generall treated like a pile of dirt.
The 2 boys were super spoiled materialistically. Otherwise they were pressured to be overachievers. All 3 had to perform. Always.
So, they all got a big share of traumas from their parents growing up. And what did my nMom say to that: "They (aunt and uncles) just wouldn't say no!"
She gives these 3 the full blame for everything their parents put them through because they didn't say "No" as children/teenagers.
It just pisses me off so much, especially after she seemed so sympathatic toward my second aunt all the years before. But no, apparently she deserved it...
Context: Chudail is a mythical or legendary creature resembling a woman, which may be a demoniacal revenant said to occur in South Asia and Southeast Asia, particularly popular in India, Bangladesh and Pakistan. The churel is typically described as "the ghost of an unpurified living thing", but because she is often said to latch on to trees, she is also called a tree-spirit. They are said to have backward feet.
In the early 1970s, My granduncle had got a government job with Varanasi's civic body (in Uttar Pradesh, India) that was far away from his home in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Being young and unmarried, he rented a small house near his office and started living alone. At night, he used to stroll around the banks of river Ganges. One such night, he heard a woman crying. Upon looking around, he found an old woman in white saree, sobbing alone under a tree (just like a cliche bollywood horror movie). The woman told him she was a widow (widow women have to wear white) and that she had been abandoned by his son under the influence of his wife. My granduncle, being a kind fellow told the woman she could come home with him and do the household chores like cooking, cleaning etc.
The woman happily accepted. My great- grandma wasn't impressed by what my granduncle did and warned him to keep an eye on the woman. The initial few days passed without any incident, but things soon took a dark turn. The woman did all the household chores decently, but my granduncle found the food cooked by her to be abysmal in taste. The food increasingly got inedible and he even complained about the quality of food to her, but in vain. One day, he decided to spy on her. Instead of leaving for the office, he hid in a corner and peeked into the window while the old woman while preparing food. What he saw inside was blood curdling. The old woman was preparing dough. She was mixing her own shit with the dough and was kneading it with her feet. And her feet were turned BACKWARDS!
As soon as the woman noticed my granduncle's presence, she disappeared. Granduncle says h

I feel so, so icky.
Before I left Facebook, I followed all the pages supporting domestic violence survivors, and after DNA testing Ancestry threw this in my lap. His surname seems an apt bastardization of Dethmer/Dithmer...
Hi guys,
I was tracing back my family history and I am not sure what to call this person:
My Great Great Granduncle's grandson. (Great Great Grandfather's brother's son's son)
Would they be like a 3rd cousin or something?
Thanks so much!
I know he wrote something along the lines of "82nd Artillery..."

I know it sounds stupid but basically a great granduncle called William Dixon, Hartlepool, was arrested in 1926 for shooting a firearms at a police constable. He got a paltry 3 years in jail. What information would they hold? I found a prison entry record but not much else.
I have a granduncle, William βBillβ Esra Southern, who died the day before his 26th birthday when he was electrocuted while trimming trees near Burlington, Indiana, on 6 May 1940. I have very little information on him, but feel like Iβm on the cusp of learning more about him, and Iβm hoping I might get some search tips.
He was born on 7 May 1914 (Crawfordsville, Montgomery, Indiana) to David βDaveβ Allen Southern and Maud Thompson Southern. After Billβs mother Maud allegedly left her family in Indiana and returned to Kentucky alone, Dave and his kids were living with Daveβs parents William Jackson Southern and Elizabeth Bethel Ann Miller Southern, possibly around 1919 (the year 1919 is from family stories, but Bill and family show up in the 2020 census Daveβs parents). Sometime after 1920, Billβs sister Eula went to live with Clinton and Blanche Beck (neighbors according to 1920 census). They raised her to adulthood.
In 1933, Bill was recruited into the Civilian Conservation Corps for service in forestry and reclamation sites (article in 4 Nov 1933 Journal and Courier of Lafayette, Indiana). I just discovered this news article, and Iβm hopeful that the National Archives might have personnel records on him.
In the meantime, Iβm wondering if there are ways to search CCC documents where I might be able to unearth more information. Even general details about training at Fort Knox at that time would be something. Iβve also never been able to find Bill in the 1930 census, which I suspect could also be illuminating.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Today I'd like to tell a short story about my granduncle during World War 2 which my grandma (my granduncle's younger sister) told me
She told me that around 1943 my grandma's family lived in Perak and there was a shortage of rice, due to the Japanese soldiers around the area taking most of it. At that point one of their family members had died from malnutrition, so my great-grandfather and his neighbour decided to steal rice from a Japanese family that had moved into the neighborhood after Singapore had fallen. However another neighbor that knew about this was collaborating with the Kempeitai (Japanese military police) and informed them. The neighbor was taken away and my grandma's family hid in the jungle
After a few days they encountered a small group of MPAJA (Malayan People's Anti-Japanese Army) guerillas who were on patrol and followed them. Soon after my grandma's family took refuge with the guerillas at the camp and my granduncle and a couple of his siblings, who had already been beaten and bullied by the Japanese soldiers for not bowing low enough joined the MPAJA (I assume it was the 5th regiment as it was operating in Perak at the time)
My grandma told me that on one occasion, my granduncle, his siblings and a couple of his friend's were lying in the bush on the side of a road and after a few hours they encountered a Japanese tank and saw the cupola was open. One of them threw a grenade into the turret and it exploded, according to my grandma as the Japanese soldiers tried to climb out of the tank my granduncle and his friend open fired at them and ran back into the jungle soon after, leaving the bodies behind
After the war he left the MPAJA and a few years later the Malayan Emergency started. He lived a long life and passed away in the early 2000s
That explains why they didnβt banish Zero like they did with Belial. They are just all related and use their ultra nepotism to make a career.
Pls cheer me up
