I didn't want to put Homulily in the title because it felt too spoilery for people who have only seen the anime, but it's mostly about her. I think that I get the rest of the symbolism about Homura's witch form, the red spider lilies are poisonous and associated with death, the stretchy arms trying to slow her down symbolize her will to live, the chopped off head and the guillotine symbolize her self-sacrifice to keep Kyubey away from Madoka.
But why is there a gramophone coming out of Homulily's butt?
If I had to guess, I'd say that the same way that a gramophone in theory can play any sound but in practice can only reproduce what is stored in a disc over and over, Homura in theory can use her magic to achieve her goals but in practice can only relive the same failure over and over. It fits with how there's a record player vanishing right at the end of the movie, when Homura is switching from being constrained by the rules set by Kyubey to being above those rules. But it's still so weird, I don't remember Homura ever being so deeply associated with gramophones, just hourglasses.
An example if you need one being Devils New by Sparklehorse. Thanks in advance.
So the new update added the gramophone, so I wanted to see if there were any secrets around the cabin. What I found is this- if you put in the usual 11 o' clock into the clock, it now gives a code of 116, which you use on the safe to find a disc with a hexagon on it!
I don't know if it has any relevance at the moment, but it's the first secret I've ever found without a guide in this game so I wanted to share :D
Hi everyone,
I'm a Year 12 Design and Technology student in Sydney, and for my major work, I want to create a record player console. As a callback to the original design of the gramophone, I want to include horns with speakers in them. My thinking was to use tweeters in these, and suspend the subs below them, however, I'm worried that the audio is gonna sound like shit. I know that horns, or resonance chambers in general, are a big no, and having your record player and speakers on the same table is a big no, but this seems to be the only way forward. I've tried to wrap my head around how to ensure this will work, but I just don't know enough. Any help will be appreciated.
Cheers.

How can I get that vinyl crackle sound?
New gramophone puzzle came out today. Just wanted to share what I've found and see if anyone has figured it out.
>!Definitely possible this just adds the ability to change the song, but with inscryption you never know.!<
Of course, Strahd is much more than a vampire and a Count. Canonically, he's a warlord, an accomplished wizard and a prince (and a narcissistic asshole). However, I had the thought he could be a researcher and a scientist as well. He's had hundreds of years and all the wealth and resources he could accumulate in that time, so it's fitting for him to have picked up a hobby or two between Tatyana incarnations and hunting adventurers.
This idea was mostly inspired by Castlevania's titular vampire Vlad Tepes, whose entire castle was a technological marvel capable of teleportation. The idea of Strahd inventing steampunk-esque devices in a medieval world would highlight his intelligence and spark interesting discussions over dinner with the PC's, no doubt. The idea of him checking his pocket watch before arriving to kick their asses has me giddy with excitment as well :). I specifically had the idea of Strahd the astronomer because the sky of Barovia is no longer connected with the world, of course. Strahd musing sadly over the loss of the stars might make him seem more sympathetic and relatable. Of course, this musing is just a ruse. Strahd has gained quite some knowledge of the borders of his prison, and in my campaign he has started to magically probe at the seams of Barovia. His plan is to destabilise his domain so much that it lands back on the Material Plane, both out of a desire to be freed and to see the stars again with Ireena by his side, vampire or not. He is still a deep admirer of Barovia and its beauty as well, so he sees it as returning the land to its rightful place. Ironically, by tearing at the seams, all kinds of extraplanar beings are leaking into Barovia, beings that warp reality and certainly don't care about its perceived beauty. And of course, the Dark Powers would not let him cross Barovia's borders, so even if he succeeds with returning Barovia he'll be stuck there.
Anyways, have you ever gone on a massive tangent? Making Strahd a researcher makes him seem more human, more sympathetic. In reality however, he will always be a monster. His side projects and creations are always half-finished or abandoned, or dangerous and harmful entities which he carelessly releases in the Svalich woods. It suits the idea that a vampire is never satisfied, no matter how much they drink or do.
Other ideas I had for Steampunk Strahd were magi-biological experiments (like the Abbot's, but less Frankenstein and more Forgemaster(Castlevania)), an observa

I found several Promo 78s in my records box, all of which are light flexible vinyl and all from the 1940s and 1950s
My Grandpa told me Gramophones will DESTROY vinyl, as he tried it with 45s he didn't care about,
So how would promos have been played before Three Speed Players came along?
It's in the patch notes for 0.24. Does anyone know what it does?
