I recently found this page and have been glued to it for hours. I'm an adult child of a very involved and respected EH coC family and have been secretly questioning my faith for years. Since I've been off at college, I've taken steps in disengaging from the church and seeking out my own beliefs, and as you can imagine, it's made my relationship with my parents horrendous. As I'm still heavily financially reliant on them, they have every resource I possess dangling over my head in an attempt to control my spiritual life.
I still believe in God and would love to find a Christian church where I can worship and not feel like an imposter all the time. I've lived a double life for far too long, and as painful as it is to deal with the repercussions of speaking my truth, it's incredibly liberating at the same time. I would love to hear more stories similar to mine, it is so nice to know I'm not alone!!
Just wanted to share because I am really happy! I wasn't really expecting anything so this is very much a pleasant surprise! Though, I must also say that I am now very much debating whether to go there or to CU Boulder, so now I need to decide that rather quickly so my feelings of joy are matched with feelings of anxiety of which to choose...

So for a while now I've been making a custom game mode of Arcade where it's mostly focused on headshots and quick reflexes as a way to challenge myself and if possible help people get use to performing headshots.
Usually I try to avoid using the Pyro classes (Cole, Benjamin or Myrrah) because they can be very overpowered in the right hands so mostly stick to the standard gunner class (COG Gear, Anthony, Minh and RAAM) or a DB Specialist (Baird, Hana and the locust drone).
I'm always happy to find new players to indoctrinate into the chaos that is these two game modes. So I'm usually playing after work so, you're welcome to join if any are interested or are simply looking for fellow player to shoot the breeze with. (Ask for more details on the custom changes)

On the 12/09/2019, after not hearing from her son, Brandon Embry, for a couple of days Sarah, and her family were worried. Sarah decided to pay her son a visit in Asheboro, NC, USA. What she discovered at his apartment that day, no mother should ever have to face. Brandon is found, clinging to life. He was gasping for air, unconscious, and what appeared to be, severely beaten.
Sadly, on 16/09/2019, Brandon succumbs to his injuries and dies at 8.57pm
Three days later an autopsy is performed including a 2000 panel toxicology screen
Brandon’s family visit his apartment on 18-19/19 to begin the agonising job of cleaning up the aftermath. What they saw was both horrifying and heart-breaking.
The place was trashed and there was blood in multiple rooms. On the walls, the bed, bed linen, pillows, inside and outside a closet door, window ledge, and blind, above the toilet and on the cracked bathroom mirror. There was also an unknown green substance on the pillows and what looked like water running through the blood spatter in the bathroom. There was hair and matter in some of the blood. There was blood spatter that reached almost to the ceiling. There was also a dead blow hammer that looked like it had small bloody finger prints over it. Understandably concerned, Brandon’s family called the Asheboro police department to discuss their concerns that none of this was either taken into evidence, swabbed or photographed. CSI attend the scene and confirm a possible ‘clean up’ this is also when the family are informed that the police suspect Brandon was taking meth and in a drug induced craze, ‘beat himself to death’ (Toxicology will later prove this meth theory as false. Brandon had no illicit drugs in his system) the autopsy concluded that Brandon died of ‘Pneumonia’ The lead detective then goes on to state that Brandon had taken ‘synthetic marijuana’ despite no evidence of this substance being found in Brandon’s system, evidence log or search warrants.
07/02/2020 the medical examiner amends the autopsy to ‘undetermined’ after a conversation with the lead detective about her ‘synthetic marijuana’ theory. Despite no evidence to support this. Brandon’s case was ultimately closed on the 27/02/2020
What truly happened that day? it still remains a torment and mystery to his family.

