It was mad fresh, had so much flavor. For the first time ever, Shaggy publicly told us how he got his name. It was a whole story. A hilarious story about the first time Shaggy met Esham. & Shaggy has a dog named "Guacamole Pete."
25 years ago, Esham released probably his most consistent record to date, Closed Casket. While a very respected figure in the underground horrorcore hip hop scene, he never really broke the mainstream. So for those of you that have heard this album, what do you guys think?
This album has a lot of great tracks like 24/7, Slug Froma 45, My Homie Got Shot, Chatty Ass N***a, etc.
This isn’t my personal favorite from him, that would be KKKill the Fetus, but I still think it’s quite an impressive project - Esham and some of the guest verses from Mastamind and TNT are all pretty solid. The sound of this project is amazing, this is some of Esham’s cleanest production ever, and that’s saying a lot.
Imo Esham doesn’t get enough attention for the quality albums that he, as well as NATAS, has released so this may be a good time to shed some light on that.
