A list of puns related to "Goggle Box"
I've never tried using them and I've never really had an issue with my box goggles. Curious why the pros use those binoc goggles over box goggles.
I tried a friend's pair of Fat Sharks and didn't like them, and my own pair of cheapo box goggles doesn't fit my glasses. Guy at the local hobby store suggested Headplay goggles, but I'd like to have diversity as well.
Edit: I just had an idea. Are there any box goggles that can take RX modules like Rapidfires or Fusions?
Edit 2: cobra x has module bay
I saw this clip in another video which was just using it as background and I feel like I recognise it. Dude's got these 3 distinctive lines on top of his headpiece, and bits of fabric flying in the wind at the back of his clothes. Really been bugging me for a while now.
Hi, so I just got my first pair of slim goggles. I'm going from Skyzone Cobra X to Skyzone 04L. The transition is not exactly what I expected. Having to kinda unfocus my eyes to get the two images to merge. That part is ok, but some parts of the image still seem a bit blurry, mainly the OSD text. And I'm having some trouble seeing the top of the screen. Maybe the head strap isn't fitting properly. Does anyone want to chime in with tips or your own experiences to help me out here. Any input is welcome. βοΈ
Did anyone else watch the girls on gogglebox? I thought they were hilarious but they didnβt talk to much so I was disappointed and towards the end they were barely on. I think with the show they use people who talk the most during the show and say the funniest thing from each scene. I hope they return for another episode
You'll have to forgive my ignorance, because I'm not only new to FPV, but newish to glasses. I know my last(and first) prescription needs to be updated because it's about 2 years old; I've been putting off getting a new prescription because of COVID. I ordered a cheap-o pair of stronger generic reading glasses off Amazon and I can read easier with them, but the screen in the goggles is still blurry.
I just got a Tinyhawk II RTF bundle and initially thought that the screen just sucked, nope - it's my eyes.
I like to hear if anyone else has this issue and how they resolved it, do you use a stronger prescription than normal when wearing goggles?
I currently own a Fatshark Scout box goggles and even though I like them, my eyes kinda get strained if I am flying for a long time. My glasses unfortunately don't fit in the goggles either so I have to take them off while flying.
I'm thinking of moving to a goggle where I can adjust the IPD and focal distance. Budget is not an issue right now but I also wanna ensure that the issue I have will get solved if I upgrade.
Just wanted to know the opinion of people who have upgraded here and what their experience has been like. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
She cried in part because the colors were vibrant and magical, but mostly because the shadow demons she had tried to ignore since she was a girl were now a brilliant blood red.
Completely disregarding price, which do yall like better?
Do box goggles make you feel like you have to cross your eyes?
And what are some good fatshark style goggles for under/around $150?
Obviously goggles are pretty important for fpv and I want to buy a pair that will last me a while. I dont personally know anyone who does fpv nor do I have any hobby shops around me. I could really use your input.
Hey everyone, I have a pair of ev800ds and was thinking of going all in and upgrading to a pair of Dominator HDO2s with rapidfire but after doing more research I'm starting to have doubts. What exactly am I getting that's worth $600 extra? Yes rapidfire seems better than diversity for image quality (FYI I'm doing long range), fatsharks are higher quality, and I assume the picture looks better but I was shocked to see that the ev800ds had a higher fov! Like twice the viewing angle. Immersion is really important to me so why would I get the HDO2s if they're going to be less immersive? I'm aware some consider those goggles a rip-off so I'm open to other suggestions but given what I said why would I get any fatshark goggles for that matter?
Alas, I've decided to part with this lens as I simply cannot justify it with a Summicron 50mm DR. It's super clean for a lens of this age. The body is mint with practically no marks: exceptions include a small mark near the aperture ring (on top of the 3'6" and 4 markings), minor marks on the lens cap, and a few on the backside of the goggles.
DAG CLA'd the lens on 12/16/20 and found minor etching on the inner lens element. Per DAG himself, this doesn't detract from the image quality. Aside from this minor flaw, I haven't noticed any scratches or marks on the lens. The focus and diaphragm were great before, but are now like-new, as to be expected with DAG's work.

Hey gang, I've stuck with a shoddy Eachine VR006 for far too long and it's time to upgrade but I'm absolutely lost!
I mostly fly whoop-sized quads in and around the house, but also head out into nature to fly larger ones (not long range though)
I'd like smaller style goggles (haven't actually tried them before, but I hate these box ones).
Budget is important, although I'd invest for quality though I can't gauge value at all, I mean for example (UK prices):
Skyzone SKY02X @ Β£226 ($228) - Seems reasonable
Skyzone SKY03O @ Β£331 ($425) - Has OLED but so much more expensive, and an 04X out soon..
Fatshark Scout @ Β£157 ($200) - Boxy but cheaper
Fatshark HD3 @ Β£230 ($300) (second hand) - Are these too dated?
Fatshark HD0 2 @ Β£400+ ($520+) - Getting pretty expensive now
I've really no idea, and there are countless others so I can't figure out how much to spend or what on. Or do we just hold fire and wait for the digital revolution to kick in.
Any recommendations please! I'm leaning toward SKY03O if I can justify the huge price jump for OLED
Warming them reduces the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the lens, which is the cause of fogging. It also dries them when theyβre wet, further helping to reduce the chance of fogging.
