We’re looking to spend 203k Amex points and the chase sapphire reserve intro 50k points for our honeymoon this August. Looking to go to Costa Rica or somewhere to surf by flying out of the DMV.
Amex travel agents keep steering me towards the Caribbean “all inclusive” resorts because I know they get a decent kick back. Any advice or tips for this young churner?

Shipping
Shipping is $4 tracked for up to 8 oz and at cost for any amount above within lower 48. For shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, APO, or US territories I will have to specifically determine the rate which will be at cost. I can ship anything less than $20 in value, less than 3 oz in weight, and not too bulky in a stamped envelope for $1.10, however there will be no tracking. Please note that anything in a 2x2 may be taped over for risky shipped. I will ship outside the US, but the rate will have to be specifically determined. It looks like world wide shipping would start at $9 for Canada and $11 for all other countries if you want tracking. With USPS experiencing historic delays and a plethora of other issues, I will not ship out of the country without tracking. Once I deposit packages in a USPS receptacle, you are at the mercy of USPS and as they are in responsible charge of the delivery, you should take up any issues with USPS.
Payment
I accept Google Pay, Zelle, Cashapp, Venmo, and PPGS. I will not take PPFF as I do not wish to get my account suspended. Leave the comments section blank for all payment methods. Not that you should be making any comments anyways, but I cannot stress this enough DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES MENTION CUBA OR IRAN. Buyer pays applicable fees on all payment methods. ANYWAY, this obviously calls for a contest. Since I'm a bit skint at the moment, it's going to be a longer-running contest, ending on 1 June.
So, I thought, I might as well do something that takes a little longer to enter. I love the scavenger hunts we see on here, so I thought I'd do one of those! Don't worry if you're restricted in terms of where you can go, either due to circumstances or mobility. I'll make the rules so that everyone should be able to enter.
Rules:
- Make a top comment registering your intent to enter. Tag a friend in this top comment. When you're ready to enter, come back and supply your imgur link as a reply to your top comment.
- Provide ONE (1) imgur link with your photo entries (see below) by the deadline of 1 June.

PHOTO REQUIREMENTS:
Please provide one photo of each of the items. If you are unable to find one of the objects for reasons of restrictions, lack of accessibility, disability, unavailability in your area or home, etc., you may draw a picture instead (paper or digital is fine, just make sure that you yourself create it!) You don't have to be a good artist; I'm big on the A for Effort principle.
ITEMS TO PHOTOGRAPH (or draw):

- an animal of any kind, or a stuffed animal in a cute pose
- a cup of your favourite relaxation drink (hot or cold is fine)
- a goofy, mismatching outfit you created from your wardrobe (you can lie it out on the bed if you don't want to take a selfie!)

- a pretty flower, plant, tree, etc.
- something weird you find sitting outside (something odd on the curb side, a lost sock, a weird sign, silly graffiti, etc.)
- something that you can't quite figure out what it's for (outside or inside your home)

If I could give anyone with a JNMIL advice, it would be find an ally and communicate. Mine are my siblings in law, but especially SIL: we were both raised mostly out of the FOG (we've got our own shit, but it's not on MIL's level). MIL & FIL, SIL & BIL, DH & I all live 10+ hours drive away from each other.
My MIL has a habit of planning events(flights to her home state for holidays and family vacations) without asking the participants of these events. She invites herself places and makes (hypothetical) plans and assumes as soon as she's voiced them that they've gone on everyone's calendar without issue or protest. As her kids have gotten shinier spines, this has been harder to do.
Which leads me to Easter: last time we had gotten together, MIL told BIL that she wanted to do Easter together. It was a passing comment she made as she left mine and DH's wedding. (No such comment was made to me as she didn't say goodbye to me before she left and she didn't mention Easter to my DH.)
About three weeks ago, MIL mentions were all getting together for Easter weekend in the city BIL and SIL live in. We'd heard nothing of it and BIL and SIL had communicated with us that they weren't hosting anyone this spring. (They have a lot on their plate but I don't want to give away identifying details.) As soon as DH and I are done discussing these mythical plans (we aren't flying anywhere for Easter because ✨ pandemic ✨ and we're cozy newlyweds right now), I text my SIL to let her know what was in the works. If you have read about my MIL (nickname ideas, please?), you know when she visits she doesn't plan on staying anywhere other than her babbbbbies' houses. I had a feeling she was trying to host Easter at SIL's house without asking.
The last three weeks have been filled with MIL hinting about these plans (going to SIL/BIL city) with my DH and asking him to talk to BIL about it. DH makes clear that we don't feel safe flying until fully vaccinated. To MIL's knowledge, BIL has not been made aware of these plans, which over the course of ten days have become concrete plans in MIL's mind because she said them out loud I guess? DH, BIL, SIL, and I all communicate together and understand what's happening, but MIL lives in her own world so today...
