A list of puns related to "Friable"
Last Pap test was clear 3 years ago.
So I donβt really know what Iβm looking for as far as advice or answers but just wanted to get my thoughts out. Back story: got my ileostomy placed in 2017 for motility issues (colonic inertia) and pelvic floor dysfunction. It is a loop and I specifically advised the doctors not to remove my colon. Fast forward to now: I had a colonoscopy last week for my 5 year check up. The doctor said he could only see up to 15 inches of colon and couldnβt make it past, and said there was friability and hemorrhaging. He said he assumed it was because he thought part of my colon was removed and didnβt want to push it further; now he knows that my whole colon is in place and wants to do more imaging and tests, saying that if I do have my full colon and he was having issues moving around in it, then thatβs cause for concern. I guess Iβm just freaked out because I am finally in a spot where I am okay with how everything went down, but now it seems like weβre re-opening old wounds. Can anyone relate?

It was good but it's strange.
Has anyone ever been told they have a friable cervix? 7 weeks ago I went for my usual pap smear and my Dr "popped" my cervix with the swab. She wasn't too hard or rough, I didn't even feel it until later. But before before swabbed she said the inside cervical blood vessels are on the outside of my cervix instead of the inside so I may bleed. (I compared it to a hemorrhoid and she said thats a good comparison.) She packed it with medicine and I just had a follow up this week. It's still the same but she didn't pop it this time. She switched my birth control from Junel to Slynd as I have endometriosis as well. Were hoping less estrogen will make my cervix less vascular. After being on the new bc for 6 days now, I've had a breakthrough period with some major cramps and real blood (with the endo and junel I usually have brown/black blood) so I thought I'd try my cup. I got it during my last period, about 3 months ago, and only got to try it in before my period was over. So today I tried my Lily cup. Everything seemed good until I had to empty it the first time. As I was pulling it out I had a sharp pain and had heavier bleeding throughout the afternoon. So I think I popped it with the cup today, on top of having a real period for the first time in 4 years (because of bc). My Dr did tell me that the cup can make my cervix break if it touches it because of how sensitive it is. My cervix will also bleed after I have sex. I only started using a cup 6 months ago and had the wrong one and then I got the lily cup. I like the lily cup but am I doomed to not use a cup? My normal period has been so light that tampons are too much for me, even lights, and pads irritate me. Has anyone had a friable cervix? And can I still use a cup?
This has yet to be peer reviewed, but the potential for damage to health from mask fibres has rarely been discussed.
βIf every foreign particle and every fiber in every facemask is always secure and not detachable by airflow, then there should be no risk of inhalation of such particles and fibers. Β However, if even a small portion of mask fibers is detachable by inspiratory airflow, or if there is debris in mask manufacture or packaging or handling, then there is the possibility of not only entry of foreign material to the airways, but also entry to deep lung tissue, and potential pathological consequences of foreign bodies in the lungs.
In previous times, before the COVID-19 era, OSHA required that any human-occupied airspace where oxygen measured less than 19.5% to be labelled as βnot safe for workers.β The percentage of oxygen inside a masked airspace generally measures 17.4% within several seconds of wearing.
Results
A variety of face masks were examined macroscopically and microscopically. Each type of new, just unpackaged mask showed particulate matter and/or unidentified fibers. Β The first N-95 showed the fewest loose particles. Β All of the masks showed partially loose fibers in nearly every visual field. Β The cloth mask had been used previously but was laundered and then not used again. Β This also showed loose fibers dangling from the woven fabric of the mask, as well as particulate debris. Β The cloth mask had more loose fibers than the others, typically 4 or 5 partially loose or dangling fibers that were compressible toward the weave in each visual field.
The unclean appearance surrounding the oval shapes of the surgical mask may be due to an artifact of the thermal processing of mask textile. Β This may be some drops of melted polyethylene or other polymer plastic.