I’m an international student who’d like to become a professional pilot. I have already been accepted to two universities: Mt. Allison in Sackville, NB, Canada (which has a partnership with Moncton Flight College, where flight training occurs); and Embry Riddle in Prescott, AZ, USA. I know ERAU is by far the most prestigious institution but as an international student I don’t know what career opportunities I would have inside the US, whereas in Canada I would have more chance of migration. I have also heard some stories about ERAU being a ripoff, but I’m not sure about the veracity of those claims. Any opinion or help that you could provide would be hugely appreciated. I remember that ArcadeKitten stated in an AmA on her Instagram that Embry was inspired by a Psych lecture, which led me to think about what sort of things may have inspired the character themselves. After looking it up, one of the closest things that could be equivocated to Embry's situation is Post-Traumatic Stress, as quite a few symptoms match up fairly well:
- Feeling Depressed or Grouchy / Losing interest in things they used to enjoy: Embry repeatedly expresses a lack of interest in previously enjoyed activities (such as painting and gardening), which is a very notable symptom of depression itself.
- Being more aggressive than before, even violent/ Feeling nervous, jittery, or alert and watchful: Embry, despite appearing not particularly aggressive in most situations or in flashbacks, reacts physically and aggressively to events such as Dr. D Light suggesting they go down into the basement. You could also express this with Embry's general distaste to Dr. D Light actually appearing at all. Embry also expresses a set of repeated paranoid tendencies, and never seems quite 'at ease' throughout the entirety of the game.
- Nightmares and sleep problems / Having flashbacks: Embry, repeatedly throughout the course of the game, experiences nightmares reliving past events.
- Worry about dying at a young age: Embry fully and wholeheartedly believes that they will die if they do not feed the monster, which is an unusual thing for a child to worry about in general.
- Stay away from certain places or situations that bring back memories: Embry simply refuses, even when directed to by the player, to enter their Parent's room or the Dining Room. Perhaps in both cases because these places remind them of their parents.
- Loss of Touch with Reality / Reliving the event over and over in thought or in play: While Embry's age is never quite specified, it appears that Embry themselves has lost a lot of touch with reality even for their own age, wholeheartedly believing that a 'monster' is living in their basement and killed their parents. The entirety of the belief of the monster may be a coping mechanism, preventing themselves from facing the actual realities of their situation, they concoct a fantastical scenario in order to repeatedly 'feed' both themselves and the probably-not-real monster in their basement.

Hello, So I was planning to take a summer course at UB, but due to the price that isn't financially feasible for me. So I'm trying to instead take the equivalent course from Embry-RIddle Aeronautical University Worldwide.
The only issue is that this particular course isn't pre-approved through Taurus. So do I risk becoming a year behind or do I bite the bullet and take the more expensive summer class through UB?
Does anyone have any experience in this type of situation?

Now I didn't know him before and don't know how well he's known in the US and Canada and it's from 2018 so y'all probably already know it... but to those who watched it too, what do you think and is there anyone here who really follows his strict diet?

Timeline 2010 February - 2018 August Brandon is out of the Navy and lives near us in WA state. He moves to Everett then Burien, WA where he attends UW as a chemistry/chemical engineering student with honors before relocating.
2018 August
Brandon moves to North Carolina and takes an apartment in Asheboro. Brandon works for local welding companies then taking a better paying job, where he commutes to Texas, two weeks on, two weeks off. Next, he takes a job out of Charlotte repairing robotics, last traveling with work to Chicago at the end of August. I picked him up Thursday, September 5th, 2019 when he returned from Chicago. One week later he is found beaten, gasping for life, on his bedroom floor after I called 911 because he wasn’t answering the door after trying to reach him.
2019 February 8-10 Brandon tells his sister he is seeing a girl but he doesn’t think it is going anywhere because she is going back to Russia. Later, Cassandra will message me that Brandon was telling her in February he felt like he was going to die soon. She sent a message stating they were together for Valentine’s Day, “I recall the first time he told me this I’m going to die I’m not going to be here long…”. Brandon mysteriously fell ill around this time. Cassandra was in NC because she was charged for an infraction by the NC court February 15, 2019.
2019 February 19-22 Brandon is treated in the ER and admitted to ICU. Respiratory failure with clear lungs, renal failure, neurological failure, abnormal urine with calcium oxalate crystals, abnormal blood labs and abnormal blood gases, sepsis, without knowing what was wrong with him and without a diagnosis.
2019 September 6 Friday afternoon – Brandon comes over to dog sit for me overnight because I have to drive to KY to pick up my daughter.
2019 September 7 Saturday – I talk to Brandon shortly on the way home to tell him happy birthday. We get home around 8 or 9pm and he has already left. He texted my husband at 7:36pm and said he had plans to meet this girl but she canceled on him. Later, this girl will tell three different versions of waiting for Brandon on his birthday at his apartment. Was she actually with him?
2019 September 9 Monday, Brandon texts me 4:21pm he has a bad headache and it’s terrible timing because he has a lot of stuff he needs to take care of. I’m a junior and I’m starting to worry that I won’t be accepted into the school. It’s my dream school right now and I’m worried they will mainly look at my gpa and decide that it’s too low. I have about a 3.4-3.5 unweighted gpa right now and I’m worried they’re gonna look past my sat and act scores and not accept me cuz my gpa is too low. I also didn’t make honors society and I’m not in many extracurriculares, and I don’t have much leadership under my belt either. I feel like I’m lacking and I’m worried they won’t take me
I’m just curious to anyone else who got accepted and what sort of things did you need or did you have? Do you think I’d make the cut?
