A list of puns related to "First Fleet"
Really enjoying DS9. This is my first run through but it seems like Nog's entrance exams to Star Fleet were way easier?
Just a little anecdote I wanted to share...
I really miss the slight medieval influence on Fleet Foxes from the first two albums :(
I still loved Crack-up and thought shore was a great record, but still my least favorite of the rotation.
I get it, bands have to evolve, but I truly disagree with the argument that the lyrics and themes in the first albums were attributed to a lack of depth and simply juvenilia. This idea that writing about tired and boring modern themes somehow make you mature as a songwriter I find equally as trite. It's like Robin studied Post-Modernism and removed some of the characteristics and quirks he was told were juvenile. Yet oddly there's more profundity in the first two records.
Perhaps the whole mountain music spirit he was in was actually a vibe/character he created and no longer related to?
There's a timelessness to the other records that places them out of time, which I loved. They are, of course, free to explore themselves "To be held within oneself is death like, Oh I know..." but would it kill ya to not throw out the baby with the bath water? Is it some Samson thing, like as soon as the cut their hair they're now serious adults? They're most certainly not sellouts and still have so much musical integrity. Yet, In a vulgarized world of uninspired pop - they're still a favorite of mine. So, I guess it's not anything I can kick and scream about, but I'd at least like to hear discussions regarding it?
So, am I wrong, should I cut my hair and wax up a surf board? I just want to walk the meadows with the larks and dream.

However most humans that aliens meet were incredibly shy and shunned contact with xenos.
Before there was Lordstown Motors, there was a battle in Ohio being waged over control of electric generation in the state and it still rages on today between Coal, Nuclear, and Natural Gas. Politics has gotten in the way as usual but natural gas will be responsible for more electricity generation than any other source in Ohio for the next few decades until renewables become a legitimate competitor in the generation of electricity. Until the renewables picture becomes more clear, natural gas was set to take over 70% of Ohio Energy by 2040...
But before Lordstown Motors decided to go public in 2020 via SPAC or before House Bill 6 passed in 2019, Clean Energy Future had 3 natural gas power plants planned for the Lordstown/Trumbull County area in 2019....the 2nd plant is still underway into 2022 and the 3rd plant has been killed for now.
I like putting these together even tho it's all just copy/paste but here's a timeline of events regarding Ohio energy production since 2019:
October 2018 - Lordstown Energy Center
It took about two years to build and provided about 900 construction jobs through the process. Itβs estimated the plant will generate about $13 billion in economic impact over the next 40 years. Lordstown Energy Center is completed
Also in 2018 - Lordstown Motors was founded by Steve Burns
Feb 20th 2019 - YouTube video from Siemens - Lordstown Energy Center - Time Lapse
Feb 25th 2019 - The Vindicator - Trumbull Energy Center plans revealed; groundbreaking set for summer