Conclusion
Surgical personnel are trained to never touch any part of a mask, except the loops and the nose bridge. Β Otherwise, the mask is considered useless and is to be replaced. Β Surgical personnel are strictly trained not to touch their masks otherwise. Β However, the general public may be seen touching various parts of their masks. Β Even the masks just removed from manuf
... keep reading on reddit β‘Hello, Has anyone got to experience with a friable cervix? My gyno diagnosed me yesterday saying it is sensitive and bleeds easily. The only symptom I seem to have is mid cycle spotting. But the weird part is that itβs on exactly the same day each cycle. Exactly one week after I ovulate, every cycle.
I donβt bleed after intercourse and itβs not painful at all. Gyno did biopsyβs and I find out in a week but Iβm nervous! Should I be worried?
FYI, Iβm not on hormonal birth control but did have a copper IUD for 3 years which came out at the beginning of last year. Now using FAM for birth control and loving it.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts!
24F 170lb 5β3 Had an annual exam/pap today and my doc noticed that my cervix bled very easily (she said βfriableβ). Iβve been experiencing pain during sex, tightness at the vaginal canal opening, and itchy labia minora (treated it as a yeast infection by taking one dose of diflucan) for about a week but no weird odor/discharge or fever. Also, Iβm still sore from the exam, and it takes around 12 hours for my vaginal pain from sex to totally go away. Should I be worried this is something serious? How long should I expect to wait before hearing results from the Pap smear? Also, I told the doc all these symptoms Iβve been experiencing. Thanks!
Hello HomeImprovement
I'm wondering if anyone has completed repairs on sandstone parts of their house.
The front of my home has decorative carved sandstone. Its south facing so it gets a lot of weather and it is crumbling away. Previous owners have tried to fix it with regular cement which is too hard and has caused more damage (its water impermeable so makes the sandstone wear faster).
I can buy lime mortar and repair it myself by repointing, but I want to stablise the crumbling areas first so that the mortar doesn't fall out.
There are products for this like:
https://cpc.farnell.com/everbuild/geostone5/geo-fix-stone-protector-5l/dp/SA03609?
and
https://www.lime-mortars.co.uk/stone-repair/stone-consolidant/namurian/rock/250ml
Has anyone used these products? Are they good?
Getting a pro to deal with this would cost me thousands and its so specialised they could still fuck it up. I have the time to patch test this product on an inconspicuous area and get it right.
Now I'm panicking quite a bit. I've been in that basement in the past to store stuff or to take pictures for my landlord when the water heater broke down. My landlord is extremely defensive right now saying she's had the place inspected and never had any issues.
My question is, how likely is it asbestos got up from the basement into my living space? This is a very old house with basically no insulation. The asbestos is on the pipes mostly in tact but a few in awful shape basically hanging off the pipes.
My landlord demanded I don't hire anyone which is fine. I personally want a sweep done of my living space to test the air quality and see if I've been breathing this in for years now. Can I legally have my living space tested without her permission?
Edit- I'm located in a duplex somewhere in Boston, mass. I've talked with a few environmental testers and asbestos abaters and they have confirmed I have degraded asbestos in my basement through photos. My landlord is refusing me a test.
Hi! 37 y/o female, married. Same partner for 16 years, no cheating on either part. I'm on my 2nd Mirena IUD, which I've had for a few years.
For the past year, I've had brownish spotting for a day or two after sex or orgasm. It didn't happen every time, but often enough. Routine exam at beginning of this year was normal, including Pap smear. Recent colonoscopy due to family history also normal.
Then, recently, I spotted for 3 weeks. Of course, come exam time, I was barely spotting. No obvious bleeding noted by GYN, but he used a styptic stick on cervix just in case. STD test and endometrial biopsy performed, both normal. GYN suspects friable cervix, and said there's not a lot of treatment options. He does not recommend removing IUD.
So, now, I'm bleeding again. Are there treatment options? I'm tired of ruining my underwear. Could my IUD be misplaced, and maybe these are random mini periods? Thoughts?
