A friend and I are looking at getting our Latin back in shape post-graduation, and were looking at going through Ovid's Fasti. Any recommendations on a good edition for us to buy? Right now I'm kind of leaning towards the Cambridge edition of Book IV (I see they're releasing an edition of Book III later this year, too), but that's probably because I'm most familiar with them.
Intro:
Once we slap sirus sometimes and cry dying to trialmaster when planets align and he decides to show up, we all crave for nice, dumb, funny memes that will prolly suck even on yellows. But hey, its all about the science, the mechanic, theocrafting and testing in game so we could finally get that dopamine injection once we go to bloods act 9 and cast that brand trap totem. Anyway, that being said, lets jump for my thoughts:
Core mechanic: Getting insane soul eater uptime through soulthirst, replica laviangas spirit(13 sec duration), flask duration clusters and self temp chains.
Why Soulthirst and not zerphis heart?
Well, lots of reasons. First, zerphis sucks with that inc attribute penalty. Second, is kinda clunky since u have to use a vaal skill in order to get soul eater and lastly, u cant use solstice therefore need way more curse effectiveness to cap temp chains slow. Point is: is way cheaper and easier to build around that instead zerphis if our goal is to reach max soul eater duration. Also, zerphis only grants 20 sec soul eater, with soulthirst u literally have soul eater during any flask duration. Doesnt matter if its a 4, 6, 8 or even 13 sec flask. As long its up, u can eat souls and be as tall as your pp on really hot days.
Gear and tree:
Lets make it simple, we need 3 things in order to make this "good": increase flask duration as much as possible, enough curse effectiveness to cap temp chain slow(which is 175% since we are using solstice) and somehow prevent mana from hitting full amount so we dont lose soul eater buff. Also, there are 2 inspired learning spots on our pathing that is a must, they synergize very well with temp chains/solstice. Keep in mind this only work for low tier maps where hexproof mobs arent common.

Curse effetiveness:
Izi, go occultist and double replica doedres damming. Spam some curse effectiveness on tree, near witch start and get 30% temp chains helm enchant. Why I didnt choose curse clusters? Well, kinda expensive getting good ones, with these rings we can skip them but the real reason is getting flask duration clusters is way better. Basically capping temp chains curse effectiveness without mediums is a must since we need flask mediums. -
Flask duration:
Just spam 6 passives flask duration mediums, with 25% (or even 35%, but thats hella hard) and distilled perfection. Thats pretty much best way of bumping flask duration.
