A list of puns related to "George Mason"
Basically I am planning on transferring to one of these colleges by Spring 2022, but I canβt decide since I live close to GMU, but heard that GMU is one of the unhappiest colleges in US, while I heard that JMU is a party school and good for social environment. I want to do business management degree and theatre minor. Which one would you guys would rather pick?
STILL possibly the single greatest game I've been to in ANY sport. My senior year at Mason.
It actually may have been the best game UCONN played that tournament; we were just a LITTLE better.
When Denham Brown missed the final shot, we (me and the other students in my section) weren't sure whether it had gone in; it took like a second or two.
With the recent amount of hate crimes going on against Asian Americans due to COVID-19, I've become more tied to my Asian American roots and wanted to learn more about the history of Asian Americans. I was wondering if there's an Asian American studies program at Mason?
Based on what I see online, there's just an Asia-Pacific and Northeast Asian Studies Minor, however, this is more focused on the history of Asia and not America. I've connected with alumni at the University of Maryland who demanded Asian American studies to be taught there and would like to incorporate the same thing for George Mason University.
I'll be connecting with different Asian organizations about this in the near future but would like thoughts from other students that would be interested in supporting this project, you don't have to be Asian American to participate or share your thoughts!
Business B.S. with a finance concentration.
Hey all,
With deposit deadlines approaching ,I figured I might as well ask for opinions on my current range of options. I do not necessarily have any preference between the Northeast and Virginia as far as where I end up living permanently. I find most areas of the law fascinating, and could conceivably see myself going into civil litigation, criminal law and procedure, health law, or any other number of subfields.
I am not a "BigLaw or bust" type, I just want to become a lawyer without becoming horribly burdened with debt in the process. Long-term financial well-being is important to me
Also, I am deliberately asking "what would you do?" because - in addition to wondering what you think would be best for me - I am genuinely curious as to what other people whose goals diverge either partially or entirely from my own would do given my options.
Hope you've all had a great (or at least minimally unpleasant) cycle, btw
So IPIX sent out a press release about the George Mason U in vitro results - not mentioned was synergistic suppression with Remdesevir. This seemed like it wasnβt earth shattering, so why the PR? Maybe setting up for a phase 3 study with a combination brilacidin/remdesevir arm?
Hello guys!!
I got admits for ms cs at George Mason other admits i have are UT dallas cs and Delaware ms data science. Considering huge intake of ut dallas this year and its tution i am thinking to join Mason for fall 2021 as there are lot of ta/ra opportunities here. But, i just want to know how is cs program at mason, student life, job/ internship opportunities for international students, on campus jobs etc. Is it worth to join Mason over UT Dallas?

Hi everyone! I was wondering if there may be any others on here that applied to GMU for the Fall cohort this year. Iβve seen on grad cafe that a few others had already received their admissions decision last Friday. However, I have not received any correspondence from them and have been checking my spam folders in case my email accidentally throws it to spam. Has anyone else not heard anything? It is making me nervous I havenβt heard anything back yet if others already have.
Hello!
I'm going to grad school this fall for international affairs. I got my undergrad from a top 5 public university in political science. I was accepted into GMU's International Security program, out of state, with about 5k off my tuition. I got into VT's MIA program, out of state, with no money. I was accepted to TAMU's MIA program, in state, with 3k off. I was also accepted into UKB, (again, no money, American student), as VT and UKB have a joint program called "Two Capitals, Two Masters," which is really cool, where you get two master's degrees in two years (spend two semesters full time at each school).
I'm currently at a crossroads. I'm leaning pretty heavily for TAMU, as the costs are significantly lower (about 30k less overall compared to the other schools, higher in some cases), the Bush school's prestige, they have full in person classes this fall (I am vaccinated so this is a very big deal for me; UKB has full classes but with lockdowns happening again it's unsure, VT is skittish as hell and GMU is shooting for 50%), and there's some other perks I like such as a plethora of fellowships available, extracurriculars, etc.
However, College Station not even close to DC, which is always where I saw my career going in the field. There are some other cons, like I'll need to buy a car, but the location is pretty much the biggest drawback for me.
As for career goals, I'm looking into the foreign service, work in politics (I have a political background), or potentially entering the defense industry depending on a few factors (I have worked in the defense industry as well).
I'll welcome any feedback. Thanks!