Anyone else with a friable cervix that starts bleeding for no reason at all? I am going with a cycle of a bit of red spotting, then brown spotting, then dark stringy spotting, then nothing, and then it will spot red again. I had a US a couple of weeks ago where they didn't see anything concerning in the uterus, which is why they attributed it to the cervix, but I am wondering if so much spotting can come from such a tiny thing without cause.
Hi all, I'm not having luck doing a Google search for landlords' legal obligation to their tenants regarding friable asbestos.
I rent a basement bedroom that had duct pipes running overhead with a coating that is degrading substantially. With asbestos, the idea is that if it's in-tact, you leave it alone, but if it's degrading and the fibers are friable (able to get into the air) then you deal with it.
So I called up a Seattle-based asbestos remediation company and sent them a photo of the asbestos-coated pipes. The reply I got is something like, "that does not look safe and you should have this dealt with". They recommend encapsulation rather than removal and that I talk with the landlord.
I'm hoping that when I speak with the landlord that he'll do the right thing and pay to get it fixed. But I'd like to know what his legal obligation is, in case he objects.
The lease has the following paragraph:
>Properties built before and during the late sixties and early seventies may have had lead based products and asbestos products used in them. These products were considered to be safe at the time, just as the building products used today are considered safe for home construction. Only the test of time will show which products are or are not safe to use. Having read the above, the tenant signs the lease below with the full understanding that these conditions may be present in this property. The tenant and all parties associated with this property relieves the owner, property manager, and any of his agents from any responsibilities for these conditions regardless of when or how these conditions were caused. You also acknowledge receiving the EPA Booklet "Protect Your Family from Lead In Your Home" prior to your original lease agreement.
Does this truly waive all his responsibilities, or is this just an unenforceable clause, and superceded by some local, state, or federal law? I'm in Seattle, Washington.
Thanks for any tips!
My parents home has friable chrysotile asbestos floating in the air. They had a close family member remove their popcorn ceiling who definitely didn't go about it properly.
I plan to rent a HEPA air scrubber (Dri-Eaz F284) to remove as much of the particles as possible. I know negative air pressure is used to prevent asbestos fibers from contaminating other areas during removal. But if removal and contamination has already occurred, is creating a negative air pressure environment still necessary? Can I just let the air scrubber run without setting up a negative air pressure?
Any advice on how to deal with this would be appreciated! I'm also planning to wet wipe hard surfaces and use a RRP certfied vacuum (Vacmaster VK811PH) on any carpet.
I know there have been some other asbestos threads here but I haven't come across this exact situation before. We live in a house built in 1907 that has asbestos in the attic. There was an analysis of the home done prior to our moving in that said the asbestos was "friable" but also that the air samples taken in several rooms were negative for asbestos. We had them re-test a year ago to be on the safe and the air again tested negative. There has been no remodeling or anything that would stirred up asbestos in the air at any degree.
My question is whether we should be concerned. We have three small children (under the age of 7) and as bad as it would be to be exposed ourselves, it would be heart-breaking if we're doing anything to harm them. In general, the fact that we've been tested twice and came back negative each time and that it seems like home asbestos exposure is very low risk would appease me. But the "friable" marking on one of the reports leaves open the question of whether there could be risk here.
Thanks so much for any help with this. I'm trying really hard to do the right thing for my family.
Hello All----8+4 here----
I've had some bleeding throughout this whole pregnancy but it was more red yesterday than ever before so we went to the OB today who read my ultrasound notes from a few weeks ago and told me I have a heart shaped uterus----awesome. =/
Also I have a friable cervix which i guess just means it bleeds pretty easily. Since OB doesn't know if the blood is coming from my cervix or my uterus he told me not to tell anyone about the pregnancy---obviously that means we don't know if its going to work out after all. We heard the heartbeat on the 12th----124 BPM.
I guess we will find out in 5 days if this baby has planned on sticking around
---this sucks guys----if it doesn't work out this time i'm not doing this again, its too damn stressful! Kudos and love to you ladies who want kids so bad that you stick it out through the toughest of times and try, try again. I don't know how you do it cuz i'm about to throw in the towel. I'm so ready to hop off this emotional rollercoaster =(
